Kuba is dying to see the role of the gods of higher existence in the god of war games isn't he? that's why he linked 'higher existence and kratos role as the god of death' out of nowhere. But santa monica isn't giving him. I really want to see them aswell, but I am getting a gut feeling they might have abandoned it (says who was really interested in them) Cory is off working on another IP Atreus broke the mask (which might be nothing but a macguffin) The devs want to think its some higher existence related shit but it isn't actually. This fused together creating this innate emotional conflict within himself, making his god rage power, kratos in his regular demigod state DOES NOT have this ability, greek demigods are MORTALS there is no such thing as demigods being as powerful as gods unless you are risen to divine rank and given godhood, which is the second definition and term for “demigod” mortals who become gods, which is what kratos is

I was under the impression from another theory that the curse of his family's ashes on his skin was why he couldn't stay dead. He was marked for eternity so that all will see his sin or something like that. Becoming Death is another possibility, but then you gotta wonder, is he death because he took someone else's place? speaking of that gow2 mystery why he doesn't save his family, I think the thread of his family was not longer there anymore. And maybe he could have used his thread but its also possible if you consider the thread as a "video tape" that part of his life might have been cut off and thrown away by the sisters of fate earlier?
I actually think the next game will start off with Kratos's death. Like, they'll teach us how to play, then give us a cool little mini boss, then we'll get the crazy over the top boss that the games always start with, (I think that boss will be Forseti, the god of justice, who is seeking justice for Asgard) and he will kill Kratos, and they will close his book, and open Atreus's in Egypt, or China, or wherever he went in search of the giants

Always find your GOW theories interesting& cool 🍻
No, they just claim the throne, it's not some unique passing of the title. If that were so, then the sisters of fates powers would pass to Kratos, but he was only able to use the mirrors twice, and the temple collapsed after the death of the sister. I theorize that Kratos can come to the edge of death and come back, because of the ashes of prometheus he absorbed in gow2. I think he took on his curse to always revive. And curses don't seem to die with their castor, since Kratos is still ashen.....

Dude you’re wild. Very good video.
It’s a quote from the Bhagvad Gita. Oppenheimer said it too. “Now I have become death, the destroyer of worlds.”
I truly believe the only reason why Kratos refuses to die is because he has his son and he had his wife I believe Kratos has true Infinity and true infinite lifespan and powers he can never die but he continues to grow older
After fighting Hades for the first time back in 2011, I speculated for every god Kratos slays, he doesn't just get their weapons, but gets their godhood. Ex: He becomes the new god of the underworld when Hades died, then the god of speed as Hermes died, then all leading up to becoming essentially the god of gods when defeating Zeus.

I truly enjoyed this Theory being a big fan of God of War I feel like it makes so much sense and I will definitely keep this as my headcanon ❤
Tbh it's refreshing to see a content creator enjoy the snacks they were sent to review instead of always seeing the typical review video we often see online.
Mane @Kaptainkuba you did it again ✊🏿✊🏿😎 I swear I don’t.think nobody ever looked at Kratos like that but it makes sense
Mind blown🤯 would not be surprised if this is all very true!! Another note, one of your theories that was spot on was your prediction (back before Ragnarök was released) that Tyr would be an imposter/he wouldn't actually be alive... you may be on to something with Kratos being death itself!!! Excited to see what comes next!
I payed off my student loans, got married had 12 kids and kuba finally posted
Member when Kuba said he ain’t gonna do these vids no more but then he comes back with some heat Theory like this 😭🔥 glad he back
Man what a good theory. Great video!
Amazing video Thank you brother
Been waiting for a captain kuba GOW video 🔥🔥🔥
I think ragnorak Valhalla gives us the actual answer at the end: Kratos is a god of hope. He embodies it in all of what he has done, the good and the bad points of hope. Hope can pull you out of the deepest pit, and pull you right into one, depending on what you are hoping on and how you use it. Hope can destroy worlds and save them. It starts wars and finishes them. Lastly, I also think kratos being unable to die is due to this little classic line: “hope never truly dies.”
That was a cool theory, my headcanon was that he was always the god of strength(I think greek myth has a Kratos like that) which explained his feats of strength especially in GOW 2 where he lost his powers as god of war. I also wonder if Kratos usurped Deimos' fate as the marked warrior by mantling(like in the elder scrolls) because im sure the sisters of fate would want to make sure the prophecy never happens if their lives are on the line and would make sure they got the right kid.
Nice theory, Also there's a quote of Ares in GoW1 who says: " YOU will become "Death" itself! "
Love you kuba please continue the hunting berserkers videos really miss them
Kuba is back🔥🙏🏾
Great video!!!
One of the more interesting theories !! I like this one
Good, i already spoked about this. Kratos is Death ( possible Reaper ), we must wait for SM to tell us more about higher existence, it would be all connected.

This doesn’t make sense there’s no proof of this except a line from Zeus that was not literal because they never mention it again, and the fact that kratos kills people and people die sometimes when they know kratos. Kratos doesn’t become the gods that he kills; god of war one showed there was a ritual that made you god of war.
@kaptainkuba awesome theory! do you remember the "secret message" in god of war II, where the sky fills with the text "now i am become death, the destroyer of worlds"? this changes everything 😵
Glad to see another GOW theory hopefully more to come 🙌🏼 but completely unrelated comment .. imagine GOW3 but ran on todays GOW engine and camera movement ? i thinj game of the year easily.
Great video man
This is a fantastic theory and does make alot of sense
Awesome theory, Kaptain.
Such an interesting theory I love this
Damn this opened my eyes, this is such a solid theory.
If Kratos was the God of Death, then could this be possible: - Thor killed Kratos at the beginning of Ragnarok (then revived him), becoming God of Death (I think Barlog confirmed Kratos died), - Odin killed Thor, becoming God of Death, - Sindri killed Odin when Atreus placed his soul in the marble, becoming God of Death, - Sindri could be God of Death???

Sindri, The Ghost of Svartalfheim
I got chills down my spine when I realized the tragedy of Kratos accepting he was death itself for the entire god of war universe. The story just got another layer or perspective
The inheritance theory of the divine role is intriguing, it reminds me of the mythology of the hyperborian era and other shamanic ideologies where the archetype transcends through a messianic avatar. Personally, I think that Kratos' role as a deity of War, Destruction and Death is included with his demidio legality, but the interesting thing is that how you highlighted hope got him out of that vicious cycle and now he is using his talent responsibly. And who knows if it is something else, like a counterpart of the plane of existence or part of it but in another archetypal focus!

Wouldn't that make Kratos the entire Greek pantheon though? He killed them all, so why would he not mantle them all?

@@Nostradevus1 Curious question and whose answers are the following: 1) The entire Greek pantheon was corrupted and by destroying them its essence transmuted into chaotic cataclysms 2) Kratos possessed the power of hope and acquired more power thanks to Pandora's sacrifice 3) Kratos lost much of his divinity by sacrificing himself for humanity PS I think that what Kratos did was directly an absolute reset, since somehow everything was stagnating similar to Kronos when he tried to cheat the prophecy... That power cannot be removed, only by earning it does one achieve it...

@@juanisol8275 None of those explain how the mantling theory can be true while he was not mantling each god he killed.1. I took those cataclysms as being signs that the Gods were required to keep the different aspects of the world in check. Once he killed a god of say the seas you start seeing floods, because noone is around to keep the seas in check. This means noone was mantling those divine aspects, which begs the question again. If he can mantle the god of death just by killing him, why not the others? 2. Has nothing to do with the mantling. I understand he had the power of hope, but it is separate entirely from the power of the gods. 3. He is still clearly a god in God of war 4/5, the game director said he is stronger than he has ever been, and lastly in God of War 5 it is explained that the Greek magic/magical items he acquired no longer work because magic is bound to the realm. Kratos as a God has become stronger, but has to learn to tap into the magics of the Norse realms.
That's a very nice theory. It makes a lot of sense.
Interesting indeed this is on point i agreed.
Bro you should have been the write of ragnarok tbh. 😩🤝🖤 Kuba strikes again with a banger.
Great video I like how you broke it down. Personally think it’s highly probable that him being the god of death is in fact the case.
"Why can't Kratos die?" The man has killed more than 2 death related gods and deities in the Greek saga.
Trust me, I feel you. Sometimes I look at snacks, black out, and they're gone.
This hit different when you know that in greek "philosophy", death comes to all, even gods.
I remember reading somewhere that the original plan after God of War III was for Kratos to become the God of Death. Apparently they were going to do a game about him as the God of Death set in modern times.
Damn this is actually a W theory, could definitely see this being canon, also ares also says that kratos will become death itself so that could’ve also been foreshadowing
Bro made the greatest comeback on gow theory video and made it the best
A damn good theory bro!
That went so off the rails, so fast
i have also had theories about other theologies gods systems, rhings like reincarnation, kharma and cultivation apply to kratos and fods in general. which could also play into what is above the gods
Kratos: By the Gods, What have I Become. Zeus: Death ☠️ The Destroyer of World's
That also will explain why he is so powerful, since Thanatos is consider to be the most powerful god in all GOW series
The reason why he’s able to kill Thantos it’s because he’s using the Blades of Chaos, it was explained in ragnarok that it is a primordial weapon and possibly contains a primordial fire, which is far older than the greek gods. Old as Chaos. Its source is not bound in its birthplace, the reason why Kratos is able to use it in whatever place he goes.
Haven't even seen the video yet, but I really enjoy this idea especially what type of God would it be after killing every Greek god god of death seems quite fitting he evolves from god of war to god of death
Hey kaptain kuba , i love the fact you bring your higer existence theory in every video somehow but you are forgetting one particular thing remember after the final with odin the Ragnarok wouldn't stop so freyr sacrificed himself and it got cut to Atreus having a dream about his mother but strange part is in a normal it should have been something like like him spending time with her but her action in his were not that it was something else, similar thing happened with kratos too and we can't just ignore that for a normal dream
