Jones would just do what he always does with rematches. He would beat his ass more decisively the 2nd time. People’s best chance of beating Jones is to beat him the first time they fight. Once Jones see’s their style up close and personal, he learns how to train for them a lot better and then it’s all over. He’s the champ for a reason.👊

If Jones did what Reyes did and Reyes did what Jones did, everyone would say that Jones won and that's the truth. But it didn't happen that way now did it? Reyes beat Jones in the first three rounds and those "judges" proved their incompetence throughout the event.

Chael I have to agree with GSP you have been one of my favorite MMA guys been watching you since WEC day's your commentary is always on point I just want to say that if we look at Jon Jones history in his rematches it did not go too well for the challenger Dominic is in a position similar to what Chris Weidman had before he got to fight Silva except Chris won definitely not that it would happen but I would hate to see Dominic go in there and get smoked I feel like Jones has been playing possum doing the bare minimum to win there are several techniques Jones has used in the past that he has not been using that I think people have forgotten about I think that Dominic can get the win but I would like to see him fight Santos or Smith or both first before he fights Jones again

nah, he beat the fuck out of jones, had him running was blasting his head in circles. jon is a bum and hell get slept in the rematch. jones does good in rematches against people he can exploit. he cant exploit dominick w anything but his epo cardio which dom will finish in 2 so no worries. any fight but reyes v jones to will not get watched by me.

Jones V’s Reyes 2 Hell yea! But... If we can look at his situation with without tunnel vision maybe there’s other possibilities besides he’s scared or doesn’t want to fight Reyes again. He’s been very active since he’s been back. He’s taking quite a bit of damage within in probably a little less then a yr and a half (time frame could be off). 2 of those opponents (Santos & Reyes) have to be (imo) the hardest hitting and skilled fighters he’s faced so far. Makes sense for him to take his time signing anything. Especially if he fights Reyes again. Jmo

I have watched the Jones and Reyes fight several times and each and everytime I see it Dominic Reyes still comes out tops. Jones just scarcely won 2 of the final rounds but from 1-3, Reyes aced him out guys

KB 28 - I’ve been a Jones fan since the disqualification on Hamill so you’re preaching to the choir my dude. Santos vs Jones was a much more exciting fight than Reyes vs Jones so I’d much rather see that rematch than Reyes get another try at being gassed for the last two rounds

I want to see Thiago Santos vs. Jon Jones again. Marreta was hurt in the first fight, an injured knee, but I’m sure that he could rock Jones in the rematch and put him down with one single strike.

I like Dom. I think everybody does. I just don't know yet, if he has "it", and if I don't see it like a flashing billboard, its probably not there.

They gave that fight to Jones largely because he was a fight from breaking the record and with relatively close fights the judges seem to lean towards the champ. They don't want to take away a championship, a record and a legacy for a close fight. Jones doesnt want that ofc. He is unarguably in the GOAT discussion...but he has been out during times where he could have lost, gotten some VERY controversial split decisions and not fought guys who potentially could have beaten him. He has been strangely lucky during his time being suspended. Btw for context...I like Jones and I do not have the burning rage towards him that some fans do. I rarely if ever complain about robberies, if ever. But this really felt like one.

If we can choose one rematch from active fighters I want to see the rematch between Covington and Usman. That was one of the best fights I have ever seen in my life and plus Covington was definitely about to win until Usman faked a nut shot and Mark let him take a break even though the kick was a foot above the waist and took all the momentum away from Colby. Covington was still winning the fight with striking even with a broken jaw LOL. Credit to Usman for finishing the fight. But no wonder Usman does not want that rematch right away either because even he thought he was losing that fight during it. What a great fight can’t wait to see it again

This is what people need to understand about Jones.. He’s literally the smartest most technical light heavyweight ever.. when he was young, Jones KNEW he was younger, faster, longer and stronger than everyone he faced early on.. Most if not all were passed their “prime”... and he wld steadily attack.. He knew that him being younger was an advantage in regards to cardio.. He was a high level athlete just as much as the top guys.. always training and fighting... he was able to use the most simplest of advantages in those fights.. as he’s gotten older, he KNOWS that he himself has slowed down.. and with that.. he uses their inexperience against them.. Reyes isn’t much younger than Jones BUT Jones has been in more wars and has taken more damage inside the Octagon than Reyes.. So he knows now he mustn’t expend all his energy in beginning rounds.. you gotta remember this huge difference.. Look how long Jon Jones has been fighting 5 round fights.. a long fucking time.. since he became the champ .. think about that shit.. Only fighting he knows is a 25 minute fight.. so he simply used his fight IQ to stay Champ.. and to continue to run these marathons.. he pushes forward and makes calculated attacks with the main focus of defense.. to block your leg kicks.. to have his hands up at all times .. he’s a push forward counter fighter.. dude is just smart.. when it comes to mixed martial arts.. as much as you want him to lose.. the only way he loses is if Dana pays him enough to step down.. cos no one is beating him..
