Question: I really enjoyed Alex's breakdown of manager success by position and found his manager XI interesting. Could we get a statistical breakdown of each manager he chose for his XI and why he chose them?

I feel it'd make a good Podcast episode for the Foootball Cliche's team. They do a lot of XI's videos for various situations afterall. Usually include a lot of fun insight and history to their picks too.
Since Tom Worville escaped the scattergram and joined RB Leipzig, their results and league position have improved significantly. How much of this is correlation, how much is causation and what measures should you take to ensure Mark Carey doesn't escape too?

Question: Antonio Conte recently said that Eric Dier is "one of the best defenders in the league" and, in December 2021, said that he can become "one of the best defenders in the world." And Jose Mourinho famously admired Dier greatly. Almost no regular football fans would give Dier so much credit, so are we being unfair to him?

Having watched most spurs games I’d even argue that his mistakes leading to goals would have to be in the high 90 percentiles, he doesn’t make many at all

@@Smitdogz ....dang that's a good point on mistakes vs mistakes leading to goals, as usually I watch Dier and think he is rubbish. I still think he is BUT you've got me thinking there. sorta kinda. He had attributes in terms of ball retention and progressive passing that were key to Poch's style. But he was also VERY injury prone, and did not score as many goals as he should. I would posit that Eriksen was probably more important and consistent

Tbf this real Madrid team is being given a bit too much credit for beating PSG ; PSG dominated both legs for 85% of the tie just fell apart completely. Benzemas brilliance kinda glosses over alot of the teams deficiencies (despite being way better than last year). That said barca still dominated them one of the best barca displays I've seen in years. This is a youngish barca team with alot of potential but I still feel if they come up against a complete team like liverpool city or bayern they'd get ripped to shreds

until they properly fix their financial situation? probably not. Don't be fooled by their dismantling of Real Madrid.. god only knows what was going on in Carlo's head last night with his bizarre team selection and formation.
Respect. I truly think Joelinton is becoming a modern goat of the game. The awareness and passing ability he shows from game to game is truly unmatched. I think 8 years from now he will be an 8 time winner of the Ballon dor and truly cement himself in the football hall of fame.
It's incredible how he transformed himself in just a couple of months, huge congrats to Eddie, once again

This show is going to blow up, never had a bigger smile on my face whilst watching something football related. Sending hugs and kisses from Sydney
People can’t forget that Joelinton becoming a deeper midfielder cam first against Norwich as Newcastle were down to 10 men after Clark was sent off and that meant joelinton had to play a mixture of a ball winning midfielder and also try and push up the wing to support ASM and Wilson upfront. Howe has done brilliantly to notice his true potential as a free flowing ball winning midfielder
This is by far and away the best content, not just on KZread, but anywhere
This show is insane. I love it

With the introduction of greatly increased positional flexibility of how modern teams play football (for example Liverpool's right hand side trio of TAA, Henderson and Salah), what do you feel is the possibility of the sport reaching the point where most, if not all, 10 outfield players are trained in such a way that they have the ability to rotate with almost anyone on the pitch?

Ye I was gonna reply saying they did it in the 70s but someone beat me to it. It's the biggest inspiration for Johan cruyffs playing philosophy and it's direct evolution can be said to be tiki taka. It was revolutionary at the time cuz it was the antithesis to the strongest tactic at the time the Italians catenaccio which relied on total positional obedience and was very defensive. I'm 70% certain it's acc a tifo video I remember this from lol
this is slowly turning into my favourite series on youtube

Man I think that's the first time Seb's been on camera! Nice change of pace seeing him breakdown tactics at the board Alex and JJ are so quick and want to show the tactics, but I thought Seb was very deliberate and took the time to paint the image of what the little circles represented. Great work to the whole Tifo team, as always!

What has changed with Kai Havertz? He has looked like a completely different forward as of recent, scoring significantly more. Is he just in form, more confident, or does something else back this up?

Havertz put on a bit of muscle during the summer. there’s nothing in his play style that has changed tho. But he is a lot more tenacious than last season. I think the Lukaku signing put a chip on his shoulder
How generally "uninterested" in the answers Joe is makes this show so much better! 😂
Would be interested in research around the importance of ambidexterity and its quantification. I feel like being equally good with both feet can open up a player's game exponentially, given shooting/passing/dribbling options that become available with more angles at a player's disposal and therefore the added number of dimensions that opponents need to consider.
Joelintons is such a powerhouse. So strong and energetic. His workrate and teams spirit is off the charts. Try to watch him closely when the PL starts.
Would you guys be able to analyze any Libertadores fixtures/teams at some point during the season? I think I'm not alone in saying I'd love to see a bit more South American football on the channel! Cheers from Brazil!
About the Peter Crouch Van Der Vaart partnership. Out of Van Der Vaart’s 13 non penalty goals the only season they played together, the first 4 were all played down by Crouch for Van Der Vaart to finish off, however in total they only got 6 together (which is still very impressive)
This is the best channel EVER

question: how amazing was Cesc Fabregas, i honestly think at arsenal he was our best player for a good few years

Question: how should teams play when up/down a man to use/hide the advantage
I've got an unusual question- as a Palace fan I was told we had "an easy run to the semi final" and it made me wonder - and I'll put this in caps for effect DO FA CUP WINNERS TEND TO HAVE "EASY" RUNS TO THE FINAL?
These somehow get weirder every week and I’m absolutely here for it
Question: what is a sensible transfer and a spared no expense transfer for both arsenals midfield to play alongside Partey and a new striker?
Sebs excited face is amazing
question: what would football look like if instead of points, teams won based on goal difference in the table? would it change the formations used to prioritise scoring more goals or would the focus be on defence?
This is easily the best thing on the internet
you've gotta mention alan smith (the leeds one) when talking about centre forwards turned ball winning midfielders
Question: How often do good assistant managers actually work as good managers?
Question: Do you play it up for the camera or do you all genuinely despise each other?
Although lacazette is doing well in his role, who could be the future in the arsenal no9 role Should they stick with system or change it for a different kind of striker Cheers
Yes, thanks for asking
I would love to see who you think are the best run club in the world. We see many teams praised for their points accumulated relative to the net spend of the playing squad or for profiting from having very consistent youth academy players coming through etc. Who do you guys think are the best run considering all the possible parameters you can?
Big fan of Peter Crouch and liked him in both spells at Pompey - shame he wasn't there for longer during our time in the Premier League.

The Eric Andre vibes coming off of this show are amazing. I never thought those two important worlds would meet (Football, Eric Andre) but I am so glad that they have. Also, Dog as pig.
We hear a lot these days that the classic "Target Man" will come back into fashion. But how likely is it really? Will we see a team win the Premier League with this style soon?
Those Joelinton stats 1 year on ait changed much and he is infact on course to becoming one of the best midfielders in the world

I love how personality has been injected into this channel
Question: How good is Rice at the minute and what could his ceiling be? He's an English player so obviously gets a lot of hype but personally I feel it's justified. Discussion please!

Question: saw an infographic from the athletic comparing the four English right backs in the epl. Felt to me as incomplete and it might be a better comparison to compare the lb/rb duos for these teams. As a Liverpool fan my bias is showing but to compare Trent's heading is silly. He's never in a position to win them. But include Robertson in that and they would look excellent as a pairing. Robbo wins a ton at the front post
