Hey Jmac ~ curious how you handle selling $1-3 cards on eBay AND at shows (I set up at shows). How do you manage if someone buys multiple cards (think stacks of 10,20,50 cards at a show and then pull those off eBay?
I’m 15 and I sell what I can afford on my dads eBay account and it helps me so I can keep going up and profit enough to build up for PC Cards and for my college. 95% of my sales are $1.50-$25 sales

JMac - you’ve figured out quite a lot in your short time selling. Your business model is spot on. I started and have progressed similarly since 2014. Every collection purchased is both a treasure hunt and a challenge to maximize the ROI. And great job on the channel and your informative videos. The Epson printer trick was very useful.

Good video. I've been selling low end for about a year now. Even when prices fluctuate like they do, there will always be people buying low end. Staying consistent with listing everyday is the hard part. Get over that hump and week by week watch your store grow! Nothing more satisfying.

That's great you are doing well selling low dollar cards, that is what I want to do someday after I retire. I sold mostly high dollar cards I cashed out of during 2020, 2021 but I sold some dollar cards as well to build my seller feedback and I enjoyed selling the cheap stuff more because I never worried about something happening to the package like I did with the expensive cards.
I love watching your journey! Congrats!

I sell mostly only low end. Sell about 30-50 a week to support my PC and other hobby ventures, and obviously buy more to sell. I make money on every card and it’s fun offering the cheaper cards to people who don’t want to pay $5 for shipping. I love it.

Another cool thing about the ability to buy collections (since you arent afraid of moving lower end cards ) would be the treasure hunting aspect of it. How many gems have you found and how much fun do u get going through stacks of the unkown? Maybe the rush of ripping wax? Could be a cool video maybe your favorite “finds” in the wild. Love the content man keep it up!!

This is awesome JMac I have the exact same mindset when it comes to selling low end cards! A lot of people see those cards as throw aways but I see it as money to be made like you said! I love when people get all weird when I tell them I do it part time because they think high end is the only cards that sell haha there’s money to be made in it! It’s worth the grind in the end

Was watching storage wars and dave hester said that the goodwill helped him with his thinking when his business wasnt doing well but showing him to sell the lower end stuff like nick nacks and how u will make more money off of that then trying to sell big high dollar items like a $5000 dining table set. Guess the same applies as to what the guy in the video was saying
I would like a run down on shipping and lables through eBay ESE and double mailer sizes
Love that Let's go
I just came across this video and i love it......... one main question i have though is when you refer to low end cards, is that like Base cards? Thinking about going back to doing Pick & Choose listings with a bulk discount on it but not sure for all my base cards when i open product

Love watching your educational videos on this great hobby that we love. I'm learning all I can before I start my journey of selling on Ebay. In a future video, can you speak about if you have cards with $1.00 shipping, for example, and a buyer buys multiple cards? How would you go about combining the shipping ? Thank you JMac
Thanks for the info. As a buyer I agree with a lot of what you are saying on some of the larger sellers. I will buy from Burbank but skip COMC as soon as I see them. They are slow and their shipping is outrageous. Can't buy inexpensive stuff, it will cost you $10 for a $3 card and you wont get it until next month... Good luck!
@JMacSportsCards
Жыл бұрын
Yep, a lot of their auctions are bought from COMC accounts as they don’t have to pay shipping fees, so their sales volume is a bit misleading.
You're blowing up JMac! Was expecting the "ain't nobody got time for that" clip, but then you pull out Clint Eastwood, we'll done sir.
@JMacSportsCards
Жыл бұрын
Haha love that movie!!
You mentioned "high fees" as a deterrent to utilizing COMC ... Arguably relative, but if you're smart about it, it can still be profitable and take much less of your time than eBay. I've been on COMC now for over 2 years, have sold over $8K of cards on the platform - as long as you do mass submissions on "fresh pulls", you processing and postal fees are reduced significantly. You do have to do a good deal of research to determine which cards have the best chance of selling on the platform, but in general any product that has just come out will easily sell (mainly since there is little competition and you can sell at more of a premium). To me time is $, so now that I have my system down, I can make a very nice profit on cards that average @ $2 sold -

The guy who asked for freebies, you should've dropped some energies pokemon cards, that's what I do! 😂😂😂
Can't hit home runs all the time. Selling low-end and commons relieves the pressure of making the big sale which can lead to huge mistakes.

I AM AT A WORST POINT IN MY LIFE N JUST LOOKING AT THIS HUGE COLLECTION I HAVE COLLECTED OVER THE YEARS N JUST DONT KNOW WHERE TO START... I BELIEVE I CAN MAKE IT BIG ,,,JUST DONT KNOW WHEE TO START
I have close to 6,000 low end cards currently listed and sell 1-3 on average a day what would be your advice on increasing sell volume?
Im hoping now that ebay bought tcgplayer they start a similar platform for low end sports cards.

So you are using the store app? I noticed the low price one is $60 a year. Do you know how many cards I can list? I'm really not sure.
Most of my ebay store is .99 - $5 cards and almost everything I list sells, some stuff sells a lot more that what I think it’s actually worth it surprises me. I do .99 auction on every item, sells for more than when I list it for a set price in my experience
