Is it too good to be true or do they actually work and good enough for you?

Aftermarket a/c kits can get pretty costly now a days so when I saw a cheapo a/c unit on eBay I wondered will this actually work and if it does how well, so I assembled together my own kit and gave it a shot…surprisingly the compressor turned on and things started happening

You would not believe the amount of people that do not understand that as the outside temperature increases the air coming out of the vent will get warmer. You do nice work and it cools the Generals inside. Good deal.

I have the Lincoln MkVIII electric fan in my Camaro. Moves the most air of any oem fan, as far as I know, and way more than the aftermarket ones. I did have to upgrade my alternator, and a few wires. Even if it's over 100 out, the car runs at 170 or lower.

@Chris birdsong : I was really hoping you had figured out which factory little shitbox car has an easy to use AC/HEAT box.. A few years ago, I saw a video on here about using one from a Toyota or Honda or Yugo or something the boneyards are full of. I thought I bookmarked it, but lost the link... The unit had everything we need in it's factory package and was about the same size as the Vantage Air units... I was really hoping you had found it or another simple factory unit.... So, STILL LOOKING... lol.. PS, today was 105*s with 48% humidity here in Tampa Bay.... Yeah, we need serious AC units here too!!

Instead of those manual water shutoff valves why not get one or a pair of cable controlled heater control valves that way you can open/close the flow of coolant to your heater core from the inside of the car. Additionally have you considered making a cable or servo (electric or vacuum) splitter that sits on top of the outlet vents of the under dash unit so that you can have air blow out your defroster ducts.
