IS IT TOO BIG TO CATCH?! (INTENSE)

Спорт

In this video, @FISHANE84 and I are fishing on the coast, in our kayaks. About halfway through the trip, I have a MASSIVE fish make a huge wake and strike my lure right under my kayak! This is the most INTENSE strike of my life!
30+minute battle, and we caught this monster!

Just curious, but what is the point of pitting them against each other? Different things for different people. Everyone is working with what they have to work with and trying to entertain people to make a living. May mot be my cup of tea, but also not a big deal. Unless I missed them throwing shaed at each other, no need for us to do it. Now the one guy who actually hurts his pets and fish he catches, toss him under the bus all day.

I showed this video to my kids, age 5 and 3, to show them the moments a fisherman live for. Needless to say, they have been talking about fishing, playing imaginary fishing games, and asking to go fishing ever since. Your video has helped me instill a bit more love and excitement for one of my passions in my kids. Thanks man. I grew up fishing in Galveston Bay for flounder, reds, and specs with my dad, and i'm looking forward to doing the same with my kids. Hope we see you on the water one day.

There's nothing like Father and Son fishing, and I still remember vividly my Dad teaching me first, freshwater, then saltwater. He's passed now, but every time I hit the water, his spirit is with me. Priceless memories indeed!! Good on you for carrying on a Father/Son tradition, one that hopefully they'll pass on to their own children. Well done Sir.

I'm always solo when kayak fishing and when I get into a good fish I think "I wish I had some help" but then I realize there isn't much anyone can do but watch. I let the fish give me a sleigh ride until they're threatening to spool me then I give chase. Patience and luck are good fishing companions.

Have you ever actually tried to eat Jack Cervalle? Its mostly a red bloody flesh (hence its nickname of Canal Tuna as they are common in the florida canals) and taste like shit - some people say its OK when you thin-strip and fry them into "jack nuggets" but even there i could not stomach them. Better to chop for bait and catch a good snapper or somthing and just eat that lol

@@RCichard Well if you would say that a snapping turtle is better than catching a jack, then I will absolutely take your word for it. No I have never eaten one before but it looks like I would love to catch one I have been both coastal fishing and deep-sea and have not gotten lucky enough yet. But thank you very much for the information now I know if I ever catch one not to eat it!

@@RCichard even though snapping turtle has seven different types of meat they still require being purged because they live on the bottom and eat anything that is dead, or that they can catch. It is rather a strong fishy meat.. personally I like to marinate it for about three days in a good Mexican seasoning with lime and salt and then grill it which is fairly decent, or turtle soup is always good

I have caught a couple that size that fought themselves to death. Especially on light gear, by the time they get in they are spent. Only chance you had maybe was to try and revive it before even messing with the hook or filming. And you would have had to escort it around with your boat to get enough water over its gills.
