I wish you would’ve done a review of both machines I feel like a lot more people will grab the 4.0.

Great review Chris.. good all angles breakdown.. all the 3.5 rotaries struggle with the bigger needle groupings, that’s my experience anyway.. irrelevant of brand etc.. you can get there but boy it’s a slow laborious process that often ends up needing sculpting after anyway.. the round shaders seem to cope better strangely on bigger groupings for lining 🤷🏻‍♂️ Carson has kinda found a way round it with the Neuma 4.. apparently.. but I’ve not tried it myself. I still get me old faithful coils out on the bigger liner requirements.. but that’s RARE for me as not my kinda work generally. Anyway.. great review.. thanks 👍🏻

Thanks.. Yeah I’ve found 4mm is always best for me with larger grouping liners. I can’t even remember the last time I used coils haha.

I like the mk2 idea, but i feel its a missed opportunity to call it one of these: spirit 2 with a vengeance, 2 cheyenne 2 spirit, spirit 2 tokyo drift, spirit 2 judgement day. : )

Hello there In need of advice I currently have the packer wand and I find it too hard hitting for how I like to layer my shading work. Ofc needing a lower stroke and would like some give in the machine - being trained as coil artist originally Also looking for a fine liner as well So I’m wondering which would be a better machine - sol Luna or bishop shader? Thank you so much

Great Review! What machines do you prefer in the performance? is it the Flux/exo 2,5 and 4mm or Sol Luna & Sol Terra? I would like to buy the one of these machine combos. Kind regards Michael

Thanks. At the moment my preference generally for machines is the flux, cheyenne sol nova, cheyenne sol luna and the bishop packer. I think they all compliment each other well. I’ve not tried the Terra yet but I can imagine it’s going to perform well. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

Always keep an eye for your latest reviews, have you tried the equalizer v2 pen? I'm looking into going wireless and wondering if it's half the price of its competitors because its half the quality or if its just a bargain

That would be great. I see so many people selling fluxs and cheyennes after no time at all that it makes me wonder about spending 1k+ on one, if the equaliser is anyway decent then it's price tag is more appealing to give wireless pens a go

Do you have a video comparing the FK irons exo 2.5mm stroke to the sol luna for shading? I’m curious what your opinion is but it seems based on your review of each individually that you prefer the exo.

I don’t have a video comparing those machines. Both machines have a 2.5mm stroke, both have a brushless motor and I found you will achieve the same effect when using each machine. I’ve tattooed using both and for me the only thing that stops me from Using the luna more is the balance when attaching a battery. I favour the exo due to the pen shape of the machine and that it’s wireless. If I was using a power supply the Luna would be a better option as it’s a lot lighter.

@@ThatTattooShowChris!!!! Have you tried using a shorty critical battery!??? That’s currently what I run and I love it but I’ve been fighting myself to buy a 4.5mm sol nova since I dropped a lot of dough on the critical shorty pack with the charger/stand. So I’d like to keep my battery’s in my line up and I feel like the Terra isn’t quite strong enough

Chris do you think that Tattoo machines/equipment should fall under the right to repair umbrella like the smartphone and electronics industry? I've noticed that tattoo companies have headed down the Apple syndrome, as cool as Apple are its become a standard that other companies have followed (where its all glued shut) I like knowing whats inside these tech gadgets, as a kid I took cassette players apart all that kind of thing. As much as I don't speak Russian I still watch the youtube channel of Jack and Alexx, these guys take apart and repair tattoo equipment - seems like these are the only guys on KZread that teardown these precious tattoo machines. I would love to teardown tattoo machines but not a grand a pop lol So watching a Russian speaking fella (no idea what he is saying) just to see the guts of these machines is cool. All the best on raising money on the auction. Stay Transparent, Pony Boy ;) cheers

I think it depends on how you look at it. Tatoo equipment is slowly going down the route of being classed as medical devices, Some probably are already classed as that. I’m all for being able to maintain machines yourself, and replace certain aspects, but as for stripping down machines and going balls deep into them. I’m not sure as an industry the majority of us have the ability to “not fuck it up” So right to repair maybe not but the right to be able to maintain your machines yes.
