@The caliph you can call him whatever you want (as it's different in any language), but it's most definitely the same god at least for jews and muslims, christians it really depends on if you worship the "father" which is the same god as both the other two, some christians believe that jesus is god hence the difference, muslims believe in jesus to be a prophet just as Muhammad was, so we actually respect and love him as a PROPHET, i can't speak for jews but from what i've seen they don't really believe in jesus like that.

I am good friend with a Palestinian man I met while in the Air Force. I taught him my fishing skills and we had many conversations about religion and how related we are through the ages. There was no arguing over whichreligion was right, just being brothers and most of all friends

There is a Jewish well respected scholar (I think it was the Rambam himself) in medieval times that said “if a Jew who says a Muslim doesn’t worship the same God as Jews because of politics then he is a person of bad morals.” The Rambam himself said “you are not allowed to enter a church but you are allowed to pray along side Muslims in a mosque if there isn’t a temple near to you”…. Christianity made the Holy Spirit into God since all you need is Jesus and having a messenger to Jesus would contradict Jesus’s divinity. Also the Rambam who you are calling not a real rabbi is called the chief of rabbis by Jews. He is Maimonides, he codified the hachica or Jewish laws we have today which was originally written in Arabic.. he never liked Islam or Christianity but he had a respect for Islam which he didn’t have for Christianity.

In Islam, you can pray almost anywhere as long as it is clean. Your intentions matter more than what/who is around you. You are not praying for a man made object. Even Mecca direction for prayer is symbolic, as in finding your way/path to truth not the boxed place. You re given guidances to find your path both physically and metaphorically (in case you can understand stars, north/east/west etc, just pray as God is everywhere and anywhere you are). So your purpose/intentions matter more than where you are! Also Islam says, love the created because of the creator. It doesnt discriminate against people for the sole purpose of faith! It asks you only to tell the truth you know, not force it. Noone is the judge but God! Also the only Quran is the last and protected untouched message (which according to islam, all the previous messages were of the same origin/content before they were modified/altered). Also only in Quran says in other faiths there are true believers among them (Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5.82-83...) For some reason, some/many Jews think they re chosen ones, and they are special, everyone else are kind of idolatry due to faith differences. Christians similarly think they re different, Jesus (Isa is actually the real name, somehow it has been translated which is not only wrong, but weird) died for their sins. Which is weird/wrong, as why would anyone says or think someone take a punishment for all of humanity? what kind of test is it if everyone's fault is attributed to one person at the end? Islam says everyone will be punished and rewarded accordingly to their deeds/actions, not your mom/dad/prophet/kids/president, but yourself alone! You are required to leave in peace with one another, it does not say in Mecca/Medina only, also it doesnt say only with muslims. it specifically says wherever you go, whoever you live with, you have to lead by example! We are all humans! Creation of God! Whether you believe it or not, whether you live your life accordingly or not, it is up to individuals, just like the punishments/rewards will be handed individually. It is a testing ground, like a school, you are given marks for your own works/answers, not for your friends' intellect, not your parents' or siblings'!

That is very interesting. In the Shema (in Judaism), we say the following: Shema yisroel, Ad-nai eloheinu, Ad-nai echad Which translates to: Hear O Israel, Ad-nai is our G-d, Ad-nai is One. Both religions say G-d is one, which is extremely fascinating - at least to me! The Shema is, arguably, the most meaningful prayer in all of Judaism - and the fact that this is so similar to Islam is, as previously stated, rather fascinating.

Well, I did enter church (for my bff’s wedding ) and some buddha’s temple and also been to few Hindu’s temple that located in my country .What I’m trying to say is well there’s no problem for muslim to enter others religion’s worshipping place but to answer your question: 1- Islam is the religion of easiness. 2- A Muslim is allowed to perform prayer in a church if he is forced to pray there. 3- If a Muslim prays in a church without necessity his prayer is valid but still it is reprehensible or makruh. 4- Whenever the necessity warrants a Muslim to perform prayer in a church, he should obtain the prior permission of the church authorities as Islam respects other people’s places of worship. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said: “I have been given five things that no one has been given before me… (Among them is that) the earth has been made for me as a Mosque and a source of purification. So if any man from my nation realizes that he has to pray, then he may pray.” (Al-Bukhari) It is clear from the aforementioned Prophetic hadith that the whole earth is considered as a mosque for Muslims and a place for performing Salah and prostration. However, it is better for one to stay away from those places (such as a church or a synagogue) out of fear of doubtful matters. If one finds it extremely difficult to find a place to perform prayer except for a church or a synagogue, (personally I never prayed in a church or synagogue bc in my country it’s kind of easy to find mosque or you can prayed elsewhere that clean , even while traveling overseas I’m kind of never face this type of problem ) and he performs salah in them then one’s prayer is valid as the whole earth is for Allah and all of it is considered a mosque (i.e., meaning a place to perform prayer and to prostrate) for all Muslims. It is reported that `Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) refused to pray inside the church and he prayed outside it in order to ward off any false notions that may occur to the minds of ordinary Muslims who may be enticed to pray at the exact place where `Umar performed prayer (i.e., inside the church)

I understand completely of the idea not to go into a church because of the statues and graven images which would be praying in the vicinity of idolatry. I'm not sure what "doubtful matters" mean because there could be doubtful matters within a mosque as well, considering an individual's perception of Allah. I think that it would be more spiritual to pray outside if one doesn't have his/her own religious sanctuaries around. What bothers me is the disrespect found when certain regimes do something sacrilegious in a house of worship. As an example, after the Inquisition, some synagogues and mosques were turned into pig slaughterhouses. Others were turned into churches which defame the concept of prohibiting graven images and symbols.

I'm an agnostic monotheist. I believe in One Creator, and hope to be shown which of the three is right for me some day. All the Muslims I've talked to (Sunni, Shia, even one Ibadhi) have said "Allah accepts that and loves you still, as long as you believe and try your best to be a good person". Muslims are not perfect, no human is perfect, but the extremist Muslims is far from the norm. I hope we solve the conflict between Israel and Palestine. It is sad to see them fight over Jerusalem, it should be a place for all three Abrahamic religions to show worship for the One who created us in his image. Barak Allah Feek.

[As-Saffaat 37:158-159] وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ الْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ ۖ وَخَرَقُوا لَهُ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ Yet, they join the jinn as partners in worship with Allah, though He has created them (the jinn); and they attribute falsely without knowledge sons and daughters to Him. Be He Glorified and Exalted above all that (falsehood) they attribute to Him. بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُ صَاحِبَةٌ ۖ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have children when He has no wife? He created all things and He is the All-Knower of everything. [Al-An'aam 6:100-101]

Yeah sure going to the Vatican where they are like 2k people who are mostly guards and priests is really relevant or they are going to even accept being filmed lol. I'd say italy, Poland and Portugal in Europe will be relevant to go and ask but perhaps go to little towns or ask to 30+ 40+ years people bcs here, most young people aren't christian as before unfortunately. Or in Brussels we have lots of lebanese christians, syriac, aramean, assyrian christians who like some jews never accepted to convert and flood their homes and genocides for centuries. Those i'd say are the most conservative, religious christians and the most ancient ones and the most able to ask correctly

That's pretty common just look at ytb videos from brits there, no one has had any problem. On the other side i've has more problems with religious intolerance from old brits when i visited the uk with my school ;)

@@vjofficial110 actually the Quran abolished a lot of Jewish practices. In Jadaism I believe if a child rebels a gainst his or her parent, their punishment is death. This punishment does not exist in Islam. Also in Judaism, the punishment for adultery is stoning to death, the Quran modified it to whipping..... If you actually read the Quran you will get a better feel for the modification of the original Jewish laws.

O mankind, there has come to you a conclusive proof from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light. So those who believe in Allah and hold fast to Him - He will admit them to mercy from Himself and bounty and guide them to Himself on a straight path. Because they're not. Common people that just believe in god in a cavalier way would say "all roads lead to God" or "we are all God's children". Actual scholars, theologians, historians, apologists, would actually say no of course not. Most people don't care so they just make a sort of feel good politically correct comment.

نحن المسلمين نأمن بأن الله واحد لا يلد ولا يولد ولا يبكي ولا ينام ولم يخلقه احد ولا يموت, وحده من يعلم الغيب خلاصة, ليس مثلنا نحن البشر وكيف اصلا سيكون مثلنا وهو الذي خلقنا...ونأمن بعيسى وموسى ومحمد ونأمن بأن اليهودية هي اول ديانة قبل الإسلام وكل من مات يهودي قبل مجيء الإسلام فهو مسلم وخير مثال يوسف عليه سلام. الإسلام يقر بالتوراة كتابًا من عند الله فيه هدى ونور وأنها حُرِّفت بعد ذلك. ويذكر القرآن عددا من أنبياء ورسل اليهود (بني إسرائيل) آخرهم المسيح عيسى ويعتبر الإيمان بهم من ضمن عقيدة المسلم. والقرآن يميز بين اليهود الذين آمنوا برسل الله ورسالاته وهم في الإسلام الفرقة الناجية وبين اليهود الذين كفروا بالله وكذبوا رسله وهم حسب رأي بعض علماء المسلمين هم المقصودين في سورة الفاتحة بـ(المغضوب عليهم).. وفي الاخير سواءا كنا مسلمين او يهود او مسيحين يجب فعل الخير في الدنيا وعدم الفساد فيها.. وان نساعد الناس ونعيش بسلام ولطف واحترام بعضنا ❤️. اما الأشياء المحرمة في الإسلام.. : القتل السرقة الكذب الخيانة التجسس الربا النميمة الغيبة الاستهزاء بناس الظلم التكبر الوشم علاقة البنت و الولد قبل زواج اكل الخنزير، والحيوانات اللاحمة، وجثث الحيوانات ، لكن ان وصل الإنسان للمجاعة فلا حرج عليه. شرب الخمر واي شيء يذهب العقل ويترك الإنسان بلا عقل. الانتحار لان الروح ثمينة ولا يجب أن تنتحر بسبب مشكلة او فراغ او عقدة نفسية, فقط الجأ إلى الله وستكون بخير. الامر الاخر المحرم هو رقص المرأة امام الرجال يجب فقط أن ترقص امام زوجها وأمام البنات. محرم على الزوج ان يضرب زوجته او ان يعاملها بسوء. محرم كذلك الشتم والعنصرية لان نأمن بأن لا فضل لعربي على أعجمي، ولا لأبيض على أسود، ولا لأسود على أبيض إلا بالتقوى " محرم على المسلمة ان تتزوج بشخص غير مسلم، اما الرجل حلال عليه المسلمة ولمسيحية واليهودية هذا ليس ظلم للمرأة بل لان الرجل هو المسؤول على الأسرة من الدرجة الأولى ونعلم كذلك ان الأطفال يقتدون دائما بأبيهم. محرم علينا في الحروب قتل النساء والأطفال وشيوخ. والان سأحدثكم يا رفاق عن الأمور الضرورية فعلها بكونك مسلم : هي الصلاة والصوم. الصلاة: يجب القيام ب 5 صلوات كل يوم وقبل ان تصلي يجب أن تتوضأ يعني ان تطهر نفسك ان تنظف المنطقة الحساسة وان تغسل يداك وفمك وانفك ووجهك ومرافقك وان تمسح شعرك واذنيك بلماء اكيد وان تغسل رجليك ثم ترتدي لباس طاهر نقي لا يحتوي على اي شيء نجس او اي قطرة دم. الرجال يجب تغطية عورتهم من السرة حتى الركبة اما نساء يجب أن يقمن بتغطية جسمهم بالكامل ما عدا الوجه واليدين. في فترة الدورة الشهرية النساء لا تؤذي الصلاة يمكنها الدعاء وتكلم مع الله اكيد لاكن لا يجب عليها ان تصلي الصلوات الخمس وكذلك لا تصوم رمضان لان هذه رحمة من عند الله لان النساء تحتاج لطعام والماء في الدورة الشهرية لذلك لا يجب أن تصوم لكن بعد شهر رمضان يجب أن تسترجع الايام التي لم تصمها في رمضان وهي خالية من الدورة الشهرية اكيد. لان الصوم مفيد، مفيد للجسم وكذلك نحس بلفقراء ونحس بنعمة التي أعطاها لنا الله. ويجب على الزوج ان يعامل زوجته في فترتها برفق ولطف وحنان 🤭 وكذلك الاب مع ابنته والأخ مع اخته يجب عدم ازعاجها في هذه الفترة لان الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم أوصى بتعامل مع نساء بحسن ولطف. كما أن في الإسلام الرجل هو الذي ينفق على المرأة وواجب عليه ان ينفق عليها. وليس من الواجب ان تقوم المرأة بالأعمال المنزلية ولكن لها الاجر والحسنات ان ساعدت زوجها❤️. وقبل ان يتزوج المسلم يجب أن يعطي المرأة المهر وهو عبارة عن مال او اي شيء له قيمة يجعل الفتاة سعيدة...لا حرج ان طلبت المرأة لرجل المال الذي تريده لكن ان طلبت أقل مهر لديها اجر من عند الله على ذلك خصوصا ان كان الرجل فقير ولتمست له العذر ❤️. الإسلام دين جميل ورائع هناك الكثير من الأشياء الجميلة فيه :مثال نحن نأمن حتى وان كنت تمشي وانضرب اصبعك صغير مع شيء وتألمت فإن لك الأجر على ذلك ان شاء الله. لذلك ترى المسلمون في أصعب اوقاتهم يصبرون و يحمدون الله لأنهم يعلمون ان أجرهم سيكون عظيما لان الله بكل بساطة رحيم ولا ينسى عبدا تألم في هذه الحياة.

In Hebrew, one of the words for God is Elohim, אֱלֹהִים, which is plural. The singular is Eloah, אֱלוֹהַּ⁠‎. The Aramaic term for this singluar form of God is Elaha, אֱלָהָא. The Syraic word is Alaha, ܐܠܗܐ. And, of course, the Arabic word is Allah, الٱِلٰه. It is literally the same God in terms of linguistics. I really enjoyed hearing various people's explanations of why different groups did or did not believe in the same God. However, my only issue is that I don't think some people understood the question properly. I think several people answered the question as to if there is only one God, and of course all three groups will answer "yes" to that. The best answers were people who understood the intricacies of why the different groups are even different groups to begin with. Morshad, the young man at 7:07, especially knows his stuff. I was very impressed with his answer.

@@NotLikeWhatYouThink You seem to think I am talking about religious doctrine. I am not. I am talking about the linguistics of the word "Elohim" and the word "Allah." Not the character or divine being, but the word itself. The word "Elohim" is plural; this is why the same word is used in many other parts of the Bible to describe a group of gods (usually Canaanite) that are not God. The singular form of the word "Elohim" is "Eloah," which is linguistically related to the word "Allah." If you don't understand what linguistics are then go look it up. :)

"Elohim" can be used as a singular for God and as a plural for gods. Here is proof, Joshua 24:23: עַתָּ֕ה הָסִ֛ירוּ אֶת־אֱלֹהֵ֥י הַנֵּכָ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם וְהַטּוּ֙ אֶת־לְבַבְכֶ֔ם אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ There is אֱלֹהֵ֥י being used for God and the gods in the same sentence.

What I understand from long time ago that it is the same God however each religion has its own understanding. Christian with 1 God in 3 Persons, Islam with its absolute one universal God and Jews with One of God but a bit racist God I suppose bcz Jew believe He sent prophet only from House of Israel.

Absolutely amazing we all believe in the same God but can’t stand each other, may Allah give us understanding and wisdom to get along with all.

I read somewhere that Allah comes form the word Al-ilah (meaning The God). In Hebrew and Aramaic it is Elah & Alah respectively, (E & A instead of I in Arabic). Also in in Arabic adding an "AL" before a word is the same as adding a "ha" after a word in Hebrew and Aramaic. So Al - ilah and Elah -ha both means the same thing, "The god".

The Arabic word "Ilah" means a god or a deity. Its plural is "Aalihah" (gods). *The word "Allah" doesn't have a plural form in Arabic!* _Ponder on that._ And Yes, Christian Arabs say "Allah" and read it from their Arabic Bible! (I am not responsible for any minds blown) Moreover, in Aramaic, the Language of the Christ (pbuh), "god" is "Elah", and "God" is "AaLaH", which sounds almost exactly the same as the Arabic "Allah". *This means even the son of Marry and his people were calling God "AalaH" !* (OK at this point I might be a little responsible) The Words "god "and "God", "dieu" and "Dieu", "dios" and "Dios" all SOUND the same. The speaker could be referring to any of the deities worshipped by men like Jesus, Budha or even a Cow.. I thought about this question a lot, and went back-and-forth on my answer. If I had to only choose one answer, it would be that Christians, Muslims, and Jews do not worship the same God. Christians do worship the same God from the Old Testament from the Torah, however when they deny the deity of Jesus Christ, then they no longer worship God. Muslims also don’t believe that Jesus was God, only a prophet sent by God. Therefore, as a Christian, if you asked me, I would say we do not worship the same God.

Correct. The Rabbis explain that Jews worship the same God as Muslims but not the same God as Christians. Neither believes in a human form of God that is divisible.

And yet we all fight each other. We’re all brothers and related! Respect each other and ways of worship. We all have our interpretations as to how we go about praying to our God (same God) for everyone.

@Shalom Shalom You are full of crap. "Muslim" is an Arabic word not a Hebrew word. "Meshullam" is a Hebrew name NOT a reference to Muslims or Jews or believers of any kind. King James doesn't translate "Muslim" because the word "Muslim" isn't in the Bible at all.

@Shalom Shalom The Bible is clear. All the prophets and Apostles were Hebrews and Israelites. The prophets pointed to Jesus as God with us. Emmanuel. Jesus was, is and always will be God. No prophet in the Bible ever mentioned Muhammad, muslims or Islam. 27% of the Bible is prophecy. Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophecies and made Himself equal to God. Which is why His fellow Jewish leaders disagreed and crucified Him. Even after He performed countless miracles including raising Lazarus from the dead. He Himself arose after being crucified being witnessed by Romans and thousands of Jews.

@@DanangGuntoro6508 god swear by himself in Quran 4:65, 15:92, 19:68, 51:23 ... But the sheikh’s view was about why would god swear by his creation, and it’s to show us and remind us of the greatness of His creation and that it’s creator is greater, and this does not detract from anything.

I don't know how to express this but I feel like people are sometimes answering a different question then your asking. Sometimes it feels like there saying there is one god and that god is the god of Muslims, Christians and Jews rather then we all worship god the same god. Its a strange and very slight difference between both questions and I think some people are answer the former rather then the later.

Very Intresting I enjoyed 👍🏻

WHAT IS HE MEANING OF LIFE? To have a relationship with God on earth so you can spend eternity together in Heaven. So, what pushes me away from God? Sin (lying, unforgiveness, sexual sins from lust, dishonouring parents, steeling, taking the Lord’s Name in vain etc) which leads to hell. But Jesus died on the Cross and rose from the dead to give you the ability to repent and Believe in Him as your Lord and Saviour to go to Heaven. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A common idea among the Jews and Muslims according to this video is that Christians believe Jesus IS god but it is really that Jesus is not god, but god sent down in a physical form to preach the ideas he needed to, at least in my opinion and understandings.

Sadly, the phrases "make none his compeer" and "none of us take any others as lord apart from God" have come to be interpreted by Muslims as the theological incompatability of Christian phrases such as the "Son of God" and "Jesus as Lord." not understanding that the beliefs behind these phrases in no way disturb the essential Unity of God.

Jews and Muslims both define God the same way. When a Jew or Muslim say the word "God", it means the exact same thing. SubhanAllah. they don't think of God in the exact same way you do, that's wrong assumption, yea there are many similarities but there are differences as well.

My parents grew up in middle east as muslims but they moved after the war so, I grew up in the church and thought that was the whole religion just going to church every Sunday and eventually stopped going and started to do my own thing. But I wanted to find the purpose of life because I knew everything we worked for would pass away. So I started to look into all the religions to see if christianity was even really the ultimate truth. Later on opened up the Bible and saw the Jesus people talked about was completely different from what was in the Bible. I started to draw closer to the higher power and had a supernatural encounter with him and I felt the most love and peace and was truly indescribable and out of this world, and nothing i've ever felt from then on and never will tbf will come close to that experience, but I was shocked because I wasn't expecting this encounter, so I went up to my balcony and everything looked brand new like it was the first time seeing the nature when I looked outside. Almost like a new born and it was like it was so detailed . Every time I used to go outside it looked so boring and mundane and natural but this time that all changed, and I’m here to tell you it’s about a relationship not religion and he is real and did die on the cross for you willingly and thinks you as the only person and was thinking of you while dying.

Its only in the west people fight over other peoples religious beliefs. Jews ,Christians and muslims have lived together in the past with no issues and they still do to this day in many arabic nations. Israel is something else now (its not a fight for religion, its a fight for land and geopolitical agend of some rich folks).

I think there might have been some miscommunication going on. I know it is difficult on the street but I think the clearest way to phrase the question would be something like: "When a) Jews refer to their God (in any language) b) Christians refer to their God (in any language) c) Muslims refer to their God (in any language) Do a, b, and c refer to the same thing?"

Correction If you want the literal translation of God in Arabic, it is 'ilãh'

It’s NOT the same god. The lord loves all of his creations despite the lives they live but Allah does not.

yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him.

This made me cry - thank you. I grew up, and my ancestors were from, an Aramaic church, one of the oldest churches in the world. As I understand it, This church went on foot with only donkeys to China to bring Christianity 1500 years ago. In that church, it certainly felt that all humanity was one.
