An interesting fact: In Judaism, we're not allowed to walk in front of another Jew who is praying the Amidah (a certain prayer in which we stand in one place, with G-d in front of us). And because Muslims pray to the same G-d, we're also not allowed to walk in front of a Muslim who is praying.

His primary campaign was against his own tribe in Mecca, the Quraysh. That's why we Christian used to say, come to truth. Jesus Christ is the truth. Muhammad is a pagan false prophet.

The sheer disconnect between how Christians view themselves in relationship to Jews (as friends and allies), versus how Jews view them (as pagan & idolatrous deviants who plagiarize their tradition), is simply mind-boggling and almost comical. Of course, as a Muslim I side more with the Jews in regards to God being only one, and the Messiah being only a human servant. Theologically we agree there. But the Qur’an actually mentions this divide between the Jews & Christians in one passage: *_”The Jews have said, "The Christians have nothing to stand on!” while the Christians have said, "The Jews have nothing to stand on!” Yet they both read the same Scripture. Similarly, those who don’t know any better have said the same thing. God will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding their differences & disagreements.”_*_ _(The Qur’an, 2:113)_ But Peace/Shalom be to all the sincere Jews and Christians out there. We are all still children of Abraham, and God will settle our differences on the Last Day. But for now, let us co-exist and serve God to the best of our ability, and do our part to bring peace to the world!

You generalizing that Christians see Jews as "allies and friends" is a bit of an exaggerated perspective. Mainstream Christians in Europe, the Commonwealth and Latin America (mainly Catholics, Orthodox and historic Protestants) do not usually see it this way. While this new perception is a recent construction, the result of a re-reading of the New Testament in the light of post-World War II events. And such a posture only has strength even in the evangelical Protestant milieu (Pentecostals, neo-Pentecostals and Baptists). In any case, for obvious reasons, Jews and Judaism pose far less danger to Christians and Christianity than the Islamic world with its anti-Enlightenment values and obscurantism thirsting for monotheistic hegemony. Therefore, even the most anti-Semitic Christians and supporters of conspiracy theories about Jews still prefer a thousand times to have a Jewish neighbor than a Muslim for reasons of utilitarian bias. It is enough to see that Christians in Israel suffer far less hostility (even if it exists) than in 95% of Islamic countries. Furthermore, the Jews do not want everyone to be a Jew and do not force anyone to do so, the same is not true in the Islamic world. So as a Christian, I also prefer Jews, even the most ultra-orthodox and blasphemous about the Lord Jesus, than a neighbor who says "peace be upon Him" when talking about Jesus while he can denounce me for apostasy, causing that I may be arrested or face worse things. And the vast majority of evangelicals who see "Jews as friends and allies" only do so because of the influence of the gospel media and because they are almost completely unaware of what Rabbinic Judaism teaches about Jesus, Mary and the New Testament. Many had no contact with real Jews, they had throughout their lives, or when they had, it was merely superficial. I'm not saying that they become anti-Semitic when they find out about these things or that they should become anti-Semitic but as they gradually come into contact with religious Jews, the same for the most part, they tend to become far less enthusiastic about Israel, keeping support in the geopolitical field just for the utilitarian question of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and moral debt in the face of the tragedy of the Holocaust and two thousand years of anti-Semitism.

We do not view Jews as friends and allies, at least not more or less than anyone else. Jews have never liked us, which we are well aware of. They had Jesus executed, my man. If we were still the minority, they would still treat us like garbage. But we are the overwhelming majority. It is our rabbi who dominates the world. Theirs are just bitter losers. The disagreement between Talmudic rabbinical Jews and Christians is ultimately an in-house dispute between different Jewish sects regarding the identity of the Messiah. A whole lot of gentiles were grafted into Israel through Christianity, but in the final analysis it's all Israel. Islam is a fully gentile Ishmaelite sect, which the New Testament defines in the strictest terms as antichrist.

@@sechrima9998 You’re acting as if you can speak for the entire world of Christendom, which I’m afraid you can’t. What you’ve said is merely your own opinion-one view among many. As for other Christians, many of them love the Jewish people and see themselves as wholehearted mutual allies. Do you have any idea how much money is donated to Israel & Jewish organizations by Evangelical Christians every single year in just the US? It is mind-boggling. So to say “we do not view Jews as friends and allies” is a travesty, my friend. Christians don’t even agree on religious fundamentals such as who Jesus is (a man? a god? The Father? an Angel?) or how many books the Bible has, let alone a complex culturally-nuanced topic such as Jewish-Christian relations. And as for the “Jews killed Jesus” claim-you are 100% right, which is Christian history has held a notorious anti-semitic reputation, as noted by many scholars such as Dr. Elaine Pagels of Princeton University, who even points out that the New Testament itself rarely ever condemns the Romans for killing Christ, but often puts the blame primarily on the Jews-which even led Christian theologians to accuse the Jews of “deicide” _(“the murder of God”)._ This is what makes the deep love of Jews by many Christians even all the more ironic. Finally, you can say that Islam is “anti-Christ” all you want, but once again that would make the Jewish faith 10x as “anti-Christ,” since they reject Jesus as Messiah-while we as Muslims don’t. We accept him as the Messiah. In fact, in your own scriptures-such as 1 John 4:3-it explicitly states that those who confess that Christ (the Messiah) has come in the flesh, is “of God” and NOT “anti-Christ.” And among all the major religions, Islam is the only other Abrahamic faith aside from Christianity which accepts Jesus as the true Messiah (and even makes it a tenet of faith), and does not reject him as a fraud or black magician (as orthodox Jews do!); and furthermore we also greatly honor & respect his blessed mother, the Virgin Mary, as opposed to the Jews who accuse her of being an adulterous & unchaste harlot (God forbid!). Yet look at you-even here right now you are still more quick to call Islam “anti-Christ” than Judaism itself, which boasts of literally killing your god. This is what I’m talking about. The cognitive dissonance of modern Christians is truly astonishing.

  • @celestialknight2339

    @celestialknight2339

@@sechrima9998 Also, the truth is-the main reason Christians are so opposed to Islam is because they see us as an “INTERNAL threat” due to our shared beliefs about God & Jesus, rather than an “external threat” like Buddhism or Hinduism, which have a completely different framework altogether. This is even why many early Christians used to identify Islam as a “faction” of Christianity (almost as it seems you are doing now by calling it an “Ishmaelite sect”). But in fact, the real reason we have so many commonalities between us is not because Islam borrowed or plagiarized anything; but rather, because our teachings come from a common SOURCE-God, the All-Powerful & All-Knowing Creator. And He is the One who has revealed scripture & prophethood to the Gentile world through ‘Islam’ (which means ‘sincere surrender to God’), and corrects the mistakes and errors made by the scriptural religions before us (such as Christians and Jews) by restoring the original true way of life of all the prophets & messengers, including Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus-which was complete submission & devotion to God’s will, and humble obedience & repentance to Him as the path to salvation. This has always been the message of God throughout the ages-“worship the Creator, and do good to the Creation”-and Islam _(‘full devotion & surrender to God’)_ simply came to restore that simple & pristine message, and remind humanity of their purpose and ultimate destination. That is because God’s Grace has no limit-and just as He once bestowed revelation to you, despite the protest & mockery of the Jews around you, so too has He now bestowed grace through divine guidance & revelation to us as believers, no matter how much others may protest or dislike it. And we praise & thank God for eternity to come for that guidance He has given us, and we worship Him today and for all days to come. And on the Day of Resurrection, He will judge between us regarding all of our differences. So for us, it is simple & clear: There is only one worthy of worship-God, the Ultimate & Absolute; who neither begets nor was begotten; and who has no co-equal. And finally, I find it my duty to humbly share with you the message that God Almighty Himself has revealed to you. So please take heed, because your Lord speaks to you directly and says: *”O followers of the Bible! Do not exceed the bounds in your religion, nor say anything about God except the truth! The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, is only God’s messenger, and His Word which He cast into Mary, and a spirit from Him! So believe in God and His messengers, and do not speak of a trinity. Stop-it is for your own good. God exists as only one sole divinity; and He is far above having a son! He owns everything in the heavens and everything on earth; and God suffices to manage it all on His own!”* _(The Qur’an, Sūrah Al-Nisā, 171)_

@@celestialknight2339 There is no cognitive dissonance. The rabbinical Jews are of course antichrist in that they deny and often hate the Messiah, but the Bible promises a remnant of Israel will be redeemed in the last days. “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” Matthew 20:16 For now, however, their hearts have been hardened. "I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in." Romans 11:25 Christians wait and long for the return of Christ when the Jews will bend the knee and confess their faith in Him - that is their ultimate destiny, and the reason we view them favourably to some extent, despite all of their obstinance. As for evangelical support for Israel, it is all only for the sake of the fulfilment of Biblical end times prophecies. For the Lord to return, Israel first needed to be resurrected. "For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land." Ezekiel 36:24 For Israel to be resurrected, the Ottoman Caliphate first needed to be vanquished by Christian arms. For Jesus to return, Israel must now be sustained and defended by Christian arms until the final Antichrist is revealed. Our support for Israel is not for the sake of unrepentant Jews, but only for the fulfilment of the promises of God. If we were not approaching the last days, the Jews would not necessarily receive such beneficent generosity from Christians. Perhaps we would be a terror unto them, a punishment from the Lord for their grave sins against Him. The Lord moves us for or against Israel according to His purposes. Deuteronomy 11:29 says, "When the Lord your God has brought you into the land you are entering to possess, you are to proclaim on Mount Gerizim the blessings, and on Mount Ebal the curses." If Israel kept its covenant with God, they would be blessed above all nations. If they broke their covenant, they would be cursed above all. Recently, archaeologists discovered an ancient curse tablet on Mt. Ebal, its inscription reading, "Cursed, cursed, cursed - cursed by the God Yahweh". They who rejected and murdered Jesus Christ have been under divine wrath for two thousand years, culminating in the Holocaust. But now the time of Israel's restoration has come, and soon our Lord will return, and the Jews will mourn for the one they pierced once they behold Him coming on the clouds. All Christians agree on the nature of the triune God. If they do not, then they are heretics, not Christians. And to Hell with them if they will not repent. I do not say Islam is antichrist, the Bible does. "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you." 1 John 2:22-26 Pay special attention to "He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." Your Qur'an explicitly denies the Father and the Son. You have been seduced by the devil, the father of lies. It matters nothing that you pay lip service to Jesus as a prophet and "Masih" because you have no concept of who and what the Messiah is supposed to be. Islam will bring forth the Antichrist and the False Prophet that were prophesied in the Book of Revelation - Al-Mahdi and Isa. Of that I have no doubt.

We and the Jewish have the same book, namely the "Tanakh". We have different interpretation. Such as when Jesus debated with the Jewish rabbis in Mark 12:35 -37 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David ? 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared: "'The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet 37 David himself calls him ‘Lord.’ How then can he be his son?” Christianity does not deify or worship humans. But worship what is "in" Jesus. Trinity means that there are not three Gods. The Trinity is "God's way" of working , as in Isaiah 43:10-11 then it becomes Isaiah 48:16. As in Isaiah 9:6 . Why is it written in Isaiah 43:10.... My servant.. Then... before ME....after ME...? Isaiah 43:10: "You are My witnesses," says the Lord, "and My servant whom I have chosen," so that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He; before me no god was formed and after me there will be no god. Isaiah 9:5 For a child was born to us, a son was given to us, and the power rests on his shoulders, and the wonderful counselor, mighty God, eternal Father, calls his name, "prince of peace." Even in John 14:8-9 8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” 9 Jesus answered: “Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? The Trinity is like: yourself at home, yourself at work/office, then your KZread account. If your KZread account is "turned off (Died)" then are you die too? No, right? When your children and wife ask you for money, need the money. Do they talk to your KZread account? No, right? The three persons above are three different personalities. But the nature of the three persons is one. One Essence. Yourself... Maybe that's "the simplest example" that maybe you guys can understand. Gbu...

A lot of people don’t know that we cannot even enter a church. If somebody I know that is a Christian is married or dies, and it involves a church, I cannot enter. I will go and stand outside to show solidarity on both occasions, but I cannot enter, because it is a place of idle worship. The only exception to this rule is going into a place that is no longer used as a church. For instance, a historical cathedral. It’s technically a church, but they no longer hold services there. If it is a cathedral where they do hold services on occasion, I cannot enter there. A Mosque is different because they worship one god. Christians worship Jesus as God, which, in our eyes is worshiping a man as God. So it’s considered idle worship. Great question.

I grew up Catholic in an Italian family and that's all I've ever seen in Churches, but as I learned about other groups within Christianity, I found out it wasn't normal for everyone else lol. Also, I'm not sure it's only about the representation as much as the belief in the trinity itself. As a Muslim of 13 years, I learned that the Trinity was not always a majority belief within Christianity and that's why we still eat the food that's been hand slaughtered the same way we do, by a Christian. We were originally meant to believe in the same God, if we exclude the trinity, so we consider Christians and Jews as "People of the book" aka the Bible/Torah.

They answered, " Some say you are John the Baptist, others say you are the prophet Elijah and others say you are the prophet Jeremiah and others say you are some other prophet ". Wow. That was interesting. As a Protestant Christian I've been a longtime supporter of Israel as a country and felt connected to things within Judaism (No Judaism = no Christianity). As a guest I've also visitied 2 of the 3 only synagogues here in Sweden. Not coming there for "converting" or praying, visiting more to understand and for Judaism in itself. But this is like someone mocking you behind your back; "you're an idol worshipper!". Support our country, but we don't really like you - sort of thing. Maybe it's an Israeli thing? A Jewish woman I met at the synagogue in Sweden had a conversation with me afterwards. She was like: "bottom line is; we don't think the Messiah has come yet - but you do. We can still be friends, despite of that.". She made the most wonderful Maroccan pastries. My co-worker was a very cool sufi-muslim from Pakistan. He also had a chill view about Church and Mosques. We both worked at a Christian school and often times there were some activitities held at a nearby church. He was- there during "Christian activities" but of course didn't participate in religious things. I also went as a guest to a Mosque nearby, also, to understand islam first hand a little better (not only relying on the news). There was a quite welcoming attitude there as I remember and wonderful tea. Although I don't use or cherish icons, rosaries or statues that my Christian brothers and sisters of orthodox, coptic and catholic branches; I understand that they are not actually worshipping them. The hot potatoe for Jews seems to be Jesus. That becomes the divider. It's nothing personal, just the Jewish Law. I can live with that... it feels a bit harsh, that's all. Us and them.

Its not personal I don’t think. It’s just the statues thing. We Muslims also have a similar guideline in Islamic law. The only difference is that we are able to pray in other places like churches etc. but only if there are no status or images. And even if there are, there is a difference of opinion between Islamic scholars. Some rule that it’s prohibited but most rule that it’s makrooh (hated) , meaning you won’t get a sin for doing so but you’ll get good deeds for leaving it off. As long as there are no statues, even if you worship a different god we are able to pray. With the Jews, it seems that even if there are no statues, if the place is used to worship someone else, they are still prohibited from praying there

It's quite amazing how much in common people have, I read a book and saw two common themes greed and sharing, and one became powerful over the other, and at that point they completed the test. But it took someone with wisdom to explain the psychological aspect of the story for it to be understood. This video reminded me of that book.

I’m a orthodox Sephardic Jew who lives amongst an affluent community . About 8 years ago while in Shul on Yom Kippur suddenly a black man in a suit casually walked in & sat down. It’s fair to say that in the Shul’s 40 year history this never happened. It’s a town where everyone knows everyone. Anyway, after about 10 min. I see the rabbi leaving the pulpit along side an influential member making a B line to the man. It appears as if they asked to speak to him outside. He gently agreed and off they went. Now I’m extremely close with the rabbi and was raised in a eclectic environment, I didn’t have the sheltered lifestyle most in the Shul had so my empathy lead me out of my sit and out the door to see what was up. (Leaving my 10 year old son in his seat) when I got outside I saw a small crowd & the rabbi (very uncomfortable) & this other gentleman asking him questions as to why he was there. (Please keep in mind at this time multiple synagogues were randomly attacked both here & abroad.) anyway… at some point the police were notified. I felt awful for the guy cause it seemed like he was only there to pray. I told the rabbi to return to the Shul & that me & this other man would handle it with the police when they got there. We then took the guy into a office where police arrived. The rich guy tells him he’s sorry but with all that’s going on in the world he is uncomfortable w him there and that he demanded the police pat him down for weapons or bombs. Again the man complied and the officer went on to do so. After he was clean the other guy bolted back to pray & lost interest. Me I felt differently. After the cop and man left and I was left alone w the guy in the office I began to sob. I felt awful to see us treat another human this way. But I also understood both sides view. I hugged him & apologized for what transpired. I also then insisted he come back to the Shul and pray and that id be proud if he sat w me and my son. I wanted my son to learn a powerful message as well. & a lot of the people in my section were pretty cool about it & there was also many stares and uncomfortableness. His name was Daniel & I haven’t seen him since. I wish him well.

I don't see why you felt so awful. The man was a potential security threat, and it sounds like he was treated well. Yom Kippur is also not a day for random visitors - someone who wishes to visit a synagogue would be advised to do so on virtually any day other than Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, when the atmosphere is at its most serious and focused. It's not an appropriate time to stop in.

When it's time to receive communion go to the aisle take a knee and cross yourself and say a prayer. Then go to the altar rail and kneel on it and pray. When the priest comes with the host just cross your arms over your chest and receive a blessing. Or if you feel like it outstretch your hands and receive the body of Christ and the cup of salvation. You know the legend of the holy grail ? It's true, you drink from the special cup you're given life eternal. Go practice being a Christian in secret, you will not burn in hell for it.

As Rabbi Singer has pointed out, a Jew can enter and prayer in a mosque because Islam teaches monotheism. However, most Christians believe Jesus was divine and that the Higher power consists of Three persons. Most Christian churches contain idols of Mary, Jesus and saints, and Christians pray to such idols. I am a Jew and have been in Christian churches. To me it is like a trip to a museum containing statues of false pagan dieties such as Jupiter, Apollo, Venus and Krishna. If I don't believe these idols are divine, or pray to them, how is it different than watching fictional characters such as Snow White in a Disney movie? Idolatry is a state of mind: It is belief in the idols, not the existence of the statues or icons. 🕎

Christians do not ever pray to idols! This is a mellenia old defamation. Statues and pictures put the believer in a better state of mind and heart to pray to the One and Only God. Jesus, the first century Nazarene of the root of Jesse and the house of David, was fully human in every way except sin; but God chose in Love to join Himself with him. This is impossible for man but not God. Christians have become a 'scandal' to the world because of the wilful limits of the human heart who refuse to accept that God can and did do this.

The statues of the saints are not idols. They are representations of human beings who've succeeded in attaining heaven. No Christian prays to them (neither the statue/picture nor the historical person so represented), thinking them in any way divine. We do, however, have the ability to ask the saints in heaven to intercede for us before God. Because we are sentient, the representations remind us of them and hopefully encourage us to ask them for their help.

The Loving historical God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, his twelve sons and the Prophets performed what only God can do. In Love and to redeem humans from sin, He joined humanity in the man Jesus, thereby fulfilling history. Many Jews contemporary with Jesus and after accepted this truth. It finished only in 1821. Half of what was confiscated was given to the kings, Spanish, Portuguese and French, and half was given to the Popes throughout the centuries. All those 'marvelous' ancient churches were built with stolen money and slave labor. Unfortunately, people know very little about the Christian Inquisition and what Christians did.

When I was a child, my father took us to a catholic church (in Istanbul) for watching Christmas Ceremony. we did not sit in the banks, we knew that they were for Christians. and the ceremony began and the priest prays in Turkish. My father said "Amin"s (same as "Amen") to the priests prayers. My mother admonishes my father: - why are you saying "Amin" to the priest's prayers !, He's from different religion My father replied: -The priest prayers are good for Islam, too. A Muslim can say "Amin" to all good prayers (which can be ok for Islam). That's all.

As a muslim, what comes out of this clip is that we are strictly monotheistic in our belief and we view any polytheistic idea, action or thought with perturbation. Judaism and Islam are the only two monotheistic religions in the world.

Your last statement is a grave falsehood. Christians believe that there is but One God. The Trinitarian Personhood in no way undermines or contradicts that Essential and Perfect Unity. God's Union with the man Jesus, impossible for humans to understand, is a fact in history and the greatest manifestation of God's Omnipotence.

There are more similarities between Judaism and Islam then most people realize. Actually it’s funny to me that Christians and Jews associate with each other more, because Islam is much more similar to Judaism. For example, the strict monotheism, zakat, rules regarding food, gender segregation, covering the head, greeting of Salam/Shalom, etc. Even Muslims fast on Ashura to honor Moses’ victory and are allowed to eat Kosher meat because the rulings are like that of halal. Jews are considered People of the Book because The Quran say the Torah is a true revelation from God.

My dad was Polish and he and a large number of Jews were forced by the Nazi's into the town square. There was silence for like 20 minutes and then out of nowhere there was machine gun fire and many people were dying. The crowed panicked and my dad was basically pushed through the doors of a church by Jews seeking protection. According to my dad there was screams of Shma Yisrael, throughout the church. Nobody cared about any Halacha preventing one from entering a church. By the way, one day we will all enter shamaim and realize that 99% of what we thought about God was wrong. I get it. there is one God, but there are billions of people trying to reach him in any way they can find. I applaud their efforts and would certainly walk through their places of worship.

I think yes but prayer would only be allowed if there are no images of people including Jesus. If there is an image of Jesus and you pray to him it would be considered idolatry and probably even entering the church would be forbidden. Personally I've been in all kinds of churches and mosques and none of it bothers me, doesn't mean that I believe in what's taught, just that I'm a tourist, observing.
