Also, I love how you said to leave guesses in the comments, when there's only one logical answer, based off of the reasonable assumption that you were not including this game/video, and off of the fact that, if I remember correctly, you indicated that you disliked Sonic Boom Rise Of Lyric, leaving only Shadow The Hedgehog as an option. @@Merilirem hope you both learn one day that a challenge video is more than just a yes or no at the end of the day and manage to actually appreciate the journey nontheless. As it stands, weird fucking move to discard it. And then also announce it.

I like how the hardest part of this run was also the hardest part of real life; socialising... so much to the point where the goal wasn't to talk with people, it was to find a way to get the desired result whilst minimising the time spent actually talking... damn, this is scarily accurate to real life.

And now I'm realizing that a less stressful way to get Crest of the King to activate is to go out of your way to unlock the bad titles as soon as possible then you can cover them up with good titles. Like buying area rugs to cover a spot on a carpet.

My thought process: "without the nunchuck? The _nunchuck?_ This medieval spinoff game about a spinning blue furry who gets isekai'd into King Arthur's Court not only featured a nunchuck weapon, something commonly associated with martial arts, but _featured it SO prominently that trying to beat the game without it represents so much of a challenge that-_ ...the Wii nunchuck. *The Wii nunchuck.*

That journey to find a way to give those damn townspeople your money was legendary. Easily the highlight of the run, and while it is tragic that you were later thwarted very anticlimactically, I still loved it the whole way through.

That Wii is a trooper and so are you for managing to deal with the titles causing a reset

It is totally cool to "fail" a challenge. You still overcame roadblocks and managed to have fun with it. It's very interesting to see how you can interact with a game in a non intended way. Awesome content and will be looking forward to more if you have any ideas.

@@Dr.PaiPai Not in this video but there's a series of videos by Game Grumps playing SatBK, around the last 5 or so videos is just Arin being shit at the game, his attitude progressively getting worse as time goes on They never finished the game, massive skill issue

This is far more possible than expected, even with that one impasse.

Challenge runs are about the journey. If it's literally imposible to finish the game under the rules, then the challenge becomes to only break those rules when strictly necessary. You did an amazing work man

Oh yeah, I have one random suggestion. I personally think that it would be really funny if, when you come across something surprising in a challenge, you insert that voice clip from Egg Viper in SADX where Eggman goes "I can't believe this." I'm honestly amazed that no one does that.

Hot damn, that was definitely a rougher challenge than I was expecting it to be. Congratulations on persevering! This game gets a lot of flak, but it's not nearly as bad as people say it is.

I think that this has to be your most painful challenge yet. I let out an audible "Oh no" when you had to start a new save file, I can't imagine the mental pain that caused. Looking forward to your next challenge, but make sure you don't have to start a new save file in the middle of it. P.S. Fun Fact: Molten Mine's track is a reprise of an old PS1 game's soundtrack called "Black Dawn"

I'm impressed by how far you got without the Nunchuck... As usual in these challenges, you can get a lot further than I would ever expect. Kinda rough that it got blocked so close to the end though. Also... 16:46 Interesting. I never realised that THAT is what blocks the King's Crest. It sometimes randomly stopped working, but never figured out why. That said, you didn't need to re-do the entire game again. It is possible to re-gain both positive and negative titles, as long as it's not already on the card. So, with 4 positive titles to gain and only 3 titles displayed, you can just keep playing for good titles you don't currently have to shove the bad one out of your records. When playing this game, I always liked to try to keep 3 good titles on there, trying to work off bad titles in this manner after they popped up.

I honestly wish the chao garden returns in a future sonic game. I miss raising chao.

As someone who always hits himself with the nunchuck cable every time I swing the sword while playing this game, I approve this challenge.

Just so you know, there's actually 3 ways to tell the timing for the Perfect Hit. The most common one is 1) The Soul Attack reticle will turn white. The lesser known ones are 2) your sword will glow, and 3) the soul gauge will turn red and start draining again (this only applies after another Perfect Hit) The soul gauge tell is the easiest to miss, as it starts draining part way through the perfect hit window, but the sword glow happens at the same time as the reticle colour change.

That Wii is my mentality. Holding on by a thread 1:34

I feel cheated, this game seems a whole lot more fun than I was led to believe when it first released. Great job on the challenge, you persevered through a whole lot in the early stages of this and it was well worth it. Even with that one use of the nunchuck, there was still a whole lot of creative effort put into navigating the various challenges thrown your way. Also, a John Cena joke in 2022? If I could subscribe twice, I would :V

Please. I have heard the laugh of one who’s sanity came dangerously close to breaking from challenges like this. The townsperson thing is nothing compared to that kind of anguish. Which is a good thing. Challenge runs are fun, they are not worth your sanity.

(Tho, I still wonder if there's an obscure way or glitch to bypass the wall and achieve the perfect no-nunchuck run).

This only taught me this game has a lot more depth than I thought, and I played this back in 2009. I might have to experiment with things now. Only because I'm curious how deep this all goes.

Incredible game design that there's only one horizontal wall climbing section in the entire game, something that probably shouldn't exist in a sonic game anyways. I also love that you foreshadowed this obstacle when you got to the tutorial wall climb, intentionally or not

This is actually my favorite game of all time, so watching this was incredible!🤩

Hey great videos! Awesome to see some underappreciated Sonic games (and Boom) have some attention. If I may reccomend a crazy challenge run, what about Sonic Riders but mostly running on foot? I don’t think it's possible to play a race entirely without air due to the ramps and the fact you start out with air bonuses but I think it could be wacky enough for a video!

KZread to not the most kind overlord to its subjects who make videos for them. He probably has not even been monetized for very long, if KZread has even finished his process of becoming monetized as they often take a long time to make that change.

I think its a neat detail (Also, if there's more instances too? Im not sure) also, this game reminds me a bit of shadow the hedgehog, but with less forced good/evil gameplay.

Oh! To make it simpler to find and check, lemme tell you how to get it! Go to the fight, and when you're supposed to waggle the wiimote, just waggle like crazy, and get hit. The text triggers then! Im not sure if there's other moments like this in the game, and if they only trigger when you fail, but since you've beaten it you can check easier! Edit: forgot to mention its not just one text box either!

Great video this is a really good gameplay of sonic the black knight.

For a channel with 5 videos, I kinda like what you’ve done with each one If you’re taking any video suggestions, I have two: Beating as much as Sonic Colors as much as possible (otherwise getting as many red star rings and getting the highest rank per stage as possible) without wisps Beating Frontiers without any upgrades (asides the Cyloop because that’s mandatory for progression in the first thirty minutes of the game)

I actually really like the break segments for longer videos, hope other people start to pick it up!

Dumb question, but did you use the nunchuck/analog stick to navigate the menus? I love your sonic challenge videos.

Nah. I used the D-pad on the wiimote. (you can also point the wiimote at the sensor bar in some areas)

That taught me several things about this game that I never knew, and never needed to know because the game doesn't do anything with those bits. My admiration for Black Knight has only grown, but this may be the epitome of a game that's "almost there."

Now beat Ultimate Lancelot without the nunchuck.

These videos always tells you details you didn't know about the games. You got stopped on the 2nd last level. How tragic. The video is still admirable though.

I will say it again, you are a madman and I love it!

I never knew that the black dragon could actually be beaten by attacking its horn! The middle right pillar can be targeted and attacking it will cause it to collapse and instantly kill the dragon. I remember spending so long trying to beat this fight as a kid and accidentally stumbling upon the pillar, it was so frustrating lol

As a Sonic and The Black Knight Fan, I knew that The Cauldron was gonna be the biggest problem the second I started this video I was like The Cauldron might be the end of the run, but still this challenge was interesting to say the least, it was fun watching this, and im glad this video is getting recognition along with the game
