The modern game has overtaken Wenger. It's as simple as that, the market is crazy and it's only going to get more expensive. By the time arsene realises this city and Chelsea will be streets ahead of us. If you want a world class player you have to pay way over the odds. +doodli2000 akpom needs to go on loan, it's the logical next step. He's doing well over at Hull and we should be excited by that. You could argue that we needed Akpom at Arsenal more, but he's still too raw to play striker for Arsenal for anything more than a couple of substitute appearances. If he had stayed, he would've only gotten any real game time if Giroud, Walcott, Welbeck and Alexis were injured at the same time. Even for us that's unrealistic, it would be a whole wasted year in Akpom's development rotting on the bench. Having him on loan increases the likeliness of him actually improving and becoming a genuine option for us next season.

Red & white Victoria Thing is mate, when a world class striker becomes available the odds are we will lose out to Madrid, Barca, Chelsea, Man City, Man United and Bayern. There isn't an abundance of world class Strikers out there, so the odds are we'll miss out. Plus our rivals at home and abroad can offer better wages, and are far more attractive prospects to join. No we shouldn't settle for 2nd rate players, but let's be realistic here, a lot of the best players in the world are a bit out of our league and price range.

Sorry but Ty's optimism is blind and blatant denial. He wants to be positive so bad that sometimes he doesn't look at what's in front of him. Fucking really? His positive "did we lose any players?" Is that what we're resorting to now? REALLY? FFS. Fucking hell, Claude might be negative, but it's fucking true! This exact squad we had BAR CECH, came 3rd, and not even close to first place. Cech maybe gets us another 8-12 points, but then look at the attacking elements added to other sides, and not just the top 4. We're gonna end up in liverpool's position if we aren't careful down the years. And I have a genuine feeling we might not win anything this year, which is awful to say but lets face it.

as we havent got any new signings, we must make everyone in the club useful like putting theo or alexis up front with campbell or alexis in the lw and the ox on the right.

we were too picky, strikers moved this window but we only aimed for striker that were highly unlikely to move (cavani/benzema etc)

The first half of last season we had no coquelin, no gabriel and effectively no giroud. The second half of last season we we're on title winning form and now with the addition of of a world class keeper, we have a squad capable of winning the league.

When he said realisticly who could we have signed.... Zlatan? He has high wages but we can get him on a season long loan and get the striker next window as wenger wanted. Also, Ezequiel Garay who at the start was linked with us and wanted out of Zenit and arsenal were interested.

It's not good enough but yet so many arsenal fans still defend wengers transfer policy 11 years without the title repeated failure to get past the knockout stage of the champions league they still are happy to take top 4 and pay the highest ticket prices in Europe it is an absolute groundhog effect at this club PIers Morgan had it spot on in his talksport interview this morning and it is just outrageous that Wenger has not added an outfield player to a squad that finished over 10 points behind the champions last season it's absolute arrogance or blind faith and I know which one I think everything has to be his way and he refuses to show ambition to push on and win the title clearly

This was the season Leicester won the title so imagined if they HAD signed a few players 🤔

I really feel for Robbie, for a solid month he's posted a vid everyday discussing potential transfers. And for us to get NO ONE must be crushing, more for him then it is for us fans.
