I have had the worst experience with my 4yo KitchenAid refrigerator. It’s a 5 door model and started periodically shutting down. The parts are really expensive and the service people say is not an uncommon problem. I’ve been advised that replacing the wiring harness in a drawer could solve the problem. It didn’t and cost hundreds. Now I’m on to replacing both control boards to possibly solve the issue. Seriously, I’m looking at putting the better part of a two thousand dollars into possibly keeping the fridge from turning off, randomly.
