No, this is quite normal. You must know that this is simply from the evil whispers of shaytaan. The very fact that you feel guilt over these doubts is a testimony to your iman. Whenever such thoughts cross your mind, I advise you to not entertain them, ignore them, shoo the shaytaan away by seeking refuge in Allah from him, make Dua to Allah to keep you steadfast and refrain from sins that give shaytaan power. To have such thoughts is one thing but to start agreeing with these thoughts is what can make you go downhill, actively disagree with such evil thoughts and strengthen your iman through good deeds and seeking knowledge in shaa allah. I will make dua for you

It is truly astounding to see that a person as educated as Shabir Ali does not know the difference between a proof and an opinion. He is either an educated person wantonly blurring the distinctions between what is considered a proof for something and an opinion, or he is ignorant of what constitutes the proof of something. The majority of his followers will likely not understand the distinction either.

Islam doesn't believe in the son of God but see Jesus as an prophet because honesty how can god even die 💀 if God can't even be created and I don't understand why Christians wear the cross sign of Jesus death like the cross shouldn't really please you. would you wear the same axe that was used to cut off your mom's head? I hope not. Islam just had more reasons and has more logic. Also to be clear the Bible has been changed many times I meet many Christians that say pork is allowed and others say it's not. He believes the Quran is true because the prophet said so. This is a fallacious argument, the argument from authority fallacy, he's basically saying the Quran is true because the prophet said so. Whether he was unlettered or not is irrelevant, the Quran was written based on what the prophet said, and continued through oral tradition. There is nothing in the Quran that gives any indication that it had any insight on how the natural world works, in fact the Quran is absolutely wrong on many things we now know that have discovered through scientific investigation. What criteria do you use to determine something could not have been written by a man and could only have been written by a God?

Allah sent angel Gabriel down to earth to tell Prophet Muhammad (saw) about the revelations and Prophet Muhammed and his companions memorized the revelations and wrote them down. Secondly, the Quran is the true book, because no book has been preserved perfectly but Quran is perfectly preserved. An old copy of Quran was found in a college in Birmingham and it's still the same. Christianity was the true religion back then, but it was corrupted. The bible was corrupted and The whole religion was corrupted.

na bro he isnt just saying that the Quran is only the truth because the prophet said so. In the video he mentioned how the quran itself is a mathematical wonder, which couldnt be done by accident (since the quran wasn't revealed at once and [I think] chronologicly). Besides that it's a known fact in the arabian world that the Quran is a lyrical masterpiece. It's just impossible for one man who couldn't read or write to come up with this. Its not like there were some people who made it all up. Just as Judaism and Christianity have their wonders and witnesses, Islam has too. We believe in the original messages of Moses and Jesus. But it's simply known that their messanges were translated or interpreted in different ways (testaments) which automaticly leads to a loss of meaning (a translation is always an interpretation of words and therefore a loss of meaning). And as the other comment by Brown paper bag says, the quran hasnt changed over time. Look it up if you're not believing me. This is coming from someone who had doubts of Islam. But I did my research and I found my answers to my questions. Its always the same for me: I hear something which at first doesn't make sense to me. I question why Islam implies some things in a specific way. I do my research or ask someone who knows Islam well and start to realise that it in fact does make sense. Bro idk if youre a christian or jew, but just consider this: Jews literally believe that there's going to be another prophet in the future (but as commenly known they reject Christianity and Islam. [+ there's someone mentioned in the Thora that is described as "praiseworthy" which is in hebrew pronounced as "muhammed". Muhammed means praiseworthy in arabic. I'm not making this up look it up bro]) As I know Christians believe that Jesus said (by menaing) that they shouldnt trust someone, after Jesus is gone, who doesnt preach the same message as Jesus. Why imply that there will be someone that will preach the same message as him? Muhammed in fact did preach the same message. Sure there are differences about how to practice it, but this isn''t about how to practice, it is about the message. (look up how orthodox people pray. Looks familier, right?)

George Allah means God in Arabic. Any Arabic bible on earth will also use the word Allah when referring to god. Allah does not have any tie to a pagan god especially that of the moon.

Wish he would have given specifics. Also I don't get what Muhammad’s pbuh illiteracy has to do with the eloquence of the Quran since he spoke it not wrote it.

Dr. Ally is a very thoughtful and eloquent scholar and deserves respect on that count. I listened to his talk on Reza Aslan and I was impressed with his objectivity. So, I decided to listen to this talk. I was disappointed that he did not address the following question. He says that because Koran came to Mohammed from a source claiming to be 'God' ('angel' Gabriel ?) that it is 'God'. Today, there are plenty of channels who claim to have a spirit entity ('angel' if you prefer) talk through them. For example, there is one entity claiming to be archangel Michael. Should we then automatically adopt this new angel's message as the word of God ? Why choose one angel over an other ? Why believe the so-called angel's word as truth ? What if these entities are here to deceive mankind through half-truths, that mix truth with untruth in order to attract the spiritually inclined and deceive them ?

It is based on human preconceptions of what God might or might not say to humans, and furthermore the results of centuries of conditioning of that frame of mind through the passing of religious belief to the generations. Even if Angel Gabriel may not be deceiving the prophet and us on purpose, he might simply think he is wiser and close to 'God' than humans, and therefore entitled to speak for 'God'. In conclusion, people place their faith not in God but on the opinions of self or other humans (scholars, others).

engimalover I like your argument . Kudos!. However, an Angel would not have disobeyed the instructions of God go unnoticed (Lucifer is an example). So your argument that the Angel may think he is wiser than humans and hence, could simply claim as he wished is flawed because if he hadn't delivered the instructions, he would have been confronted accordingly, and that confrontation would have been recorded. You also did not take into account, the scientific predictions in the Quran, which could not have been scientifically verified during the revelations, but in our scientific time only. Please allow me to point you to the Quranic account on Embryology and Dr. Keith Moore's ( Of the University of Toronto in Canada; not a Muslim) work on it.

You are quoting the angel's stories told in the Koran (of Lucifer, and angels obeying or disobeying God, and God's prerogatives) as if they were the word of God in the first place, to prove that in fact they are verifiably the word of God, which is circular. In other words, you can't prove something through self-reference.

Point of correction; "angel's stories" are also in the Bible; not just Koranic" There are similar stories regarding the angel Gabriel in the Bible. Are you then saying that those are also " of channels who claim to have a spirit's entity"? Will you simply discard those as not authentic because you are not equipped to disprove it equally? Following your formula, which, I must point out, is even more circular, you are in no position to disprove that those were just " other entities" claiming divine origin. Also, may I ask you to simply prove that the appearance of angel Gabriel to the prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) was not true or that his message was not of divine origin? cheers

You are loved and valued by God so much. You were created in His image and have inherent and irrevocable value. You are an image of the divine. God made you above every other creature. He wanted you with Him in eternity, hence Jesus. You, as well as the remainder of all humans have transgressed against God. Since God is perfect, you, as well as everyone else should be condemned for sins (transgressions). However Jesus, when He was crucified, was the perfect sacrifice for us. Therefore, for those who believe, you will have eternity with God in heaven. It is only through a divine gift that you can live in heaven forever. But it's simple -- it just requires faith. Once you accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior, you will receive the Holy Spirit, and He will quicken (give life abundantly) to your body. You will be able to pray in tongues, you will be able to heal the sick, you will grow in wisdom, and you will be more like God Himself every day. This is the truth. For some, Christ is salvation, for others, His existence is a stumbling block that they cannot grasp or accept. It is up to you to accept or reject. Your eternity depends on it.

The eternal future of close to 2 billion souls hinges on the fact that Muhammad (PBUH) was not a high IQ deceiver telling a very creative tale; read the Quran, it sounds like writing of a man (Surah 4:34; 4:65; 5:51). The Tawrat says by the testimony or more than 2 or 3 is a matter established (2 Corinthians 13:1); how can the entire religion is based on trust in one man's testimony - think about it?

There is one GOD one religion, only humans create differences and fake religions which are based on races(like Judaïsme coming from Juda son of Jacob peacebe upon him), prophets followers(like Christianity coming from Christ followers), culture and usually mixed and altered with own believes and desires..., especially when there was no science to save the real books and religions for succeeded next generations..., taking example of language and accents which are coming from people background until humanity knows papers and books, meanwhile the last message Quran where the first sentence revelation to Mohammed peace be upon him was " Read , read, by the name of GOD who creates humans...." in reality GOD sent prophets and messengers for one message and goal, means all messengers has same religion and as a muslim we have to believe on them all from Adam, Noé, Mosus, Jesus.. to Mohamed, they was all sent by merciful GOD and all was Muslims (Muslim means one who surrender to GOD ...)

I think that humans need a god cuz i see a lot of atheists follow and almost "worship" people like Sam Harris or Richard Dawkins and etc, but it's never a good idea to trust a normal person a 100% like that and follow everything they say. One of the most known characteristics of humans is that they make mistakes, so how could you have faith in a normal human being or the science that was brought by them? Imagine listening to Sam Harris and then you die as an atheist, but Sam Harris converts to Islam after you've died. Imagine the betryal, after years of listening to him, he changed his thoughts, you lose everything and he wins

Martin Růžička Yes, that is what he said. However there are ways a person can get a book written without knowing how to read. Get others to do it with dictation is one natural way to do it. It's also possible a person could read and write and it's just thought he couldn't. He also said we can know the quran is true because it promotes one god, not two or three gods. Which isn't proof either. That is like saying we know the Hindu god Kâli is real because she has six arms, not two. Yeah, I'm left unimpressed with his proofs.

Quran is the book of Allah because quran describes about ferouh that was died in drowning the sea how could a man who lived 1400 years know it because it was discovered by Dr morris. How a person knows about mountains with many colors which are recently discovered in China whose description is in quran. How a person knows about water cycle and big bang theory which is written in quran 1400 yers which shows us that it is the book of Allah. There is a one sign in quran which means I (Allah) has revealed it and I will look after it and it is same quran that was 1400 years ago how is it possible can you please explain??

@Tony Ang listen the original Bible has been changed by different people for over 1500 years, don't say Satan wrote the Quran when he manipulated people to write the different books you believe in. Legit human authors wrote a book by God its self explanatory.

1. You claim that the Bible is corrupt but are still using it as evidence 😂. The Bible is widely acknowledged to be the work of a variety of (human) authors of centuries. Even the bible scholars think its crazy to think they spoke with anything like a unified voice but muslims have no trouble with it. The prophets in the bible never came out with tawhid, zakat, prayer, hell and heaven, judgement day, angels, jinn, kaaba, islamic doctrine of prophecy and there's certainly no mention of a final prophet. They spoke God's commandments and had a specific role to play. In fact yahweh worship wasn't even exclusive rather he was a tribal deity. 3. Muhammad doesn't trademark monotheism. How is this any different from "allah" advising muhammad ? The quran can certainly be interpreted in a way that is consistent with its man made authorship. 5. This is a lie. There's no moses, exodus, lot, Joseph, abraham, dhul qarnayn, uzair, luqman, seven sleepers, e.t.c rather these are legends of the bible and local legends that muhammad would have been aware of. The quran also borrows stories from rabbinic literature, and features from its late antique background. 6. There is only one prophecy of the quran and according to Nicholas sinai its not impossible to make. According to Ghaffar its too vague to be an ex eventu prophecy but some say it is. But there is no evidence for the traditional quranic chronology of verses. 7. There is absolutely nothing in the quran that predicts modern science. Islam denies evolution, and it has a flat Earth cosmology and it has been latest argued by sean anthony and confirmed by Nicholas sinai in his reddit ama. Also the early exegetes. 8. If you are going to pick and choose what you follow in the quran then it can't be a guide. Might as well throw the book away and make up your own morality. 9. Every book has mathematical peculiarities if you look hard enough. It only proves the author was very careful if anything. Perhaps the greatest evidence of design without designer is evolution. So design can and does happen without designer. In conclusion none of his arguments hold water and when it is clear that there is no evidence that God exists, there is no evidence that islam is true. I encourage everyone to subscribe to academicquran reddit, and read books by secular authors, not muslim apologists

I hope not. Islam just had more reasons and has more logic. Also to be clear the Bible has been changed many times I meet many Christians that say pork is allowed and others say it's not.
