I remember going to Philly for the 1st time in 1996, driving all the way down from New Brunswick, just because our family was craving for authentic Indonesian food. It was, at the time, the city with the most vibrant Indonesian community in the whole atlantic side of North America.

Yang di jatim tidak marah dengan gorengan yang mereka kenal sebagai ote2, juga dari suku lain apa yang merka kenal sebagai bala2 atau bakwan ketika mereka temui ote2 di jatim. Untuk cendol terlepas dikenali sebagai chendul di singapore atau makanan berasal ide dari cina, mungkin mereka kenal dari sumber nya shin-she or chin cau or what ever. Not for the same name and it is claimed. Standart taste is original value just like he reviewed all the origin taste of these cullinary. You re the man for the show for being honest. Kejujuran dan pengetahuan memberi makna yang sesungguhnya atas kewajaran sebuah hal. Great work Rob. Food are also expensive in Singapore. A portion of beef rendang cost at least 5 sgd. I have a house in Wonosobo and when I go back there, I always have a feast there. Maybe, someday, you can come and stay in my house. Salam from Singapore 🇸🇬.

Sayur asam is actually a legacy of past hard time. You see, Indonesian dishes use like thousands of different spices. Only sayur asam use little onion, garlic and lengkuas and that's it. Chop and boil. Cheap and easy and fast. I can't remember the last time eating sayur asam. My Mom used to cook it sometimes, and only her would eat it, she but hasn't done for so long time now.
