You put points in to find item when you want to put points in to find potion, you'll get more out of find item that way.

@@rawbmar1166 Right, there is some weirdness in the exact percentage added and I think you do get more out of adding hard points to Find Potion vs. Find Item. With any points I have left over, I use maxroll's d2planner to figure out the optimal assignment, but it usually doesn't vary much more than 1%-2% how you do it. For example; if you have 10 points to spend, adding 10 to Find Item = 51%, adding 10 to Find Potion = 52%, adding 5 to each = 53%.

My first ever char I made on d2 was a ik barb. I had no idea what I was doing but 10 year old me loved the glowing. I figured he must be godly

I like this idea, and would love to see one for each of the class sets! I think I've got all of the sets except Griswold's, I'm missing one piece. None of the sets are optimal, but each does seem to give benefits to resists and magic find at least. The Necro's probably got the coolest features (floating Vampire allows you to 'walk' and go the same speed, meaning full defense all the time + fire skills!) - M'avina's: Bowazon focus, I use FA + Immolation arrow with a strong Valk and murder in Hell, mana-intensive build though - Trang's: straight-up summoner, since fire skills allow you to ignore the P&B tree (except corpse explosion), Hell is pretty casual with this setup - Tal's: I made an elemental (FO, Hydra, SF/Nova) sorc and she wrecks - Aldur's: weakest, worst set, I can't make anything useful with this garbage - Nat's: it's focused on a physical/kicksin build w/LoH gloves and Crenendum belt, and I'm a trapsin, so not really effective for my build - Griswold's: I don't have the full set, so I haven't tried to build anything, but seems attack focused, not for the FoHdin or Hammerdin

I got full Aldurs and went elemental and ehhhh definitely not the best gear for that build, but he did ok in hell haha

You should do one for each set. I used to use Griswolds on my zeal pally as a kid and remember beating the game. It was really hard tho lol.

I think it's also a very good beginner option for shifter druid (I know it works well on fury druid, but I guess it would work on a werebear druid as well), because druids have good attack speed with two-handed weapons and fury hits super fast, meaning all the +damage on the weapon add up nicely I would use it on a SSF druid for sure, even without the armor (hardest find) and helmet (barb only)

I love your videos mate and I would like to make a some suggestions for a potential future video because I don't think you quite explored the full potential of the set in this video. 1 - You did not hit the last breakpoint on your whirlwind. You will need a jewel, rune or a neck piece to give you some ias. Highwarlords is a great option, this will improve your damage quite a bit. 2 - Cannot be frozen is now very important. Before it wouldn't affect your WW speed but now because you benefit from ias everywhere you definitely does not want to get frozen. 3 - Barbarians are usually fine on AR if you have full IK and some good charms on your inventory but if you don't have them yet just throw an eth rune on your maul you will be just fine. Also remember that WW got an AR buff in 2.4.3. 4 - Playing a full IK barb with a merc who does not have Reapers Toll is the same as playing a lighting sorceress without infinity. It simply does not work. 5 - Socketing your maul with good jewels or even 2 pul runes can increase your damage SO MUCH. In that video all the sockets were empty. I'm very confident that if you apply those considerations your barb will be able to handle p3 easily.

I wish set items could roll eth so the maul could take advantage of the indestructible mod

I thought items with the indestructible mod can't be ethereal though? It's only the other way round, that you can make eth items indestructible with the Zod.

@@greggen63 That’s true as the game currently stands besides things like Ethereal Edge and Shadowkiller where being ethereal is also a default mod of the item. I simply stated that I wish they could. It’s odd to exclude such a rare mod from benefiting from the extra dmg/def when things like Skullder’s that have repair durability are allowed to. An upped eth Butcher’s Pupil or Cranium Basher could actually be viable with the right socket in regards to the runewords they compete with. Unique weapon’s need some love in comparison to their runeword counterparts that are able to get around this weird niche rule the game currently has in place.

Been running this lately. I put a cham in the armor, 2xptopaz in helm, then a um/shael in the weapon. Highlords amulet, wisp and dwarf star ring. Great survivability and damage output. I just wish they would allow chance to cast to proc on WW.

The 3 piece combo of boots gloves belt is actually really good for a barb on a budget. They drop all the time in hell and provide resists, better IAS than any other glove, AR and MF. Can make a frenzy barb go from unplayable to not too bad if you throw on some oaths or maybe unbending will.

Weird, I was just looking for someone that had evaluated IK WW build and you put this out today... On my IK WW Barb, I use dual-shael in the maul, dmg enhancement jewels in the helm, socketed the armor to put in a Hel rune (lowers Str req to 198). - Amulet: Crescent Moon - life and mana leech, +mana, magic dmg reduction, dmg taken goes to mana --> great ammy for this build - Ring1: Carrion Wind --> life leech, dmg taken goes to mana, 55% poison resist - Ring2: Manald Heal --> mana leech, +life, regen mana --> Alternatively, I've used Nature's Peace in this space, it keeps the re-animates from bogging down progress, plus it has dmg reduction and prevent monster heal, but I find the mana leech to be more valuable in general, plus I finally found a use for Manald Heal! I end up with 22% life leech, 30% mana leech --> this resolves all of my issues with mana burn enemies and recoups hp pretty much all the time. Merc: A5 Frenzy barb --> Lawbringer, Voice of Reason, Duress, Tal's helm - The vast majority of physical immunes in the game are undead, Lawbringer's Sanctuary aura keeps undead from clogging up doorways (see Tower runs) - I've tried using a Grief in the other weapon slot for the barb merc, but it seems such a waste, so now I use it in my off-hand incase I need it

2-3 piece IK on fury Druid is so good. Very under utilized and unappreciated.

Yea if you don't want to shatter corpses to be able to use Find Item you can't use Raven Frost either. It get's kinda tricky to get CBF, you either need to use Death's Guard (which is trash) or Trang-Oul's Girth (which is quite rare) or Cham your helmet (which again quite rare). Or you can use shield but who uses shield on a barb.

Immortal King Set and all the sets were godly and each character was used as originally intended. Diablo2 was forever broken with the introduction of Enigma, Grief and Exile.

Except the majority of players were playing sorcs back then, not a well dispersed collection of each class with their respective class sets. If the game had a way to get +1 Teleport more easily and a less expensive way to get a Conviction aura, the game would be more diverse. I hate the off-hand teleport staff (dying is too easy using it) and prefer having a amulet or helm with teleport charges instead. If the devs would just increase the number of charges to ~75 and lower the price a bit, I think you'd see a huge change to the economy and much less dependence upon HRs like Ber that only wealthy or non-casual players would have.

Did you pay attention? This set was never "godly" and this video more than proves it. Surviving alone does not make it worth using, that is unless you have nothing better to use at that moment. That is the true purpose of these items, to use them as stepping stones to better gear.

@@Idkwhtpsipto exactly. Enigma=now everyone is a sorc. Grief=makes all melee weapons irrelevant and smite kills all melee builds. Exile=gives the amazing skill Life Tap to only 1 character. I know i used all these skills in my D2 days and know how the game was before and after these broken skills

With a life tap wand and Um/Shael in the weapon I was able to solo Uber with IK set, albeit slower than more optimal builds. The build can handle everything other than PVP sufficiently, which considering how affordable sets are is quite remarkable.

Back in 2003 when the 1.10 patch came out, this set wasn’t godly, but a great stepping stone as you had very damage type and it was a big improvement over the 1.09 version of the set. It was even easier to complete as the soul cage used to be in the old tc90. In the mid 2000s I had a lot of fun with this set. It can be fun and worth playing. Maybe have a series one day of those mid tier things? Not godly or garbage. Adequate/viable and something different for a change. Variety is the spice of life!

Note on sockets - I was going to say that you need two sheal runes, but with the new patch WW takes IAS from ALL gear, not just the weapon and sockets, so you might be at the highest breakpoint already. But other than min maxing with sockets, solid. IK set is just that, the tank barbie :D i shove 1 point in beserk for those physical immunes. Great mid to late game set, but enigma and grief just takes it that next level.

Using Ik Barb from 2006 until present. For me, its my favorite set.

I'm just missing ik armor, but was thinking of making a fire trap sin that uses flickering flame and dragon flight to tele ( since I can't make enigma) with dual plague or chaos/plague so I can ww.

The set does, what it is suppose to do: Make you for all intends and purposes immortal. Remember back in the day, I had a playgroup: Firesorceress, Conviction Paladin, Curses and Summoner Necromancer, with me playing an IK Full Tank and teambuff build (Concentrate, Shout, Batleorders). Made any run a breeze. And made me fall in love with support tank builds and classes which I still am to this day.

I am a big admirer of this set.. Yet, I did not find the last component - the Soul Cage :) I am thinking about trading for it..

Concentrate is a solid 1 point wonder for single target IMO. Before they upped whirlwind Concentrate had more attk rating and damage at one point than WW maxed. The numbers are better for WW now, but I still like Concentrate for single target/bosses

Concentrate is more fun than WW. Who plays barb like that. It is boring and never in the movies or comics a barb acts like a silly puppet like that.

Yo, whirlwind barb on a controller is a blast. I wasted 2+ months of time just whirl winding trav for runes. Built my enigma, item find goes further than I think most can imagine. Can recommend. Iron Skin pretty pointless when you should have enough life leech to basically not die to anything. Happy farming dudes.

Agree. I have four characters at lev80+ now but I keep returning to the IK Barb, Find Item is a game changer and not having it is super frustrating.

You already have +450 atk rating on the set, give yourself some rings with attack rating, i know getting slowed is actually useful for whirlwind, but it can also be detrimental. So get a 225+ atk rating raven frost, a good 100+ atk rating rare ring with some stats on it, maybe a grand charm or 2 with 100+ atk rating and you should be good without angelic, plus you can use highlords wrath for your amulet. Another useful ability to always level up together with whirlwind is berserk. You don't need 2 synergies for Berserk, so just skip on Howl and level up Shout and Battle Orders. Not only does Shout give more defense from the start and end than iron skin, it of course also can be given to your hireling and party members, so it's always better to up this to 20 and just let iron skin be a 1 hit wonder. This is usually my skill distribution: Get the required skills and collect as many spare skill points as you can, or just respec at 30. - Level up together, +20 whirlwind, +20 berserk - 20 in Battle Orders - 20 in shout - 20 or remaining in mace mastery (i've never noticed that big a difference in damage leveling this up, but the deadly strike is useful if you are going for more than 20%) With highlords wrath you get the extra +20% attack speed to get that break point, you get plenty of deadly strike, especially with some mace mastery. You can also put 2 Lo runes in the hammer for an extra 40%, or maybe 1 Lo and 1 Ber, whatever fits your needs. You can also put 2 sheal runes in the helm for +40% faster hit recovery, so with the 25% on the armor and 25% on the belt, you can reach the 86% breakpoint. Edit: Wait, they fixed whirlwind atk speed not being slowed down by slowing effects?, well now you need raven frost.

@@autiseedllc8661 How?, it increases your attack rating a lot, but after an x amount it kinda becomes pointless. Enemies will always have dodge abilities on which attack rating doesn't do jack doodles. Just get around 800-1000, which with the IK set is pretty easy to obtain, in which you can skip the angelic bonus and get something far more useful.

That set is pretty awesome , i was using it with my barb in D2 Classic:D

I just remembered there were bugged White Gloves that were just a ik maul stats on ogre gauntlets.

I would put 2 shael runes in this ogre maul. It permits to reach highest breakpoint with whirlwind. 4 frames per hit check.

Pretty sure you need high lords to reach the breakpoint with both shaels in the Maul. Or 2 15 ias jewels in armor /helmet

Yes, it really helps that you can use ethereals, take advantage of the indestructible mod in Oath and thus get an 50% extra base damage. Looks good for sure.

Using stun shout keeps travincal from healing each other. Very useful there.

A few notes to you Phil: - why you did not use Battle Cry? You would have taken them down much faster, because their defense would be around 60% less..I always battle cry-shout when I come across a horde of monsters and then I start the Whirlwind dance :) - when you played players/7, you received amplify aura, so no wonder why your health was going down fast ;) - in Travincial, you would have killed the council members much faster if you lured them out one by one, or two in the same time, at the most... Personally I think that this set is easily in top 10 sets and I play it with great pleasure.. Anyways, thanks for the presentation..

Could be a nice idea to just implement set items available as ethereals. Btw maybe a combo of Lo/Ber in the Hammer and Damage jools in Helm may change something?

I believe that as of patch 2.4.3 Whirlwind now uses all sources of IAS.

I really wish that the D2R team would give the barb some more changes and potential skill buffs next patch. Fixing some of WW is a step in the right direction. I can’t help but say that the weapon damage is just a tad low for the maul. Barb needs some way of splash AoE…much like the Mele Pally has the auras pulse damage etc.

Your right about the maul being too weak. Having the Maul or any two handed weapon you lose the advantages of the shield a maul needs to be at least 3 times more powerful than a single handed weapon to make any sense.

In my mind the strongest aspect of a barbarian is Find Item, so having Freezes Target +2 on the gloves and + cold damage on the weapon is a no-go for me. Personally I would love for that to be swapped for slows target and CBF as running Raven Frost in your ring slot ends up with the same issue, and if you can afford a Cham you are probably rocking a Grief and Arreats is the better helm at that point.

I almost got this whole set I can’t wait to try it!

I also like gloves, belt and boots. The weapon would need like 100% ED more than it has, nowadays.

Looks so much better on the OG D2 - I run him as a Zerk/Concentrate, single target but still loads of fun!

Imagine doing Druid Aldurs Set full+2 items from IK(Belt+Gloves 25% attack speed more!). Weapon with 2 Ohm+Ber and highlord amu and wirh raven ring.

I wish the glow effect came with better, harder to achieve sets. It’s really cool.

If they raised the +3 skill bonuses on the sets to +5-6, a lot more people would play with them. As it stands now, there can be a huge discrepancy between an easy to get Spirit sword/shield combo that gets you +4 skills, +60 fcr, res, fhr, ll, magic absorb, vitality & mana. +1 helms are a dime a dozen, as are +1 amulets. So, if a set that has pieces replacing those doesn't give you similar benefits, no one should ever be using those sets unless they just like the look. Maybe if they had one-of-a-kind features that you couldn't get anywhere else, like Trang's give the Necro sorc fire skills and allows you to 'walk' (but, you're actually floating) at the same speed as if you were running and thus keep your Def.

Phil, my barb is just that, WW with a full I K set and I have to say I absolutely love it! If there is one word that discribes it comletely is it "Balance" . LIke you said, kill speed isnt the best in the game, but there is virtually to situation you cant tackle with this guy and its almost impossible to die. I have dual Shael runes in the hammer and 2 topez gems in the helm and it works just fine, my trinkets are diffrent that yours however. A +1 babr skill rare amulet since i havent found Highlord yet and rings are Raven Frost and a dual leach crafted ring. I have a bit more Dex than you do for that attack rating but its fine, it doesnt hurt my damage at all.

Even with the recent update putting at least 1 shael rune in the maul will help u reach the last ww breakpoint, and I use Concentrate as a backup attack skill, and for those xtra pesky PI's 1point berserk works just fine, the maul on the full set can take out most PI's with little problem.

You need 2 shaels and 20% atk somewhere else, like highlords amulet to reach last ww breakpoint for IK maul. The recent update absolutetely rekt this set, big dmg nerf.

on the 69th, you can leave one rank in the wisdom of the oak, on a clean fault - you get 10 in the wild wolves (damage 31-36 for the mausoleum burns in a nightmare) :mobios.jpg:

i used my IK WW barb to farm council. Had easily capped res, 10k AR (not too great but good enoug), and decent dmg

With all of that elemental damage, maybe you could run Infinity on Merc, that way you can also free up your angelic items.

And it’s like you should put the points into find potion if your using find item because every point you put in to that is a 1 increase to find item instead of the two or three you need to put into find item

should I socket 2 perfect diamond to the helm or it's not necessary for attack speed?

The one thing I liked in Diablo 3 (hate that game) was the ring that allowed you to not need 1 peice of set items you have equipped, that would be a nice new item, make it a unique gram charm, no level requirement, and maybe throw on some nice mods like +10 all res +5 all attributes and maybe some conflicting mods like -10% experience gained -10% gold find

I like IK on Conc Barbs and Shapeshift Druids. It's actually bananas how good it is on SS Druid.

@@daveshank1921 I even wear IK chest on SS Druids if I don't have something better. The only thing you really lose is the 50 all res from the full set bonus compared to other inexpensive options. And you still get 40 all res from the chest anyways and 25 FHR.

@@Jvstm Yes I will wear the chest too if I can find/trade one. But I usually just go with Smoke RW in a 490+ defense armor. Either works really well in Hell and is a Murderer in NM

first char i ever played was barb, i went ww and looked at items online and thought that the ik weapon would make me deal tons of damage. i never thought about it, but that was pretty much the exact moment when i found out that melee kind of sucks in d2 ;D

I was concentration never WW. Farming is like farming in real life it is hard work. The game doesn't make sense Barb has very average Melee damage you would of thought it would have the highest.

The set is missing deadly strike and open wounds . D2r has made melee damage too dependent on it but isn’t on any of the set gear. Either buff the weapon or buff melee damage . They could also give us more physical resistance reduction weapons and tools so we could keep up with ranged resistance reduction gear. I shouldn’t have to stop wwing to shout in the middle of a group to lower attack and defense lol.

I run the maul + boots, belt & gloves on a Fury Druid and it slaps.

I use my WW Barb with Immortal King Set to farm Nilathak. I can spin easily right to him without taking a lot of damage.

If you had a might merc from a2 and higher AR (guessing from the hit rate that you had an average chance to hit of about 50-60 in this vid) it would be a lot more effective. Not only does the might aura provide a massive flat damage increase of over 200% which directly translates into more life and mana stolen as well for increased survivability, but the AR would have you landing those hits even more often, doing higher damage more often and stealing more life and mana, plus more mobs are being hit stunned therefore are able to attack you less. AR cap is suuuuuuper important to hit for barbs. You also may find that going to a concentrate/berserk build will actually result in faster killing than ww, particularly in higher players difficulty. It doesn't have aoe but you can target and chunk down monsters, and concentrate can also keep you alive with its huge Def bonus. I don't know how to describe it better than this, but being down low in AR will cause you to miss more hits than you would think, it doesn't seem to be linear either.

You need to try jah ber on weapon and 3x15ias/40ed in the armor and helm

I always have a soft spot for the immortal Kings set. Not the greatest but it's fun to put together. Still haven't found the armor in resurrected for some rng reason. Best part is the visual full set glow. I feel that blizzard could put some more work and time into sets and make them more viable.

Yeah I don't know if it's what they intended or not but runes and runewords completely rendered the set items (for the most part) AND most of the uniques in the game unviable. It's not even worth picking up most set items and it's rarely worth it with uniques too. I get more excited finding uniques.

@@voteZDLR totally agree. it's mostly routine now. see any set item and leave it on the ground unless it's a piece that you need for a tal's, ik or trang's. last time I checked gris or nat's or bk are still quite outclassed ... szabi's is better now in d2r iirc for the act 5 merc?

@@ewannoelkailevi4772 Not sure I mainly use the A2 Defensive merc with Holy Freeze but I am rocking a bone necro for my ladder start (and really my only character right now) but I laugh at the old me where I'd pick EVERYTHING up and then save it all. Didn't know the value of items like that. I found an Ethereal Thresher and I rolled the dice by cubing it not wanting to waste a Larzuk and I got lucky and got 4 slots on it, so I put Insight in it. I want to find Ethereal armor that's worth it and then pray I find a Lo rune so I can make Fortitude on it. And beyond that, an exception to the rule, he does have Vampire Gaze on his helmet (I got extremely lucky, wasn't even looking for it and it dropped for me on a NM Mephisto run really early on before I was in Hell) and then my merc will be set. But yeah it really is all about runes and runewords now which sucks because I remember old school D2 before D2R, before the expansion, and those items were all you could get as runes weren't in the game yet.

The armor was always the hardest piece to find xD. I remember I found everything else except that piece in the original. Eventually I outgrew the set but I never did find that armor piece and didn't want to trade for it frankly because as you say its not the best xD.

@@christopherdsuza7531 yeah, the thing is that with some experience and knowledge, the strategy to get end-game items lies with doing a ton of LK runs or Pit runs or Meph runs. it's just a matter of time (and luck) but with time you WILL get your Surs, Bers, Los, Vexs etc ... from LK or just questing. That means Grief, Hotos and the rest of your runewords. Run Meph and eventually you'll get your Shako and Arachnids etc ... youwill reach a point where these cool sets/set pieces cease to be useful - which is kind of unfortunate.

Loved IK when I was a kid, but lately I rebuilt a barb and once you tried double grief it's tough to go back to IK ahah. The rest of the set can easily be used in an endgame build tho, the weapon and the helm are the only real limiting factor imo

I always hated how the helmet didn't offer any big bonuses like the rest of the set. Full set with a highlords, and raven frost is around 2 Ist at the most. Even cheaper if you scrap the highlords for an angelic amy/ring combo. For that price, it's pretty solid.

its part of the initial design philosophy of the game. all of the set helms offer really bad optimization or are lacking in skills; Tals is even strangely itemized for melee. Its so hard to justify running any of the set helms when things like Shako and Arreats exist and aren't that much more rare. imo every set helm needs at least +1 to skills in addition to its existing stats.

@@bobnewkirk7003 Yeah, it almost makes me wish it was like d3 where an item could make you get the full set bonus with 1 less item, or be able to choose from 7+ items to get a full 6 item set bonus. Shako with a full tals, Arreats will a full Ik. Etc.

Sadly IK set got a Lot worse , 2h ww NON swords Got worse. Bcuz of 2 things: 1) 2h non swords CANNOT reach 4 frames per attack as before . Max is 5 (about 18-20 damage nerf) and 2) ww is affected by slow effects : wich forces a ravenfrost or cham 3) with a base 10 speed weapon You need 125 IAs yo reach 5fpa (max) . So those sockets MUsT be shaels (wep) and IAs jewls (helm) . Even doing that a single decrep or slow would decrease your ww fpa and your damage. So yes. IK set si Omega crap . You would be a Lot better with LOH gloves , treachery, goblin toes , oath 2h sword and only use the helm (IAs jewls) and belt until nosferatu. Ww Got just tooo hungry for IAs , barbs need it to keep max fpa and ik set just lacks it .

It's a crying shame. I rolled a barb on ladder and went full IK initially, and even before the huge nerfs to it from the WW changes (why blizzard?) it kind of sucked. It does give really good survivability early though thanks to the bulk resistances and high health.

@@polkhigh_33 You can't hit 4fpa with a non-sword 2H anymore since the WW changes, since it's hard capped at 5fpa now. In the case of the IK set, you used to hit 4fpa when you put 2 shaels into the wep, where as now you need two shaels + off weapon IAS to hit a breakpoint that's 25% slower (it's actually 125ias to hit that, not 119). On top of that decrep/frozen/holy freeze now affect WW, so as soon as you get one of those your 125ias is now almost 200 to hit 7fpa, where as before the changes it was entirely unaffected by slows. here are a couple resources for you: forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=95636119&f=148 warren1001.github.io/IAS_Calculator/

Im a French who started the game 3 weeks ago and im a barbarian in the nightmare mod, can you help to know what type of build and stuff i needed? Im a dual sword with the spin player and i have only 55-132 damages

ive found helm boots and weapon so far, so i wear boots and helm, i really like the set

whirlwind needs a significant tweak in my opinion as it is very slow to kill groups of mobs.

Shael runes instead of Eth in the Maul?

I passed the Hell with IK set and i used a Beserker with Might Merc and had 7000+ damage. Monsters died by hit to the head, i smacked Baal right between the eyes.

Used to run this on hc. Was fun.

Hmm maybe a shael rune is a good option for the IM weapon

Ik set is solid. Sure you're kill speed is gonna be a bit slow but it makes you a very beefy boy

I think all the high tear sets need teleport upon completion. Maybe a change from class skills to +3 to All Skills. Otherwise it’s great fun! Thanks

Being frozen is sometimes better when spinning it hits more

The biggest problem with this set is getting the armor piece. 1. Because its somewhat hard to get and expensive to trade for. and 2. because its the only piece that gives a decent amount of resists. You are so gimped using the other pieces and having no resistances because you're missing the chest piece. Whole set is held back because of these two things.

Grief, fortitude, arreats is great. Ik glove, belt and boots is all you need.

Shame what they did to WW in that last patch. This set used to be good. The hammer used to reach 4 fpa with a couple shaels in it. EDIT: I just looked at the WW breakpoints, and this set used to do 50% more damage than what you are doing now.

@@lefgia In the first part of the comment I was talking about WW changes. But in the second part I was saying that IK WW back in the day was 50% more powerful than what he's currently demonstrating in the video.

you dont need to suffer with barbarian. just make fury druid with cheapest items (upped ribcracker with shael)

cannotbe frozen wont help you with the freeze-aura. but yes with the changes to WW ias- now frozen state slows your attackspeed! before it was ignored

Im using ik barb for about a year. It is not definitely perfect. Even I use jewels on head piece, maul and armor. Also using high lord amy, raven frost and life leach ar ring. Plus charms, anni and torch. Still not perfect.

Pll always crit others, but the anni/torch without gives ya much more so id of showcased without it. Other than that, I like your videos. Been playing since 2001 myself. IK aint to shabby for regular equipment. Same with Tal's

neither. but for a totally new player who only wants to play barbs to start his farming, the ik sets help very much. my first barb wears ik sets farming for runes and uniques. then my second barb can wear runewords like treachery and grief and some other useful uniques like harlequin's crest, andariel's visage, vampire gaze, crown of thieves. it's like a very useful tool to help the newbees to understand how the game wokrs, then you go some other stuff cause you've become stronger. i use barb to start and farm the baal throne until i get all the pieces of this set.

I love using Ogreee mauls

Would honestly dual-spec WW & Berzerk, for single target huge bonkers magic damage (and take care of the phys immunes, too); Either Raven Frost or Cham the armor, 2xShael (or 2xBer if you're rich) in the Ogre Maul. This set not having CB and/or DS just makes it... meh

The maul has up to 40% CB maybe you meant critical strike and deadly strike

@@dredd6696 oh snap! Yeah, totally fudged that up, my bad! Completely forgot about the CB on the maul! Also, I imagine that level 27-30 mace mastery gives decent crit chance

It makes almost no sense to put any point into find item. The IK set crushes almost all mobs like an ice crusher, because of the high amount of cold damage of the maul (127-364) and the +2 to freeze of the gloves. Very few corps of cold immunes are left to squeeze.

IK give you a lot amount strengh, dextery, life, mastery points, damage enhance, defense and resistances from all, but required many mana for WW and break physical inmunities of enemies with Concentration

You don't say the e in ogre (o gerr) / angelic amulet and ring makes a BIG difference with damage.
