I got Diablo1 as a gift from my strict Christian aunt and uncle. I was in the third grade.. talk about a scary game. Been hooked ever since. They bought the game because the goal was to kill the devil, and they appreciate that. So thankful for them and their Naive Addictive Xmas gift.

Used to play this with a friend from school. He and his parents were devout Catholics. His parents approved of the game. Liked that he could play as a paladin.

so i played the game as a kid when it first came out and beat it… (or so i thought ) then played it again when the expansion came out and beat it… (or so i thought) and now that d2r has come out i realized i’ve barely even started the game . there’s so much more to it than i ever realized, 🤯🤯🤯

I think a lot of people have similar stories. I was in 7th grade when it came out and I played it. I had a gnarly necro, destroyed cows and all...but I'm pretty sure I only beat it on normal if I recall. I knew nothing as well..

As a returning player who hasn't yet played cows again...it was SUPER HELPFUL to know I could kill the cow king and still re-enter the cow level in the future. It was something I was honestly worried about as a single player. Thanks so much!!!

If you want a good enigma base, just upgrade a dmged archon plate to have a chance for 500 amor or more, and then because its itemLVL 1, you can Lazurk quest it for a 3 socket!

They should add more shared stash to be able to hoarding those materials for crafting. 100 fold should be enough 😄.

The upgrade low quality equipment recipes can be used to get better odds on rolling lower number sockets as the resulting item has a minimal ilvl

Repairing any Paladin Shield (Sacred Rondache, etc) will re-roll the "All Resistances +X" bonus, so repairing pally shields will give you many more chances to find that coveted "All Resistances +45" shield. As a Pally, especially a Hammerdin, you should always use an EL rune and a chipped gem to repair (and re-roll) each and every Sacred Rondache you find (or similar high-end pally shields).

I tried this and I could only get it to work once, on a cracked sacred targe. Unfortunately the roll before I repaired it was better than after, and the socket recipe didn't work while cracked

iLv on repaired items is 1. On iLv 1 pally shields you obtain only 3 sockets, so no Spirit, no Exile, no Phoenix, just Sanctuary or ancient pledge. If i'm not wrong, also automods follow this rule so you can gain just +5-10 to all res on iLv 1 pally shields

It’s useful to upgrade low quality elite armors like archon plate, monarchs etc especially when they are so rare.

The problem is it changes the item level which can effect the max number of sockets. So it may be worthless depending on how many sockets you need for your base.

Collected the base, found the runes and made my first Spirit monarch shield yesterday. Was a dopamine hit and then some. Iv had many in the past but was a wikked feeling making one myself. Earned it

Rare/unique armor upgrade to exceptional can be useful, for getting max belt slots.

A lot of these may seem redundant now, but in classic non lod, these could make a huge difference or save you in a pinch. Im glad they left all of this in d2r. Crafting a prismatic amulet was good too.

I know of 1 use for the low quality armor upgrade recipe. If your looking for a pally shield base with decent res. pick up a cracked pally shield, when you upgrade it the resistance suffix will re-roll.

when i was taking college chemistry, my classmate asked me how i handle the subject enthusiastically, i said i just imagine the table of elements are just like me playing D2 cube recipes back in the days.

find a 3 socket polearm and put ith el eth into it to create a malice runeword for merc. double check the runes and order tho. farm countess for the runes

Yeah, he does not mention this, but that Savage modifier for the damage means the weapon is always at least a level 19 requirement, and sometimes higher (e.g. a Bill requires level 25). But when your merc is level 19, take 3 chipped diamonds (and 3 kris from Fara, 3 sashes from Charsi, 3 staffs [just normal without skills or ED or whatever] from Akara) and make 3 of these polearms, and you'll probably get a Savage Scythe or Savage Polearm that your merc can use (and a Bill or War Scythe or whatever that you can save if you don't need Insight).

Thanks for the information. What about crafting recipes? Is blood armor and helm good enough to add life leach to a mercenary or caster amulet is only useful recipe?

Not sure if this was said, also an old video, but changing from low quality to normal can be very good. Find a broken monarch, make normal, add sockets via larzuk or the cube recipe.

If you run cows on NM save any GC you find. The 3 Pgem reroll recipe is useful for rerolling + skills GCs. I also learned a decent recipe I never considered before too, so thanks for that. The rerolling sockets on a magic weapon with only chipped gems can be an amazing way to get good mods on a staff or wand for new characters. Especially so, if you are doing self found items only. Also potentially good for getting a crap ton of gold early. Staves and wands have a really good sell price if they have +skills. I have been away from D2 for a good 10 years now. Just recently learned of D2 Resurrected. Been watching a lot of content on it because I am planning to start a character over this holiday weekend. Probably going to do self found in Single-player. With work, wife and kid I am certain to not have enough time to really farm or accomplish anything on ladder. Will try to get a good Andy Meph and LK map in hell to start off with.

You can make rune words from a superior white item. I made a Spirit Rune Word from a Superior Monarch Shield with 10% ED. Other than that love your vids!

yeah but then larzuk quest is better than cubing. larzuk always gives you max sockets on the item so 4 on a monarch. cubing is random

I like summoner necros so the reroll on necro heads and wands can be awesome since I am looking for level staff mods. Especially heads because you cannot buy them.

couple quick fixes, terror key is from countess not summoner and hate is from summoner, wirts leg is top left not bottom left inside tristram.

Lol, I actually used the damaged to normal recipe, only because I wanted to craft a 3s helm for MF. I just took the first helm that dropped, was not in the mood to farm for a 3s helm drop. And the recipe is cheap, no big loss. Everyone has these items in stash.

MrLlamaSC does a bunch of D2 videos but your production of these videos is top of the line compared to his. Much easier to understand content and much much better video quality. I do agree on the respec requirements, i think its a bit too harsh.

Actually, when using the cube to turn a Low Quality item into a White item, the iLvl remains 1 (or 0? Not sure). This can be useful because Larzuk will then add a different number of sockets to the item than he otherwise would with a "normal" White item (which has a much higher iLvl). For example, I did this to create a 3os Phase Blade, guaranteeing that Larzuk would only add 3 os instead of the usual 6os.

Does a low quality pelt with skills on it keeps the skills after using the eld recipe? I found a bad quality 3 3 2 pelt with one socket. If I could get rid of the socket and keep the skills I could use the socket quest It would be a game changer

I've gotten like 4 2 to skills amulets from crafting rings.

I have many times used to the 2 bolts to make a stack of arrows actually for my bowazon because damn. Speed Runners use the prismatic amulet recipe.

Nice video ! Does anyone know why I can’t put sockets into my good quality wyrmhide (grey name and plus defense) ? I used the right runes and gem (yellow). I thought it works for good quality items .

”Normal” gems are the ones that are just ”Ruby” , just ”Diamond” etc. with no prefix. chipped>>flawed>>”normal”>>flawless>>perfect

well shit, that's probably why i never roll skillers I've just been doing it with a any grand charm I found just by playing.

Those SoJ recipes were because SoJ were so duped they were used as currency my old acct I had 6 mules full of SoJ

If you want max sockets you can use larzuk for that. for less sockets it doesnt work.

always thought it was weird having to complete game to unlock the cow level.. if you've completed the game then it's kinda pointless, same with getting all really good items.. you've won.. you need them lol

My opinion, if your able to farm areas to find a ber and jah or trade for them. You've either found a 3 open socket armor you want or can easily trade for one incredibly easy by that point. No one with that wealth and resources would waste the time to find a cracked dusk, upgrade it, then use a larzuk socket reward on

I am also pretty sure that the ilevel will always be set to 1 so you need to be careful as Larzuk will only give one socket. I had thought about that one time when struggling to find a white monarch for spirit before which was low quality and used the cube to make it normal quality. Larzuk won't give max sockets to said items
