I got a shundo Ho-Oh during Johto Tour so it’s been a year since I have and it's also the only shundo I have so I’m planning on just grinding for XL candy

I got a decent iv shiny HoHo a few years ago, might do a raid for the xp/candy. There are a lot of open lobbies and no players at the mo. 😎

I got the hundo apex so deff maxing it with this

I had a 15/14/13 shadow apex and I need XL 😁

I do have a shadow Apex and a 93% shiny from Johot tour

I have 5 shiny ho-oh lol and I just caught two thunderous within 45 min apart.

I have done probably over 100 raids in the raid rooms and have only been able to capture 6 Ho-oh’s because they keep breaking out. I have not even seen a shiny from the raid rooms yet and people keep asking in the rooms if anybody had caught a shiny. My grand daughter fought in a raid at our park once and she got a shiny. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I’m a level 41 and play all the time. She’s a level 33 and doesn’t play as much as she used to. I was just wondering if our levels and time playing might have any effect here or if maybe I won’t be able to get a shiny from the raid rooms… ? Do you have any feedback or advice? Thanks for your time and I love your videos! 👍 Btw, I do have the Apex Shadow Ho-oh and I chose to purify it because I loved the way it looked. I’ve been told that I shouldn’t have done that. Idk, but I love it. I would still love to have a shiny. I love Ho-oh!

I mean Moltres does 1 more damage per second but has less total damage output but Reshiram is pretty significantly better than both

@@xDbrad I still use my hundo HoHo in Master League even though it’s just barely over lvl 40. Its one of my favorite Pokémon to use in Master League at the moment, so getting a shundo would just make me use it more. I also use my hundo in raids pretty often as well. Can do some work as a fire type attacker even if it isn’t top of the chart, especially if the raid Pokémon has focus blast or something HoHo resists.

@@beastarj8256 Not sure how many before I got the hundo. It was like a year ago, before Johto Tour. It was the first time I ever raided Hoho and I probably did at least 20 raids before it went away, but I think I got the hundo relatively early. Just great luck on that one.

You’d be better off spending your money on reshiram when it comes back, I have one that’s level 47 and I like barely use it. If you wanna spend your money/passes on it then go ahead tho, just know once you get better mons it’ll almost never see the light in raids and be a waste.

@@no_u_420 I did close to 60 reshiram and Zekrom raids each that is when they were available at the start of the year both I've got double moved and as close as I could to 50 before running out of XLs reshiram is slightly higher CP just under the 4400 mark. Thank you for the advice I do appreciate it I think the Jhoto legendary birds sit in a very nostalgic place for me as I've just hit my 30's growing up meant weekends spent sitting around on one of the neighbours driveways with the good old GBA link cables going to Trade/Battle with most of the kids from my entire block honestly ✨

TO get sacred fire ++ you purify the Apex Ho Oh, BUT you definitely shouldn't do that lol it makes the Ho Oh have less dps than a normal Blaziken

@@lthegr81 Nah all purifying does is take away the shadow bonus which is 20% more damage taken and received, BUT Ho oh is a special case, I think Ho oh and Lugia are the only pokemon where if you purify them they get their best moveset possible, although even with their best moveset shadows are better

I don't have a ho oh at all so I'm gonna raid it a lot I'm sad it won't have a legacy move which means that lugia probably won't have aeroblast but I'll take what I can get

There might be someone more knowledgeable about this than me who will comment but I think Lugia is more useful in raids and pvp and in my opinion has a better looking shiny. I plan on saving my coins until Lugia is in raids and just using my one free pass a day until then.

Basically the difference is Ho-oh is meh in raids and Lugia is just straight up useless, although in PVP Ho-oh is #24 best (if you max it at least) and Lugia is #1 in Master League

The way I am is Im going to power up my also 93% shiny Reshiram that I caught during last time Resh was in raids, and my shadow Apex ho oh simply because I like a diverse team of strong counters and not all the same counter

I purified for a 100% Apex Ho-Oh, so I will be working on getting the needed candy to max it out eventually

I would like to see the performance of lvl50 apex shadow vs lvl 40 reshiram because it is highly unlikely to be able to max 6 reshiram to lvl50 but if shadow apex is comparable at 50 it might be worth it

Reshiram stats at level 40 - 19.312 DPS 666.3 TTO 46.8 Total Rating Shadow Ho oh at level 50 - 19.296 DPS 748.2 TTO 48.15 Total Rating 1 normal level 40 Reshiram does more damage per second than a level 50 apex ho oh which is the most important stat for raids, but even if you completely ignore the stats did you really think 1 pokemon was gonna have a chance against 5 pokemon in the same tier even with 10 less levels? lol

I mean i thought this was pretty straight forward but i guess not lol, it's very good in Master League but 99.9% of players aren't gonna spend $50+ to max out a Pokémon only good in ONE league of PVP and average or bad in everything else, most players don't even play PVP lol it's much more worth it so max out something that ranks higher and is insane in PVE like most of the legendaries ahead of it

I'd argue yes. Ho-Oh is in a unique position in the ML meta, being a solid response to Dialga, Groudon, and most fairy types, as well as Excadrill and Melmetal as long as shields are still in play. It also hard walls the most common moveset for Zacian (play rough + close combat). Personally, it's one of my favorite Pokemon for ML.

He doesn't need to ask them lmao it's not actually against the rules even if they say it is, it's the same as autocatchers, if you use an autocatcher that wasn't made by niantic which millions of players have or do, you can technically get banned for it, but not a single player in the history of pokemon go has actually been banned for it

Whatever you do, DO NOT PURIFY SHADOW HO-OH, it's way stronger as a shadow (as you can see in the video).
