Albedo is proven with Hu Tao vape and Itto Mono-geo. Dendro is fun because it's new... and maybe when Nahida comes out, it will make the META. However, I'm just not blown away by dendro yet. It's definitely effective, but Spiral Abyss is currently catering to and buffing dendro reactions. I guess what I'm saying is that when things normalize, I don't think Dendro will surpass other archetypes, so I wouldn't necessarily constrain myself to the dendro niche just because it's new.

Really just a question of if you have Zhongli or not. Since Zhongli is a no-brainer for 99.9% of the playerbase to go for, hopefully most will pick him up at some point. Albedo/Zhongli is just an absurdly good 2-person combo to pair with anyone in the game. So Albedo is not a must-pull but it is hard to go wrong with him AND if you have Zhongli it makes sense to pick him up at some point.

As someone who enjoys fixing things, playing games and then fixing errors or ways to improve is a past time of mine. For albedo its been a lot of work because making him do more damage isnt a fix for him but changing too much of his kit while maintaining that flexible albedo feel has also proven tough. His new kit would be the following; NA, CA, plunges: same Skill: same Burst: how has his C2 built into the scaling, 50% less atk based damage to balance C1: now affects every party member, giving energy to entire team C2: Is his A2 passive, except scaled. "After using his burst albedo grants his team EM equal to 17% of his def" C4: Albedo grants 17% normal, plunging and charge attack damage to allies within his skill C6: While within his skill allies skills are lowered by 1s everytime a blossom is triggered. Blossoms now can trigger when an enemy takes shield damage too. A1: Same A2: While protected by a crystalize shield within his skill party members gain a 17% damage bonus This is how I would fix albedo

@@Dartheomus "normal" is a weird term in genshin meta. Abyss will ALWAYS carter to the current banner chars and it might be a really long while till it moves from in-directly buffing dendro. Until then, anyone that benefits from the dendro abyss buff will be very good until it changes

I still believe the day where they will buff geo reactions Shatter actually being strong and deals a good amount of dmg (I can totally see a Ningguang + Freeze team becoming actually good, like Ningguang, Albedo, Diona, Xingqiu cuz Ningguang as the driver will shatter every single attack she deals against the frozen enemies also dendro + geo could have SOOO much potential, unlike Cyro and Dendro that i can see genuinely see why they didn't make a reaction for it, Geo and Dendro could possibly make "Seeds" that when you feed a element to it, it would "Grow" and modify the map accordingly to the element it absorved Exemple: if a seed absorbed Electro it would generate a field that would increase the characters speed and elemental particles generation If a seed absorbed pyro it would make a field filled with grass (to be burnt, characters like Beidou would love this) and it would also buff the characters attack As you can see the seeds would copy the party ressonance and actually make it better as a reaction, so it would always be desirable For me the concept of Geo structures and it being a neutral supportive element + dendro reactions aspect combined would result in something like that lol I'm typing for way too long now, I wonder if someone will read it lol

Mihoyo does not want to make Albedo a must pull because he's male. They'll probably do that if Albedo was ayaka in disguise. I'd still easily skip ayaka though. I don't like waifus because of this. Oh and if you say Kazuha or Zhongli, read genshin history first.

The Primo Geo Vishap has 50% Geo RES and 10% Dendro RES , and it also loses and 40% Dendro RES when you knock it down , the fact that Albedo's team was on even footing with DMC's team indicates he is *MUCH* better

Albedo is just a super comfy and flexible character. You can put him on any team and he’ll just be doing his thing. I mostly use him for my friendship teams, cus his regular 20k clear everything in the open world with only a 3 sec cooldown.

Albedo is a very balanced character. He can provide a significant amount of off-field DPS, particularly if you have Cinnabar. One thing you didn't mention was the number of shields he provides, probably because we often run him with ZL who brings his own shield. However, it's still a nice addition, and it's EXTREMELY useful for people who don't have ZL and want to play a character who likes a lot of field time. (Cyno, Razor, etc.) This is because the flower does last for a very long time. Albedo's burst is underwhelming, but the the extra EM it gives can help with vape or other reaction teams. The energy cost of the burst is low, so ER isn't really necessary. If you are playing mono-geo, then albedo is a must-have. Overall, I think Albedo is a fantastic character for people who are still early in the game and don't have a lot of characters / healing & shielding options. He can fill that defensive role without sacrificing a lot of DMG. I don't use him quite as often these days, and yeah.. maybe he's not the highest DMG output in the game... but he's flexible and he doesn't underperform.

@@DaxVerus Definitely true. He would make for a very difficult main carry, since his kit is just not built for it. He's the most supporty support in the game. These days, they make the 5* c6 constellation the one that lets the character essentially become a standalone DPS. However, even Albedo's C6 is built for a support function.

completely agree. I never got Zhongli because I have Kokomi and Albedo. Albedo feels so comfy to play and I rarely need a healer even in Abyss unless there's corrosion.

I'm pulling for Albedo because I've wanted him since his last rerun. I can't explain why. There's just something about him. And now I'm not regretting getting Itto and C6 Gorou (have Zhongli too) so it'll be interesting. Oh and I do have the Spindle. :)

Zhongli/Albedo can be slotted onto any team. They just provide tons of passive damage (I have Zhongli in a hybrid build with only 35k hp or so) and protection. If you have 2 slots then they can work.

The most valid reason to pull for albedo is so you can use his E to ascend people in co op

@@TryphectaOG I would actually suggest pulling Albedo first, because Nahida will rerun way sooner than he will. Especially cause she’s a new character and we’ll be on Sumeru for quite a while^^

To me Albedo is the reaction heavy Geo support. His Passive can to be used to buff characters that cause important reactions around him, without including him. His skill then triggers on reactions allowing him to output his own damage along with his burst. I wanna put him on my electro charge team with Archaic Petra just because.

I didn't watch this video to know if he's still relevant or not. I already have Albedo since his first rerun and triple crowned him and made him a main dps, I love Albedo so much. I just wanted to watch a video about someone talking about Albedo since not many ppl really talk about Albedo much. He's so underrated but that's fine since it just means more Albedo for me.

What actually surprised me is how Albedo synergizes with Cyno. When the Isotoma procs and an element is applied to the enemy shield is available which is really useful for Cyno and of course that 125EM.

I know I'm pushing my luck by wanting to get Albedo when the Dendro Archon/Nahida is coming in the next update but I haven't explored Sumeru at all yet so I believe I should have enough Primogems to get her in time.

Another great video. Re: Albedo's A4 passive, I think it was meant to be part of his "Jack of all trades, master of few" design. Unfortunately, it isn't a big enough boost to justify using him over the other options you pointed out in your video. Maybe it'll be useful when a character comes out who modifies crystallize the way Nilou modifies bloom cores #hopium

I'd like to see EM boost how much damage geo does to shields, so geo could actually be a bit more of a universal anti-shield element. Though that would still be kinda sucky for Albedo, since for some reason, his flower doesn't proc on hits against shields.

Albedo was my first ever 5*, pulled with xiao double geo in mind (where I still use him) but I like him and fingers crossed he gets more diversity in teams outside geo ones 🤞🤞

I absolutely love your videos, like I already have kazuha maxed out perfect artifacts and yet i still watched your video about him from MONTHS ago. Only problem I wanted to mention is that i pause the video frequently to read text on screen and because the text you place is in the lower left usually, when i pause the video progress bar covers it so its very difficult to full read everything without trouble. I just wanted to mention this to you because im sure there are others like me who cant read super quick and also struggle to read everything bit of information on screen! Love the videos and keep it up I love every single one of them!

Albedo is definition of casual character, when I do daily commission with 3 unbuild character for friendship exp, albedo is my first pick as 4th character.

I have a crowned (skill) albedo and Im planning on using him in my nahida maindps team because i love her, he is a great supdps who fits im any team that needs an extra character and i love him….husbando over meta Also he buff em which is great for spread nahida…hopefully

for anyone who doesn’t know if they wanna pull or not, I got Albedo on his last banner and here are a few reasons why I still find him to be relevant in game: 1) f2p friendly: I see a lot of people talking about Cinnabar and yes, Cinnabar is his bis weapon BUT Harbinger of Dawn can work just as well with a decent set of artifacts AND it makes building him loads easier thanks to the crit stat and passive. When first starting out, Harbinger of Dawn will more than likely be one of the first weapons you pull on a banner, so it easily obtainable. 2) Resin efficient: Yes, Husk is his bis artifact set, but he honestly works with just about any 2pc sets that are relevant to him(ex. 2pc archaic/2pc noblesse, 2pc glad/2pc noblesse, etc.). He also works great with 4pc tenacity, 4pc noblesse, and 4pc archaic petra (on mono element teams) :) 3) Low Skill CD, Long Skill Uptime, Low Burst Cost: There’s barely any need to stack ER on this man and it’s extremely satisfying to be able to spam his burst with every rotation. His blossom is fragile, but you just have to get used to placing it away from an enemy, not directly on top of it. As long as the enemy is in the blossom’s AOE it will take dmg, there’s no need to waste a blossom trying to directly impact it. The skill will reset before the blossom expires, so you can comfortably adjust the placement of the blossom at practically any time. 4) Off-field Geo Dmg: I also want to make it clear that Albedo does not need to be on field for his blossom to do dmg. If you have a flying enemy you cannot reach, swap out to a bow or catalyst and it can still proc Albedo’s blossom. I do this often with Gorou or Ningguang and find it to be extremely convenient when I’m using a mono geo team in the abyss. 5) Constant shield generation: Albedo causes crystallize so often that majority of the time I don’t even realize my shields from Noelle or Zhongli have expired simply because I haven’t taken any dmg. For lower AR players who don’t have a shielder, or would like to replace their shielder for better dmg options, Albedo isn’t a bad choice (just remember to pick up the crystals when you trigger crystallize). I will say that Noelle is better suited for this position since she can deal dmg, shield, AND heal. The only bad thing I have to say about Albedo is his split scaling, and even then it isn’t much of a big deal to me. His skill scales off of defense, while his burst scales off of attack. Unless you have C2, you will need to choose which you want to invest in more. If you want the best of both worlds, I would recommend running Albedo in a double geo/double pyro team with Zhongli and Bennett included for the extra atk from pyro resonance and bennett’s burst. Tenacity Zhongli can also buff Albedo and keep the Harbinger passive from deactivating, while also providing extra dmg by resonating with Albedo’s blossom. Besides this team, I also often run him in mono geo with Gorou (4pc noblesse), Zhongli (4pc tenacity, burst build), and either Noelle (2pc. Husk/2pc Noblesse) or Ningguang (2pc glad/2pc archaic). With this team, his burst and skill both hit pretty hard (+ I use Harbinger despite having r5 Cinnabar for reference). This was longer than intended but I just wanted to throw my experience with Albedo out there for anyone who is on the fence about getting him. He may not be considered “meta” but he is a crazy good unit and is insanely fun to play with if you have Zhongli. You don’t NEED Zhongli or Itto to have fun or do decent dmg with Albedo, he just has great synergy with those two. He is very flexible and fun to play with, but as always I would recommend playing around with him in the test run domain before pulling just in case you change your mind :) I hope all Albedo wanters become Albedo havers!!

I think Albedo was one of Hoyo's experimentation with crystallize shield that went south.

If only Crystallize shields had a more predictable strength. Why the hell do they protect different characters differently, based on each individual char’s DEF, instead of snapshotting the stats of the Geo char that created them?

I always use Albedo in my teams. He is an important character to me, not just lorewise, but also his playstyle is suitable to fill a flex-slot. First of all, mono geo Itto team, then with Hutao, with Ayato-Ganyu-Venti, and my current favorite is Tighnari Fischl double geo (Albedo provides necessary aoe in this team). I used him in every abyss cycle. The biggest annoyance to me is that his flower sometimes breaks without a reason, they should fix it, really

Eversince i got my albedo, i now unconsciously walks 3 steps back then place the flower then face the enemy again... Its annoying but very doable in boss domains, not to mention the cd is so short

I got him by accident trying to get a four star 😅 But now I love using him. He’s a really comfy unit, because he does enough damage… but he also has insane defense, so you can just swap to him if you know you’re not gonna be able to dodge. Of course I don’t think he’s gonna be as great without his event sword from last year. I like using him with itto. I just started using him with a raiden, dendro traveller, kazuha team and I really like it because his attacks are so quick and I no longer have to worry about my other units taking damage, or him interfering with their reactions if I do the rotation right.

Albedo’s the first character that helped me clear abyss for the first back in 1.3. Since then he’s been a regular in abyss run. I’m the type who likes to put characters on a team on a whim, I don’t really have a certain meta team necesarily and I found that Albedo do really well in this whimsical play style since he is very consistent and more than strong enough to pull his own weight. If you only care about meta, I can see why you might not be as keen on him and that’s fine.

Albedo can be used as a hyper carry sub dps with the geo set, BUT he can also be used as an Elementary Mastery buffer. His ult gives 125. With Instructor, he gives more than 200 EM for your Cyno or Nahida. Works well with Hutao and Vaporize. Plus geo ressonance. He did not lose relevancy, you just need to have two builds for him.

I'm still wishing for Albedo because he buffs EM so I can use him in my Cyno main dps team, and use him as a geo battery for my (future) Noelle main dps team and I just think he's really cool in general hehe

Ahhh Albedo, the character that always carries my underleveled team cuz I can't wait to use them (Cyno and Candace still at lvl 40 and Kuki at lvl 20). Thanks buddy ☺️👍

He's absolutely amazing in my Yae/Tighnari catalyze team, provides a lot of survivability to both of them bc they're pretty squishy and I don't run a healer with them. The EM buff is extremely nice for those teams

Albedo is pretty cool, and I see him more as a sub DPS for geo team, very usable with xiao geo team. If you’re low spender/F2P he may be good if you like him, especially if you have his BiS 4star weapon (event locked)

I wish Hoyoverse will put Cinnabar Spindle at least on the Fishing ones or on a quest. That weapon is so good on Albedo.

Best part of Cinnabar is the “69%” defense increase

Is there any chance that his limited time event quest return, because that quest gives a lot of info about him, I started Genshin late and missed that quest, but I watched that quest on yt and it’s so beautiful, that’s when I started liking his character, I really hope hoyo make that quest available for those who missed it

I've gotten Albedo since his first banner and luckily got him to c1 within 10 pulls. He's pretty fun and versatile character to use. The most fun team I have with him is when he's with Venti. Just place the flower and do venti's burst then the mobs will be erased without doing much effort. He was pretty fun to play with mono geo team with itto as DPS, being a good energy generator. Then of course the Hu Tao+ XQ+ albedo + ZL team, my go to team on the abyss before yelan and hydro reso got its buffed. Good battery, off-field dps, and EM buffer. Low investment high gain character. Very f2p friendly.

Albedo + Anemo is very under rated but can be costly to fit Albedo in teams. Albedo does quadratic damage and it's very strong. He brings nice survivability too My best team mates with him are Sucrose and Kazuha. XQ, Fischl, Albedo, Sucrose/Kazuha is a very fun comp. I'm trying some Tighnari, Albedo, Kazuha, Kuki to fit in all my fav characters and it works nicely :-)

The reason why I'm getting Albedo is because he's one of the best looking characters in the game imo. I mean....he looks so cool!! I got the Sinabar Spindle so this is an easy pull for meeeee

I pulled him on his last banner bc ever since itto got announced I knew I wanted to main him and my goal was to get the full itto gorou albedo zhongli team. Rlly glad I was able to get him and his weapon during the event

My only problem with Albedo rerun are players not being able to obtain his bis weapon. I mean, yeah, u can use 5 stars or 3 stars weapons on him, but Cinnabar is a huge buff. I don't know why they made that weapon a Event Locked one

albedo's one of those charas i was on the fence about pulling (chara wise) and have come to love using him. he can be hard to slot in teams but bc kazuha didnt come home on his first rerun i did basically run double geo hutao (and i dont have yelan either, had to skip her sadly). he can also work with ayato i find. there's something satisfying about hitting 17k crits on his flower with how relatively low investment he is, assuming you have his sig. or maybe not low investment but hes simple to build? either way i started using him again bc while dendro and its reactions are fun, i found that i really miss my comfort teams and that includes him. one day ill get him a def% sands

He's also very good for beginners he carried me from AR 20 - 50 for the past year I've been playing and I still haven't taken out my team

I use Tenacity so I can use him for buffing attack and the crystallize shields which is really just damage reduction since they can't tank a lot anyways. He suprisingly still does a lot of damage.

For my account, he's super important. I have a c3 itto, zhongli and C6 gorou and let me tell you albedos damage is AMAZING. Im talking about 30k+ blossoms with just zhongli shield and gorou e. Also, It won't be the best but I can probably use him in teams that use dendro reactions thanks to his em buff. I love him so much.

With double hydro Hu Tao you can use Tankfei instead of Xiangling for shielding, I use this team and it's really comfortable to play

i have a highly invested triple crowned albedo that i really like to use in co-op. oftentimes i bring him to fight in the dragonspine domain (since i don't really have a strong pyro character i like), and a lot of the time, my pyro teammates end up dying particularly fast, and i end up soloing the domain with the elevator boyo (it does take a little longer than it would with another character, but i'm decent enough at dodging + albedo's def makes hits seem less impactful than they might be for others ehe)

I have r5 cinnabar and one of my main DPS is Xiao who I have had a hard time building a team for. So I think Xiao zhongli albedo sayu/heizou sounds good

I'm at 0:01 but I can already comment on the title, Albedo has ALWAYS been relevant, the only thing keeping him back is his elemental skill issues, the fact that it can't be placed on certain surfaces, the fact that bosses/elite enemies can destroy it way too easily and the fact that more often than not the elevator component is a nuisance rather than help

I was planing on wishing on albedo banner, but the 4 stars on his banners are non that I need unfortunately

Albedo is actually a really good holder of 4p archaic petra, you lose a bit of dmg from his skill something like 22k compared to 25k blooms but, he can create that really really powerful shield crystal

EM on a Geo actually gives more "shield HP" from crystallize, it isn't much, but it does

Here’s the thing… what if you try deep wood on albedo and use his burst as the extra em the team needs for reactions. I’ve been trying it with tignari and it has been pretty comfortable with zhongli for the safety, extra shred, tenacity buff, and this team actually can use the double geo resonance

I was really tempted to pull him for my main account mono geo Itto team, but I already have Ningguang to become battery and secondary DPS for Itto's downtime and I personally think my Itto is not really need another addition in term of DPS because he is already on his BiS so idk. fyi I'm on guarantee 76 pity right now and still trying to pull Venti even though I already have Kazuha & Sucrose that both already on all EM artifact VV set so idk again lmao.

I put Wanderer's Troupe on Tighnari and Deepwood Memories on Albedo once for an Abyss run on a friend's account. Team was Tighnari-Fischl-Zhongli-Albedo. It was very scuffed. Tighnari didn't even have a dendro goblet or the greatest artifacts, and Albedo's artifacts were...like +16 or +12, so his personal damage was terribly brought down. Still managed to clear it, somehow?

I think while Albedo is rarely optimal, he is flexible to a point that using him is rarely *bad*. I think he is a better pull for newer players who don't have anough characters, and so he can usually fit a slot doing some easy dmg (cuz even with his HOD build he isn't bad). Also, I mostly use albedo as the sole geo in the team. I do have Zhongli, but my zhongli is just pure shield bot with 4p TOM from kokomi, so he does no dmg, which often makes using Albedo + another support A LOT better than using Zhongli-- and yes, sometimes I use no healer no shielder, but Albedo makes it a little less mental with crystalyze shields--it legit helps with minor attacks. So my point is: you mostly use Albedo because you want, but he has more value when you lack the better options (I for one had to buy fischl on the shop several months in the game to finally have my first copy, after that I bought one more constellation and got a free one on the event, and she is currently c4 cuz I pulled two fischls in 100+ pulls on 3.0--i play since 1.5)

Albedo was my first limited 5 stars and the one thing I can say about him is that I just love slotting him into really lazy teams. He dies a decent chunk of damage with his E and I don't have to worry about it. I even use him with my Ganyu because she's on a melt build and when I don't feel like worrying about bursts his E nearly fills the same gap the melts would

My team: ayaka,hutao,xq,Noelle Have albedo but Noelle's shield is pretty op alr Saving for ei cause I've been wanting to have a mommy in my team, still not sure if her banner is going to be out and if she's going to be useful in my team. Any recommendations?

you should try out an all support team with albedo, slaps really hard in the abyss albedo + Zhongli + bennett + sucrose/venti/kazuha (venti is the best here) i have almost all characters at 100er and can still get back enough energy to spam my bursts.

For me an offfield damage sudps is always relevant for me and he is also very easy to build

Albedo is a great flex pick that fits into most teams, but is only great in a few(mono Geo) teams. Its not optimal, but i like using Albedo in hyperbloom to give a bit more survivability and EM to the party. Or as a defensive option in any reaction heavy team with a flex spot(Albedo,Succrose + Vape/melt does really big damage numbers), he is simple to use and build, but he is only optimal i very niche situations and in most situations succrose probably offers more to the team

Double hydro hutao doesnt need to always have xiangling Just run zhongli with hutao yelan xingqiu and you have both the higher dps than normal double geo and the comfort that you mentioned

im using albedo sucrose fischl and dendro mc and it work very well em buff to geo make a tough crystalize and if i have nahida its gonna be higher sucrose and fischl can trigger aggravate, albedo e.skill dmg rlly help and the elevator.. ITS RLLY HELP u can put all the skil and do basic atk w/ sucrose on top🤣

He’s prob the best Geo character to have in a Dendro affiliated team (the Geo Damage AOE he creates, the shields coming from it, the 125 EM bonus, etc). So he can be useful in terms of those things, but not really needed, cuz unfortunately Geo in itself is dying out of relevancy. Even the latest Geo character (Yunjin) focused less on that & more on boosting attacks. Doesn’t seem like there are any leaks of new Geo characters either, so it may be a minute until it uprises again if ever.

I want Albedo to complete my mono Geo team with Itto, Gorou and Zhongli.. but... I don't have his BiS weapon that was obtainable from an event, which I missed cause I wasn't playing Genshin.. so because I'm missing his BiS 4* weapon, and have gone broke for Cyno and his weapon, I'd have to skip Albedo to complete my Geo family. I also want to save up for Alhaitham, I'm a husbando collector owo

I will never regret investing on C6 Albedo, he's been carrying me thru the abyss since his first banner came out.

I have no regrets pulling for him~ He does around 28K per tick on his skill even though he barely only has 100 crit damage. I sacrificed some crit damage for crit rate for consistency. He could probably reach around 30-35K if I do a bit more farming in the husk domain.

@@PrimeEvans My build is like any other Albedo mains out there though. 😅 Mine is probably a bit weaker because his crit damage needs a bit of improvement. However, I'll share some details on my build for him if it helps you. I have him equiped with Cinnabar Spindle and 4pc Husk set (def% sands, geo dmg cup and crit rate). Iirc, his def is around 2400-2600. I'm not sure though coz I'm probably confusing his stat with Itto. 😅 Anyway he's at lvl 80/90 and I never explore by using him on-field to keep the Husk buff at full stack. His damage is probably inflated though because of Gorou's buff.

In a more straight cut manner, if you have cinnabar spindle, its impossible to pull for him and not end up with damage, but he's one of the many characters with c2 as a sweet spot and cinnarbar spindle hammers it home. He's a stable unit that you can slap on a lot of teams for raw damage, even if he's not optimal. He's a good unit for tiny brained casuals like me who kinda just throw things together and wing it. If you have a melee dps as well he possibly elimates the need for another shielder as well with constant reactions. I typically get the most mileage out of him with razor since the only reaction that matters is superconduct, making it kinda hard to fuck up.

My biggest gripe with Albedo is that his flower is literally made of paper, it ends up getting destroyed by the slightest gust of wind, you can’t even place it on top of most enemies so it feels very awkward to use, unless this is changed or buffed then I wouldn’t recommend anyone to pull for him unless you really want/love him XD

They should change it to act like Gorou's skill. His elevator barely works for exploration anyway, so it changing to a non-construct won't affect him that much.

Agree, his skill is so fking clunky, worst, it's his main source of dmg. Use him in a hypercarry team like Xiao, Itto, Cyno or other dps that requires huge field time and see how awkward it gets when his skill decides to become stupid

@@prexrizaldo4168 The thing with that would be that he couldn’t resonate with Zhongli anymore. It wouldn’t be horrible but in teams where they’re both used especially in Itto teams with three constructs out that does take away a lot of damage. They should just make constructs non destructible. I mean they already have a cooldown period anyway so it’s not like they would be up forever. And the only one that deals damage upon destruction is Geo Traveler so it really makes no sense to have them be breakable in the first place unless it’s spaghetti code.

While it is annoying, he is still an absolutely bonkers character. 30k damage per 2s and his flowers lasts forever is utterly ridiculous.

Is albedo still good for Hutao team? Hutao, Zhongli, Albedo and Xingqui? Or Hutao, XL, Yelan, and XQ are now better?

I have C6 Noelle and I can’t decide if I want to pull for Albedo or save my pity for the next banner 😧

I love using my Albedo (had him since ~1.2, was it?). However, ever since he got phased out from my HuTao team, I had to find a new team for him. Now, he sits comfortably in my double geo quicken (ZhongBedo + Tighnari + Yae) team, though granted this IS a very expensive team and is not exactly the most meta. Fischl might be a good choice, but the quickswap nature (and turrets) of the team works better with him!

I love Albedo. He's my fav character. And while indeed he's not often the "best" character in teams (heh my main teams are Xiao & Itto so i do use him a lot xD), he also almost always work in teams. And well the fact that he does buf EM even makes him pretty decent in reaction teams where geo characters often don't fit in. Im trying to build my Tighnari right now with a Tig, Fish, Albedo, Zhongli team. I'm prob going to build Yae after Tighnari though and prob replace Albedo then but gnna test & see who does better once Yae is built.

4:20 How does hutao, xingqiu, yelan, zhongli team compare to those two teams?

The release of Nahida may potentially grant him an additional team option: Burn The interesting thing about Burn ticks is that they can and will trigger his E procs almost perfectly on interval (which most normal dps teams do not actually reach), and Geo is a weak reaction onto Burn which means it won't remove it too fast (as Electro would). So you gain both his damage (at a higher rate than give or take any other team) and an actual use for his 125 EM buff (increasing burn tick and swirl damage from Nahida/Kazuha), while not interrupting the Burning ticks to any significant degree. His crystallize shields are also guaranteed to be Pyro, which actually does help in Burn due to its AoE damage being capable of harming both enemies around a burning target, but you as well, which the shields mitigate on top of Bennett's heals. It's already proven to be quite decent with much worse dendro options and far less Burn uptime than Nahida supposedly provides, so it's definitely one of the more interesting future comps I'm looking forward to. ( I'll make a Burn team good even if it's the last thing I do! 🙏)

Annoyingly was having a bit of a genshin burn out during his last event and only got his sword to R3....is it still worth using? Can't seem to find the answer anywhere online...

I’m like 99% sure that even just having Cinnabar Spindle at r1 would outperform most other options that you could give Albedo. Its passive is just way too good for him lol

I think most people only mention itto as a a DPS for mono gep teams with Albedo but I just got Albedo today (simply because I love the character) , I tried him with Ningguang and I was extremely impressed because I was expecting less from him . I am simply obsessed with his playstyle and how easy I can put him in many teams ,no problem . His skill duration is also perfect for the way I play my rotations . I have no regrets . BUT I do wish hoyoverse could update older character kits over time . Albedo still works but it's hard for him to compete with newer supports and he's not the only one . I think five stars must always have higher value in-game because they have higher value in pulls and they're an investment of sorts.

I've got C2 Albedo by accident (back to back 5 5-stars in 30 pulls, 3 of which happened to be Albedo), and i've never found place to use him. That's really sad.

@F Karma Eula-Raiden is my most used team, which had Albedo for some time. But after Yelan release, there is no place for him there. And one of my abyss halves is always occupied with stacked Ayaka team. I've tried him with Cyno, but Beidou is just 10x better. I have no Zhongli nor Itto for his standart use. I've almost leveled Kuki to 90, so i'm going to try him in Kokomi-Kuki-DMC team, but i'll most likely swap him for Yelan later anyway. And yeah, I was thinking to rise my C6 Noelle just to use Albedo, but i'm too lazy.

My xiao double Geo has been dominating almost all the past abyss eversince the event of cinabar and husk set... Albedo has been my favorite character story and lore wise, also his gamplay that make coop so easily lazy for me xD

Reason to pull albedo and use Albedo: 1. Build-friendly. He can make use of Cinnebar which was an event weapon which is his 2nd best option and F2P Harbringer of Dawn. There's no need for a 5-star weapon on him to make him great. 2. Geo Sync is one of the most powerful Sync in the game, conferring 15% dmg when shielded. He's thus perfect with Zhongli and works best when you can benefit extra Geo Dmg or need Geo Shredding. 3. High utility extremely high Dmg scale. His E.Skill last for 30s with 4s CD. It's a 100% uptime skill and has a VERY high base. To understand how high Albedo dmg is , we need to look at the burst of other characters like Xiangling: 150 180 230 and that's a lvl 13 burst dmg. Albedo at C0 does 260% at lvl 10. 4. He's a geo battery. In a full Geo Team. Albedo is a MUST. Albedo , Zhongli, Gorou and Itto The Husk of Opulent Dream is a set designed FOR HIM. Yes, no other character can make better use of this set than Albedo. Same like Tenacity of Millelith is designed for Zhongli. If you can focus on building him with 40 CV with his opulent set , then he could easily do above 30K which is hitting the main dps territory. 4 The 125 EM might seem like nothing, but which such low Energy cost and Albedo's high energy generation and if you're going for Geo Sync. Geo Sync may not help to 'max' dps of your say main dps, but it will still be VERY close to it with minimum rotation with Zhongli + Albedo. For e.g Zhongli + Albedo X Ayaka X Venti would be very close in terms of dps to Zhongli , Ayaka , Venti /Kazuha , Shenhe/Ganyu

I was surprised by how strong Albedo is. My c2 was sitting on the shelf gathering dust. I made a quick swap team with Albedo, Zhong Li, Ganyu and Rosaria. It cleared abyss 12-1 in 45-50s and it was very comfy. It's just Area of Effect bursts, so it's good for the current abyss. Maybe you could put choungyun c2 to make it a 10s rotation team. Maybe a good use of his ascension 4 passive would be a Rosaria melt team with a c6 bennet. Cyno''s 5* signature polearm is a good weapon for her melt team. Supposing you would have a hard time swirling both pyro and maybe Albedo wouldn't be too much of a dps loss.

The fact that Albedos best in slot weapon is an event weapon is hard enough to bare...the fact the developers even made a point of this by make his "Trial" run use the Cinnabar in place of Jade cutter feels like a slap in the face and salt Iin the wound. I was a regular and steady player of genshin for a long time but I felt burnt out. Decided to take a break for a few months...sadly missed that event. The fact the "Only" weapon that works on him, a 5 Star is a 3 Star Harbinger of Dawn?....honestly makes face palm...

Alright hear me out on this. Albedo's A4 passive giving 125 EM after his 40 energy cost burst is quite a good thing for aggravate teams and that is even better if you're willing to take the leap of faith and play: full EM Archaic Petra Albedo Now you might be scratching your head reading that, but for the longest time I had the theory that both Anemo and Geo were balanced in 1.0 around their respective artifact sets, Viridescent Venerer and Archaic Petra. Archaic Petra is a really cheap way to get 35% elemental damage bonus but for it to be more balanced they decided to go with the picking up the crystalize shard route which turned out to be not favored at all by the community. Initial geo characters like Noelle, Ningguang, Zhongli and Albedo were made with the idea of being able to utilize that set to give big bonuses to whatever team they could slot in and thus be almost as flexible as anemo. But alas that didn't happen sadly. Getting back to my original suggestion, why play full EM AP Albedo? that's because his skill cast can make lots of crystalize shards in group encounters and it also pushes small enemies back on initial cast which makes the act of picking up the shards a lot easier. You would want to put EM on him because crystalize shields scale based on the trigger character's EM and since you want to pick up the shards with the AP wearing character, you need to stack EM on your Albedo in this scenario. While crystalize shields are no where close to being as powerful as Zhongli's shield or other dedicated shielders' abilites, Albedo's continuous skill procs keep making more and more crystalize shields which you can passively pick up without even going after them with your active character. This setup is quite useful if you run a Keqing + Fischl aggravate team and are struggling to clear content without a healer or shielder (since we don't have a dendro healer). You can of course use a full HP Archaic Petra equipped Zhongli in his place which I've being doing these past two patches and I must say that I'm quite happy with the results because Zhongli's 20% resistance shred and 35% elemental damage bonus through AP crystalize shards put him close to Kazuha's utility while enhancing your team's survivability by a significant margin. Still, if you don't have Zhongli, full EM AP Albedo will do just fine and in the place of Zhongli's 20% res shred, he provides a big 125 EM to your aggravate DPS units on a very low energy burst cast. That's equal to a Sucrose with 600 EM. Now Sucrose is a 4 star and a lot easier to obtain and use but she doesn't provide you with any survival utilities. You can however always be a gigachad and run no healers and shielders and instead try to get 40% elemental damage bonus through Sucrose's C6 and R5 Hakushin Ring in aggravate comps. Her EM will be more realistically in the 400-500 range in this case. TL;DR Albedo can be a very good single Geo unit in aggravate teams if used with 4 piece Archaic Petra set and full EM artifacts. One last point: he will most definitely suck against big boss enemies like the vishaps, no matter his artifact set. Granted even Zhongli takes a hit because if you make him equip the TotM set, his pillar will either break if you don't place it carefully or enemies will simply get out of its pulsing field, making the set's passive buff quite useless.

Ahh, I miss the feeling of being a noob in genshin. Seeing Albedo in banner tickled a little bit of that past feeling when he first released. My feelings of wonder were indeed correct that time. I did indeed encounter lots of different enemies, new areas, new mechanics and more elemental reactions. Yes yes. Hope fulfilled. Although it is still far from over. More stories to be written, yes. But where are those who share the memory?

Unpopular opinion: I prefer his in-game hairstyle over his character art's. It looks tidier, more drip and suits his look better

Dunno if this will help anyone I tried cyno, mc, kuki, and albedo comp in spiral abyss floor 12. Honestly it's not that bad (note: i dont have zhongli) tho not that amazing damage-wise. Albedo provides cyno some protection through the shards, and some more particles (my cyno has 134% er; with just cyno's skill during his burst and albedo's skill can charge cyno's burst up to around 70%, i think). Would i recommend him over fischl or beidou as his electro support/battery? Probably not, but he lets you bring kuki to buff and heal cyno (especially to people like me who doesn't have zhongli and are not that good at dodging). And yes, i am an albedo simp. Ps. I also tried using fischl instead of kuki. The team deals more damage but requires you to be better at dodging (and as i have previously stated, i am not good at it lmao)

not going for him because i dont have spindle :( wasn't playing at the time.. which is unfortunate because i usually just pull characters i like and i love him sm
