I have got an upgrade offer from Lifetme free Regalia to First year free Diners black and thereafter 2nd year onwards a fee of 10k if annual spends are below 5 lakh. Though 5 lakh spend does not seem to be a problem but I am not sure if Diners black is accepted online easily and at all merchant POS. I have heard there is less acceptance of DCB just like Amex cards. Please suggest if i should stick to my lifetime free regalia to take this upgrade to Diners black.

I am going through exactly the same situation. I got upgrade offer to DCB but only first year free. I Heard that DCB is not accepted in many pos. Not sure if it's true

HDFC was emailing and sending notifications to upgrade for last one month but finally i dropped the idea to upgrade. yesterday they revoked the offer so I dont see the upgrade offer anymore. However as soon as they revoked the offer they sent me a credit limit increase offer and have now increased my limit on regalia from 10 lacs to 12.25 lacs. God knows what are they upto.

After what intervals does HDFC bank give limit enhancement and credit card upgrade. Please make a video about this if possible.

Validity of Reward Points of both Infinia and Diners Black card is 3 years.

@@dhawalshah1570 I got diners black as Lifetime free, second annual and monthly milestone benefits available on diners and not Infinia. Even if chargeable spend criteria for annual fee is low as 5lakh compared to Infinia as 10lakhs.

Great, but does HDFC give two credit cards to one person? I wasn’t knowing that.

If I spend approx 2-2.5 lakh in a year for dining, utility bills, insurance and online spends, is this card recommended. Ready to spend the fee if I can get better benefits of it.

For HDFC Diners Black Primary Card holder, International Emergency Medical Insurance covers any medical expenses because of any Bodily Injury or sudden unexpected Sickness only for international travel outside India. Medical expenses incurred due to any pre-existing illness will not be covered.

In Infinia, you get 12500 rp only on paying renewal fee of Rs.14750 (12500+18% gst). In DB, fee is waived of on spending more than 5 lacs. In Infinia, you need to spend 10 lacs for fee waiver. Plus in DB, there are 5-6 additional 10x reward points brands, 2x rp on weekend dining, travel insurance, monthly and annual milestone benefits. These all are not there in Infinia.

In Diners Black, 1 Reward Point is equivalent to 1 Rupee. So, even if you have 10 reward points, you can pay Rs.10 through these reward points and remaining through your credit card or net banking. Upto 70% of your flight ticket cost can be paid through reward points.

No welcome reward points in Diners Black. But, joining fee is waived off if spend 1.5 lacs in first 90 days. In case, you could not spend 1.5 lacs and joining fee is charged, you get 6 free annual memberships (Amazon Prime, Times Prime, MMTBlack, Zomato Pro, Club Marriot, Forbes magazine).

12500 reward points are given in every renewal cycle if you would have to pay the renewal fee. If renewal fee is waived off on meeting Rs.10 lacs spend criteria, then no renewal reward points.

Also apple and Tanishq voucher can be redeemed for Re1 value, so even if spends are less than 10 lakh or even 2 lakhs you will be effectively charged 2250Rs. cheaper than diners black bczin diners black you are bound to spend 5 lakhs for 10k fee waiver or will get memberships only which someone might not require , so in this parameter infinia wins

Great… with regular spend and timely payment you can increase its limit. For Diners Black upgrade, high limit on existing card is required. Around 5 lacs.
