thank you for this, i recently noticed a huge lag in my yt vid exp where it took long to load and then even having trouble writing comments or moving the cursor up or down i did not apply all your methods but did try clearing my history and cookies etc and that did not work but then i noticed yt was working quite fast on another browser i have and figured out that it's because i did not have the add blocker working, i did turn that on and it worked and the speed exp remained the same so i went back to chrome browser and tried disabling 2 out of my 3 add blockers(i should probably only be using one) i have there and finally things were back to normal, funny this problem only started happening a week ago even though i had those add blockers longer than that , but aside from your vid i read that add blockers can slow down yt, anyways i see you mentioned them here as well so thanks ill be sure to use other methods if necessary

My Chrome does not have a Reset and clean up option, only the Reset settings.

Starting in Chrome 111, users will no longer be able to request a Chrome Cleanup Tool scan through Safety Check or leverage the "Reset settings and cleanup" option offered in chrome://settings on Windows.

I cleaned some not too long ago but it was for like the 7 days. My browsing history for all time 19,009 items (More on synced devices) Of course they are a lot of cookies everything. I just hate doing that cause it signs you out websites.

Hey I fixed it !!!! I bought a M2 mac mini and got rid of that horrible Google best thing ever !!!!!

Probably the most rational decision. On the other side: not always available. Using Apple devices is a good and consistent thing till you have hardware failure. Just spent 500 $ for an exchange of broken display in my iPhone 13pro (in Germany).

Some great advice Scott ... (history & cookies in the thousands!) ... but, your last tip (Clean up your computer) wasn't available to me. Using a MacBook Pro ... is that the issue? ... thanks again for all your productivity tips!
