I found that this stretching effect is very much genetics dependent. For example, the Master Kush Auto and other Kush sorts will not stretch at all with extra FR whereas Northern Light stretches as fuck.

Hey professor, I know this is a little off topic from the video but I figured you'd be a great person to ask about this. Do you know any great resources for finding optimal PPM ranges for all nutrients in a good hydroponics fertilizer for cannabis (bonus points if it's in coco coir with the Ca and Mg concentrations). I see wildly ranging ppm ranges, especially for nitrogen and I'm wanting to improve my fertilizer game. Thanks a million and please keep making awesome, science-based grow videos.

In short get a ppm (or EC) tester to find out what you are adding. For Nitrogen aim for 100-120ppm as a starting point. How to get dialed in you may ask, check out this DeBacco University video... kzread.info/dash/bejne/jICcl9yRc9TRp5s.html

I already had a good idea that red and far red wont flip plants. Because if it did, home growers of every experience level would be complaining about it non-stop.

I think this is an over-simplification, it causes photosynthesis and FR is present in sunlight

@@m.streicher8286 What part of what I said is too simple. Excessive FR wont flip a plant to flower. What more do you want out of that.

Be careful with the amount of red light for sure.
