Is Fall coming early in Wisconsin?

Ойын-сауық

Welcome back to another video! In this episode, we travel to Northern Wisconsin in our Scout Kenai Truck Camper and do some camping, while trying to find some Elk to photograph. Unfortunately, we do not find any elk, but make the most of it by enjoying some camping and relaxation! It seems that fall is coming earlier than normal, and the north woods were just full of gorgeous fall color! Follow along as we Camp, make some food, overland, and fail to find some animals.

Great video as always. Too bad you came up empty, maybe next time. Like you said, 500 elk at the most. Big area, small herd. Thank you for keeping us in the loop with your adventures.

Another great video! I feel your pain being a wildlife photographer based out of Wisconsin as well, it is sometimes hard to watch people on youtube seeing everything and then go out and see nothing. Keep up the great work and it will pay off!

Thank you! Its a F350. You only need RV plates in some states. Here in Wisconsin, I do not. I would only need one if I had an axel, and since its considered "cargo", I don't.

Hello Josh. I am a subscriber to your KZread channel. Your channel is very informative and excellent!! Thank you for the content. I have a question for you. I have a Canon 90D camera and I am getting more into wildlife photography (in part thanks you). When I shoot wildlife photography (example: a bird sitting still on a branch) I am typically in aperture priority mode, AI Servo, and in continuous drive mode. When I am using the LCD display (Live View) on the camera I can move the “focus point” (I typically use “1-point AF) around the screen by using the joystick on the back of the camera but when I use the “optical focus” (instead of the LCD display) I am unable to move the “focus point” arounds the screen by using the joystick on the back of the camera. Am I am missing something? Also, what the typical steps you use (Live View and/or Optical Focus) when focusing prior to taking a photo?

Hi Michael, thanks so much for being a subscriber! All of your settings sound great, and you are set up for success! What your describing is just the issue of switching between Live view and the viewfinder. When you are looking through the viewfinder, you usually need to hit the "auto focus point selection" button. Its usually the farthest right button on the back of the camera. It has 5 dots arranged in a "+" pattern. You usually need to hit that button, to make the joystick work. Ive never had a 90D, but generally they are all set up the same. You can also go into custom functions, and find the "custom button" section, and select the joystick, and set it to "direct AF point selection" or something like that. As far as what I do, its a little bit different because I use mirrorless (its all live view), but when I had DSLRs, I usually would try and use the viewfinder for photos, and live view if I was shooting video. The auto focus is much better when live view is disabled on DSLR's.
