❓ What do YOU think, is driving rideshare and/or food delivery worth it for a short time or longer term? Let us know 👇 👉 For "sick" bags mentioned in video: amzn.to/3Umkbbg
I did it full time for 8months and what ima say this was the best thing I done I quit my job in tried it most people fear job security they get comfortable working a job I did Lyft in was able to save up quicker for my trucking company, people say it’s no benefits in Lyft well 😂 the goal is to save your money and gone invest it
Bro, I've been driving full time for 5 years. I don't take time off. I also don't drive nights. I saved over 100k between '20 and '21. Right now its tough. Upfront pricing is killing us! I have more expenses than I can actually deduct, but I maximize my deductions. I don't track miles.
@Therideshareguy

Why don't you track miles?
@mattwernecke2342

@@Therideshareguy I drive more miles than I can actually deduct. Every 3 weeks or so, my mileage is updated on the service record documentation at time of oil change. This service also checks alignment and rotates tires. I did have Mile IQ, but really never used it. I have not had any issues yet.

This is the season for the reason to make money. Today total for five hours $ 158 including tips.I can only do it part time due to health reasons and it is enough for me. I think you have considered the state you are in and of course you have to considered federal and state taxes in certain states and gas prices in that state. Gas prices in North is higher than in South. Just take a trip to that state and drive to see what you can make. The more drivers in the state the less rides you may receive . Be safe out there.

I’ve been driving for two months, and I’m having too much fun to consider looking for a “better” job. I also know that this could change at any time, where I could be forced to go back to a W2 job. As of right now, I have no intention of going back.
It’s actually worth it if you are on Multiple gig apps U get bank I work full time Lyft part time doordash part time Uber eats I’m also a private chauffeur and I hate working regular job I like being my own boss

Do whatever the heck you want to do. Be disciplined and drive, but be sure to balance. 😊
It all depends on your lifestyle.
It is worth it driving full-time my opinion
PART TIME FOLKS!!! Use the bonuses to your advantage. Get in and get out.
Don’t drive on base pay drive only where they give out weekly bonuses
Not anymore. If you work 8 hours at $20 you make $160 or some $800 a week for 40 hours. You have to work double at Uber to make same after cost. Its better to work a regular job 40 hours and then do Uber in the evening or weekends.
Driving part-time or full-time really depends on where you reside. For example, I live in the tri-county area of Charleston, SC, and I retired two years ago and have had over 3,000 customers between Uber and Lyft. I average $25 to $45 per/hour when I calculate my total income for each day that I drive. My personal annual rideshare income is $20,000 which is what I'm allowed to make when it comes to IRS retirement income caps. There are drivers here who drive full-time on both apps and make $60,000 to over $100,000 a year! Now, these drivers are driving on both Uber and Lyft apps and some are driving 90 hours a week! That's a lot of driving but the point is you can make some serious income depending on your LOCATION. 🤗
I do appreciate your videos. Thanks!

@@tamaramillyard2048rent a car to drive? how does that workout with paying for the car as well.
So I've been doing ride share full time for 25 consecutive months. At one point I was making good money. Much of this year not so much. Hardly see any bonus $. Or as I see it...hazard pay. This job is hazardous. That was realized to me last weekend. I had a lady grossly smash into my Lyft car last weekend. Fucking me out of work...still. It's been over a week and I still can't drive for Lyft at the moment because of this ill process. The shitty timing...my car has been out of comish for the last couple months. With all this macro bullshit it has been IMPOSSIBLE to save money. Shittiest timing ever ☹️ Outside all this bullshit I've really enjoyed driving. Done over 7000 rides on Lyft. Over 120k miles. Lots of good conversations, some pretty powerful. I'm a recovering alcoholic. So I HAVE been able to help a few ppl along this journey 🤘. These business models are highly flawed. We need someone like Elon to fix em. Cause John & Logan, the co-founders aren't doing this platform justice 😶.

Your car insurance will go up too, no matter who is at fault. I hope you get to move on from RIdeshare and find a better career. I'm still looking with no success. But I can't afford to go back to Uber, never again.
Nope nope nope
It's definitely doable but I think it's harder on the body than the car. At 57 I tell people it's a young person's game.
with this new upfront pricing, i have never declined so many trips, the offers are crap! to my bay area drivers are you going to accept offer 8.85 dollars going from berkeley to san francisco? basically uber is stealing a tank of gas if you drive a full day.
I also think that it's doable depending on your financial situation. For instance, if you are living on your parents or Friends couch/basement or you have super cheap rent and no car payment then yes I feel that it is doable. But if you have rent and a car payment and kids to feed and credit card bills and etc, then it becomes very difficult and you will start to make desperate decisions such as taking $3 rides and Etc. For Vegas, because it's so expensive I still don't think it's doable unless the other items apply where you don't have a huge rent and no car payment. I would say look at your financial situation very hard before you decide to do full-time with rideshare or delivery.

Yes. It truly depends on everyone's personal situation.
Worth it is subjective. I don't think full time uber is worth it. Ironically however it's a fantastic part time gig. When u can pick and chose times and trips part time is totally worth it. 👌 I make $ 50 a day and stop. Goal is 1k a month Xtra income.
is doordashed about 40-50 hours a week for 3 months and it totally ruined my back health only now about 4-5months later do i feel 99% i dont know how anyone could do this full time unless you like living in pain
It’s a quick answer: No! Being independent yes. Uber and Lyft if you and your car wanna be screwed.
Thank you for the advise. I have started a black car service in Charlotte. Why did you leave? How can I get approved to drive in SC also? Jeff
Is it worth it if one must rent a car? Thanks for the info.
Everyone who thinks it’s bad is probably working the wrong market or expecting it to be easy. Nobody said it was easy! Do research, rent a car from HyreCar or Hertz
I like upfront earnings cuz it lets me see the ride, if it makes sense
6.3 years fulltime driver for lyft
If you don't have another gig you have to really consider it. The vehicles gas, tires, oil changes and other maintenance (sometimes pricey) is a deterrent. If you own your vehicle is definitely helpful. I'm finally in a position to use Lyft as a secondary income. I feel better not having to drive my car every day and not buying gas as much.

This is what a lot of people don't consider. All they ever talk about is fuel cost. What a lot of people don't talk about are the other crucial points such as what you've mentioned. Maintenance cost, depreciation, and downtime if the car goes in for repair. If you buy a brand new car and are making payments on it. Driving full time probably isn't the best idea.
Never knew u used to live here in charlotte, NC! I'm out here every weekend!

How much is great money?
Hell naw it’s not worth it… the bonus/quests opportunities have completely dwindled in the DC market down to nothing! Who the hell is motivated to do 50 trips for ten additional dollars???!!! Give me a break!
It is worth it, depending on which country you're or found yourself
The best a full-time job with benefits and paid time off and ride share on the side.
If you like flexible schedule then i say yes. You have to work it like a full day like a job. Multi app is key.
Uber and lyft are not pricing long distance rides fairly and definitely not using common sense when doing it. I saw an offer on lyft for a ride from Scotia ny to Manhattan NYC. It was 161 miles for $82 . How stupid are they? It's roughly $30 in tolls one way so probably $50 total to come back plus about $60 in gas. That's approximately $110 roughly for a round trip. You're definitely not making any money whatsoever.
I not do food delivery cause sttuck me in when never signed up took 3 months get out platform n/a and 5 year lyft driver who sign up Uber Hub. Driving Pets Green good ..
No I work part-time for six years. Made over 90k with both jobs a year..
Upside stoke my money. I put $10 toward Starbucks from upside and never saw that money again. Took $10 out of my upside and none in Starbucks app
Any DFW Uber drivers full time in here? I have been part time for two years I want to move to full time is it good?

Wouldn't it be great if Uber could not deactivate a driver without a driver at least being asked what happened. No unjust deactivations
It's my main source but not meeting my income requirements. I tell someone you best be able to flexible. It changes alott..It changed on upfront pricing amount you make . Always have multi platforms. Cause lyft likes to take app down for inspection over weekend and you have one booked for next week . Screwy

No! You should have it as a part anytime income! It’s great when you have two people in the household working as w-2 employee! Most people don’t know how to do it!
Food delivery in my area is dead
Depends on what you call full time…
NO, My income last year was %25 of what the customer paid. I track every ride. Uber generally takes 53% and I am seeing more than 30% of my ride offers are under $14 an hour lately. During a HUGE festival here... there were almost no surges. They way they handle riders and pickups is absurd... (they let riders get rides where the streets are closed.) SO you sit in traffic trying to get there. They will not walk to where you can pick them up... and you cannot cancel because you cannot get to the pickup area. Airport rides are 1/2 of what they used to be or less. Seeing $60 rides that are 111 miles (actually 222 miles because they are out of state) 17 mile pickups for a 1 mile ride... There are more ways for them to take you on a ride. It has been bad. With College getting out, it is going to start to get a bit dangerous... for $13 an hour it is not worth it. I work in Charlotte NC.
If Uber and lyft weren't taking so much fees out it would be even better
Should do it 50 / 50.
No way it is. It used to be though. I used to make $300-450 a day in 7-10 hours. Now? Not so much since Labor Day when they slashed the bonuses. When #Wridz and Empower Rides gets in more cities and more popular, it might become worth it again b/c with them, you are making 100% of the ride fare amount...
Where are all the uber drivers (the one's without rentals)? Most of them are gone, quit or bankrupted. Traffic tickets, insurance cost, maintenance cost, fuel cost, increasing fees, decreasing rates. The more you drive, the more money you have to dump into the car. Cmon, working at Mcdonald's is a better alternative than doing Uber, because at least I'll have an operational car with fewer miles on it, lower insurance cost, and less depreciation.
I’m joining Uber with a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Sport-Smoke grey (Uber XL) & 2021 Cadillac Escalade -black ESV premium platinum sport (Uber Black/Lux) in Los Angeles Ca. Any advice?
Well I make 200 a day well 170 after taxes only 850 a week after making 1000 dollars

It’s definitely not worth anymore Uber and Lyft pricing benefits the companies not the drivers
The background music is very distracting
Rideshare business is for part timers , i learnt from my mistake, driving for uber fulltime. There is no guarantee that you'll be driving tomorrow. These people uses the technology tools to avenge you .
It's good money you can make a $100000 a year and pay all of your bills you won't get rich but it's more money than the average job
I should have went part time last yesr.
No. Eventually, your expenses will outpace your income. RIdeshare is always good in your first year or two with a new car, and new insurance. But repairs and operational costs will eventually put you out of business. It's something that you don't want to do long term. It's not just repairs, too. Your car insurance will go up the more you drive. I know an Uber driver that pays $1200 a month in car insurance. She's been doing Uber full-time for 6 years. And you know, that's why I think Uber wants to speed up their self-driving research. Uber has bankrupted a lot of drivers, and eventually there will be no one to do the driving. Uber is similar to a ponzi scheme, you need more and more drivers to keep the scheme going.
The main reason i feel uber and lyft drivers no longer make good money, is because Uber and lyft are cheating the drivers out of the fair share of the ride fee. These rideshare platforms are taking at least 50% of our earnings. Sometimes more. Don't believe ? Ask your passengers
@ItsKO2U
4 ай бұрын
Yea I totally agree, I’ll ask my passengers how much they are paying for a ride to see if I’m getting the bigger chunk of the fare and sometimes yes and sometimes and sometimes some don’t even be worth taking especially if they are long a 45min ride and you get only like $12-15 is trash in Chicago especially around rush hours and the customer may have paid like $30-$40 for the ride. I’m only 3 months in and I see the highs and lows already and I drive full time.

I would honestly rather become a career criminal then drive rideshare full-time ever again.
