    Just got on with Crete. Currently on the Cheyenne Wal mart account. It’s true what another driver said. If you tell them your willing to run reefer and dry they will give you more work.

    Screw the critics/trolls. Most are just miserable and hate themselves. They feel better when they bash someone else. It's a character flaw.

    What do you think your D&H percentage was at Millis in comparisson? I was told by the recruiter it was 50/50 prior to coming on. I haven't done the math yet, but it "feels" like it's been more like 25-35% D&H from my experience. Yes, D&H is quicker, but my main time snag is the actual appointments for live loads/unloads. A lot of time you are made to wait around a long time because you can actually get to the receiver/shipper much quicker than the appointment time so many hours are wasted waiting on appointments, not so much the actual load/unload times. The 24 hour window D&H are best to me simply because you can drop it as soon as you can get it there and be rolling on the next load. Will power wise, I think I could roll 10-11 hours a day, do a reset and get more miles in, but I don't hardly get resets because I can't burn enough time to need one. It's the appointments that limit my ability to drive out my clock, get things moving quicker and get more miles.

    From my personal experience with millis I think the drop and hook rate was less than 50% for sure. But yea I agree with you having open windows to deliver and pick up really helps you to be much more productive, along with more drop and hook.

    I drive for crete and I have never been micro managed. I will go a month sometimes and never talk to nobody. I do my job. They don't mess with me and I don't mess with them.

    I’ve been with Shaffer trucking in Crete carrier for seven years I work on the ICL container fleet in Chester Pennsylvania I told myself when I started with Crete I was going to retire from here because they just want to pay you the money you’re owed

    Did they finally get a scale bypass system? When I worked there in 18-19 they didn’t have anything like that. I made great money at Crete on the Shaffer side. They just had a hard time getting me home every weekend like I was promised. Other than that they’re great.

    Hey just subscribed love the attitude about what other people think about a company. I was the same way when I drove for Maverick. I loved Maverick, loved the atmosphere, and loved the team I worked with. Left because of issues with HR over an injury. Would go back and still recommend them to people who want a good flatbed company. I am interested in Crete. Tell me about there fueling policies. On your live load and unload appointments, do they give you enough time to get there? Do they give you enough time to get there early if you can?

  • @TheLivingFreedChannel

    @TheLivingFreedChannel

    Жыл бұрын

    They give you plenty of time to make pick up and delivery. They send you the load to approve before you get dispatched on it and if you feel that you can’t make the pick up or delivery in time you can deny the load and they will send you another one. The fuel policy is they would like you to be 100% compliant which is easy. And if you decide to go a different route due to weather then you can send a manual fuel request. Thanks for watching sir!

    Been with them 16 years OTR. I average 3200 miles a week. If you run lazy, they'll run you that way. If you like to make the most of your logs (legally) and get to your deliveries early, they'll give you all the miles you can legally handle.
