@@georgehaigh2276 吃苦是一方面。主要是现代城市社会，诱惑和享受太多太丰富，所以为养孩子付出的机会成本太高。过去70年代前大家都苦，但是经济也不繁荣，极少人会出城市旅游，晚上下班后能玩的项目也不多。生养孩子其实牺牲的享受不多。带不带孩子生活娱乐方面差别不大。

I lived in Shanghai in 2004, it was surprisingly safe. I did solo travels in China from that on and was never once felt unsafe. Would really like to visit China again after the pandemic.

04年上海是安全的，上海治安一直不错，但是北方城市和福建和广东就不行了，感觉08年后就开始变好了，后来打黑后，治安完全就是现在这样子的！

Hangzhou is wonderful! when i visited i rented a city bike and cycled all around the lake, haha it was tiring but the views were great!💞 i lived for years in Qingdao amd always felt super safe, during nightime and daytime 😊

actually，the thriving night market is a special feature of China，you can find various delicaies that can not meet daytime there，in my hometown，some night markets even open until 3：00 am in the summer

Been to Hangzhou one time, love and miss the grandma restaurant, found it accidentally and love it so much, awesome food and place. A lot of nice historical places in Hangzhou, and best of it, all of them are free to visit for public. As a child, I watched Legend of White snake on tv. While in Hangzhou, I visited the Leifeng pagoda, which later I found out that it is the historical place that has ties to White snake legend. I didn't even know the name of the pagoda when I went inside it. I just thought it was ordinary pagoda. I just realized it when I was inside the pagoda and see all the artworks depicting White Snake Legend. Then it hit me, could I be inside the legendary Leifeng pagoda? LMAO.

@@inkbold8511 there is also a temple for Yue Fei, the famous Song Dynasty hero. Practically almost all Chinese know about him. Again, I went to his temple accidentally while walking around Xihu lake. I just followed the crowd, LOL. Again, as a child, I used to watch the tv serial and read novels that has him inside it.Reflecting back, I should have read more about Hangzhou before I went there, LMAO. Seriously, this city is surprisingly has so many historical sites.

chinese and italians are very similar. italians like to wrap their furniture in plastic to maintain the newness of things. my grandparents wrapped the remote controls in plastic to keep them new and clean :D

The amount of times I saw ebikes where people had left their keys in whilst they'd gone shopping was unreal. No problem giving my phone to a stranger in the. Middle of the night to direct a didi driver. Walk home alone from the cinema under a bridge at midnight by myself, no sweat. This is real freedom.

That's because ebikes have GPS and can be locked remotely if stolen. And it's worthless since it's everywhere and can be rented for few rmb.

Tho, I 100% agree China is a safe place, but handover my phone for strangers to use is where a I draw the line. That's how some scammers do to read off your cell phone sim card number , so later they can clone your sim and unlock your wechat.
