Is China Really a Threat? Noam Chomsky Slams Biden For Increasingly Provocative Actions in Region

We feature an excerpt from our recent interview with world-renowned scholar and political dissident Noam Chomsky about how the Biden administration is continuing a reckless foreign policy, despite taking a softer tone than the Trump administration. “The trajectory is not optimistic,” Chomsky says. “The worst case is the increasing provocative actions towards China. That’s very dangerous.” Chomsky will join us on our 25th anniversary online celebration on the evening of December 7.

The world knows that the US spends more on military than the next 10 major spenders. Some say if you add the black operations, the amount becomes twice the reported budget. There are $trillions missing from past spending. 1000 Auditors gave up because they could not make any sense of where the money has gone in the past. All of this is documented. In addition, Reagan kept NATO while USSR dissolved the Warsaw Pact after the accord with Gorbachev. NATO expanded against verbal promises to the Russian border and now is threatening to mount hypersonic missiles next to it in Ukraine and elsewhere. China is encircled by bases in Japan, Philippines, Australia, Guam, and many other places. The US is accusing it of genocide in Xingjian...while the world knows of what it did to the red, black and brown man and is still doing it to them. If I were running Russia or China, I would be shaking in my boots and would be mad as hell because I will be forced to divert my much needed resources to keep up with finding ways to defend myself from the biggest military machine on the planet and its little buddies (hyenas following the lion). Yet, China and Russia are portrayed as the reason for the bloated, unaccounted, and never-ending bottomless US military spending and expansionism. It is just a shell game to transfer funds from the US civilian economy to its military hawks who always full the rabbit of definding us from danger. Where was the $trillions machine on 911? What did Bush and Dick do with this mighty machine? What did it accomplish in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Vietnam, etc.? We need to learn from others that wars are mostly economic. A nation which neglects its internal problems and civilian needs with large numbers of people unhappy with the way things are done will not survive very long. We came very close to that on Jan 6th when a demagogue tried to take over and run the US aground in a very short time leading to the end of life in a war with everyone. It was a miracle that did not happen. The unhappiness lingers and the problems remains unsolved. It is time to reassess, regroup, revise and revitalize...BUILD BACK BETTER, not chase the same wild rabbits.

In real-time you can see the current catastrophe of climate change and denial. You can imagine the thinking of US military planners. Because they use technology and robotics in war, the tech advanced countries such as Iran, Russia and China are most feared. No matter how poor and hungry your nation is, it will only be feared if it becomes wealthy and adversarial. Again these are idiotic ways to plan for the future but it is legacy and current paradigm.

If these aren't enough to demonstrate the world who is the threat to humanity, then I lost translation of humanity. The world desperately need a second power to balance the dictatorship that often use the controlled medias to accuse their counterpart to be one. Big note to take, the old Chinese empire and New PRC managed to flourish without invading neighbours or other continents, PRC became world 2nd economy without a single shot fired beyond its border in context of invasion, ALBERT we all knew how Britain & USA obtain their wealth!!!

Australia's anti China sentiments has a more racial tone than the US (though it's not to say it doesn't exist, it's just more obvious that's the case with Australia). Besides that, the Aussie government wants to be the boss of the South Pacific, using it's alliance with the US as a cover. However, they think China is in its way due to that country's growing relationship with all the other nations around the South Pacific region. The US main problem is that it's an declining Empire due to overexertion...something that all great powers go through (even in China's past with their multiple golden dynasty ages). No matter how much push against China the Biden administration and whoever is president next does, they can't keep ignoring the pressing domestic issues. It's gonna have an impact and we're not gonna maintain this hegemony forever. Best thing to do is to accept reality, do what's needed to be done at home instead of overseas...and work on leading America to the next post-Hegemon phase. America can be great without needing to be an Empire.

We cant suggest that Putin can be punished for war crimes when Bush and Blair were not.
