I'm going to call that last team The Birds, since they have bird theming or a bird as part of their kit. Xianyun is a bird, Fischl got the bird summon, Candace's burst is based on wagtails, a type of bird. And since Furina looks like a rooster she fits!

IMHO Birdsquad is Diluc Overload Plunge: Diluc (phoenix), Sara, Fischl, Xianyun. Hopefully we get another more directly "bird" character eventually.

I love your dedication to very non-meta teams and show how good they are even if it is unconventional.

Yay Candace! I like your dedication to playing unusual teams and your experimentations to figure out something reasonable/practical within the constraints you give yourself.

Thankfully this build didn’t take too much investment

I play the same team with Dehya instead of Fischl. Dehya has a 4pc Golden Troupe (but VG will probably work well too if you have a decent set) with EM Sands. Of course Candace doesn't trigger vapes but Dehya does ~30K vapes from offield while also protects via dmg and interruption resistance. The most important thing, however, is that Candace and Dehya synergy feel finally good together on this particular team.

fischl is insane in electrocharged. i was shocked (hehe) when i was fighting the drake with neuvillette and fischl and its electro res went up. also, im curious to see how plunging will benefit Kaveh's dendro app since he's a notoriously bad dendro driver, even though thats his intended role

Yeah Fischl singlehandedly makes electrocharged a thing. I want to try Kaveh eventually too, unfortunately he is not leveled though so it may be a while

I'm just happy to see Candace! Edit - as a Candace main it just makes me happy she's at least acknowledged here. I have Xinqu but I also don't use him not because I heavily dislike him but I just like Candace more! I understand she's a little awkward but I love playing her especially with her counter mechanic! Oh my god I adore it! I have her as a dps with Miya (Yomiya) Xinyan and Yao and believe it or not they do well at least in my opinion

im not a fan of silly meme builds myself, but seeing you experimenting with teams is actually super nice :)

If playing c6 candace with furina, you could on field furina to make use of candace c6 and also a reason to use fontaine craftable sword that looks good on her but usually bad stat wise.

If only Candace's buff was a normal attack AND plunge dmg. Then she could've been an actual meaningful option ovwr others. Hyrdo plunges still fun in concept though.

Love your stuff! I'm currently investing resources into my Candace, going for a nymph's dream set. Im thinking of a burgeon team if I can get nahida.

Plz try dehya or xinyan next lmaoo. They're pretty on par with diluc but have extra interruption resistance

Xiao (on vv) fischl Furina and xianyun is the best plunge experience ever

Candace vape work great with Xianyun but sadly her team is as per usual: Xianyun, Furina, Bennett C6. Yes you can do Bennett, Xiangling, Xianyun instead to do forward vape, the dmg isn't that great since you have to put ton of ER and not having Furina in your party. You can do other variation too like non vape, bloom mixup etc but nothing come close to normal vape plunge like any melee chara/pyro catalyst, you can easily get 130-200k using 4 star weapon. That said outside of abyss 12 and even in abyss 12 you can get enough DPS to pass it with all kind of Candace+Xianyun team, just they might take more effort and longer clear time

i havent tested it yet but can candace be used with gaming? i dont have c6 bennett so i was thinking maybe candace could make gaming apply hydro with his normal attacks so then his plunge attack vaporizes?

Is the Fontaine craftable polearm 4 star bis for Candace now (f2p)?

Soluna, do you think that with the release of Sigewine as an electrically charged buff character, Candace could have an improvement in the meta? By the way, I liked the team in the video I found it strangely satisfying, as did the yao yao + Candace team-ups.

Hmm, I dunno what exactly Sigewinnes kit works need to look like for that, but I’d be down for a unit that strengthens electro charged

I wonder if a hybrid burgeon team could work with candace, nahida, xianyun, xiangling. put nahida on fav xianyun with fav or prototype for team ER. just assuming nahida and xiangling have enough app to overpower her slower app with the plunges. letting you forward vape candace on burning and maybe get the occasional bloom for xiangling to burgeon. I don't have the artifacts weapons or candace cons to test it myself sadly. because this game hates me and only gives me 4 stars I despise and never want to use.

I found the best plunge Candace to be pyro Candace with C6 Bennet and Furina. Unfortunately, you can do that with basically any melee character. Though in that team Candace did more than just plunges as you start the rotation with her burst and do normal attacks while going through skills and bursts and with Furina her burst and C6 hurts even with a pyro goblet. But yeah, unfortunately she doesn't really provide anything that meaningful to the team. Just plunge with Bennet himself instead, or with some claymore. And unless we get a character that can provide enough pyro so that both Candace's plunges and Furina's skill can vape it I don't think that that's gonna change.

Yeah doing pyro plunges unless there is some kind of specific plunge synergy will be my last resort to make use of on fielding a character. I tried to maximize the use of Candace giving herself a hydro infusion, which I think worked really well and was fun for electro charged.

0:31 so hydro vape doesn't trigger often enough to be used with plunge? because it gives x2 damage bonus compared to pyro vape x1.5 or is it hard to get this much pyro application? another thing the hydro infusion works for other characters so you can use a claymore character to get even more plunge dmg...

No, its mostly the energy issues on Candace and the fact that it was a Xiangling/Bennett team I didnt want to play with more, plus not being able to use MH (I wouldnt actually get the 100k you saw in footage since that was on the MH build)

Can you try Chongyun next?

Not that much more. Its worth doing eventually if I played it a ton, but it wont meaningfully change what you see for the overall team dmg. Cloud Retainers buff does not scale up based on Candaces attack or multipliers. Her buff only increases by Candaces dmg% and crit (or EM if this was Vape Candace). So the relative gain from leveling talents up more is quite small and not worth the resources for me unless Im playing the team a lot

I've been enjoying watching your content, and you have inspired me to build my Candance. I love your creativity in team building and making unconventional characters powerful, but the word "butthole" makes me CRINGE SO HARD!

This man is singlehandedly trying to redeem this god awful kit lol. I love it so much dude. I have the same kind of energy, building up units that aren't "meant to be dps units" like Faruzan as a main dps and let me tell you: it's stupidly powerful. Try main dps Faruzan. I use her with Furina to enable Mare Hunter, Zhongli for shields, and Bennett. I use Lyney's bow, or Polar star on her and it slaps lol. I'm going to try DPS Lynette and building Heizou up now that i have C6 Faruzan.

it's good but tbh, if she's not built support, she's a lack luster unless you brute force abyss because, her ER, her HP, her Damage could never......... be balance. The team also is energy hungry.

most chars in genshin are copy/paste its possible that xiangling has the same plunge dmg as candace or even yaoyao has the same sometimes they have same plunge dmg as a 5 star as well hoyo really got lazy with this I'll tell you a funfact while I'm writing this, unrelated to the video. Sayu a character no one probably really uses, has a higher base attack than itto, who is a dps lol.

Yeah the only difference with Candace is that she can give herself a hydro infusion which makes her a bit more unique in that regard. Is it fundamentally that different from using them hydro catalyst units as a plunge DPS? Nah, not really, but there is minor things unique to Candace like the defensive utility of her shield. For me, I just like having different ways to play the characters I enjoy at the end of the day. So the plunge multipliers generally being the same across most weapon types doesn’t matter much to me, as it comes down to the minor differences of how things feel to play more than anything else (if I’m able to clear the content anyways)
