As a BF veteran since waiting in line for the release of BF1942 on PC in 2002; Let me tell you, _no one_ thinks launching BF3 from a stupid web browser was a good idea. I'm still to this day dumbfounded how DICE/EA ever thought that was a smart thing to do.

Dude, I miss this game so much, lol the soldiers reactions when engaging or being engaged was so crazy and realistic to me

The was Peak Dice/Battlefield. You've got to remember the team was coming off of the massive success of Battlefield Bad Company 2 and most of its new ideas made it into BF3. The Traditional Battlefield formula combined with the ideas of Bad Company = one of the greatest games ever made. It's only weakness was the incredibly stupid server-browser that was constantly glitching and crashing.

To this day this game is absolutely breathtaking, played this back when i played on ps3 so didn’t get the full pc experience but the game still was amazing. The maps, gunplay and madness were absolutely epic. Think we need a remaster.

Some days are better than most

This game is somewhat alive on Xbox. Not too many players but it’s still an amazing game. I think it’s better than Bf4 & I love Bf4. Bf3 just feels grittier & a bit more realistic to me. I played Bf3 a lot on Ps3 I just forgot how amazing that game was. I’m enjoying it on my One X. It plays a lot smoother .

I have never read a truer sentence

I remember being in middle school when the beta came out and how the beta alone, with one map, suddenly dominated everyone's playing habits. After the full release my friends talked about the whacky stuff we saw and experienced in-game almost everyday in homeroom. It felt like BF3 together with Halo Reach filled out everything you could possibly want from multiplayer shooters at the time, with BF3 being more anxious and adrenaline filled while Reach was old enough at that point to have a bunch of bizarre but fun community made custom game modes. All that and not even mentioning that Skyrim came out a month after BF3 released, it kind of felt like all of your needs were met by these game studios, and I don't think I've felt that way about a games release year ever since.

Playing BF3 for the first time was a rush for sure.

Loved playing this game and playing BF4 during 2048 hype was some of the most satisfying and immersive gameplay in multiplayer period.

The jet combat in bf3 is the since I think it was the last bf3 game that didn't have sky boundaries

The servers arent region lock on xbox 360, i know that because the only good ping for me on Latam was playing on german servers (for some reason lol) i would get 250 on US and 110 on Germany. I played 'till 2019 online on 360, good to see there still some guys out there.

I picked up the 360 version for the campaign last year since i was feeling cod fatigue at the time, the game is solid once you get used to the controls, i havent tried the online multiplayer yet though

Like I said in the video the multiplayer portion is still amazing today funny enough, I would suggest you to try it out soon as it does feel like it’s fallen into its final group of players left

10/10 still better than 2042 and cod mw3 2023. Planning on buying the pc version first chance I get man.

After bc2, bf3 is the goat of multiplayer shooters imo. You could add OG mw2 to this list too

I first time played battlefield 3 around one year after its release I had weak pc, on lowest settings I had around 20 fps and i had really bad internet as well, but man the game had that sandbox vibe back then, people were f around and finding out doing random stuff. Current experience in that game is completely different, people are playing only optimized meta builds only, everyone become sweats just grinding kills the same way for past 13 years over and over. BF3 really become unfamiliar place now.

A good player never complains about the weapons he has to use . Good player's can beast with any weapons . Get good

I can say that the ps3 still alive, almost every weekend there's at least 4 full servers and another 5 with decent amount of players

To make the perfect battlefield dice needs to Take bf1s atmosphere/ map layout Bfv movement and gun play Bf3/bf4 guns customization time period BF Bad company 2s maps destruction and soldier dialogue Combine all of those and make a game

BF3 was the last game I felt like multiplayer shined. Helldivers 2 is the game that does it best now. No other game since BF3 has ever given me this feeling.

Meh. Helldivers 2 has real no “game” to it. It’s got like 8 different missions you do over and over again. And after you get all the guns and attachments there’s nothing to do as pve is pointless if there’s no reason to do it

Helldivers was fun for a month but like most PVE coop games, it got boring. BF3 was and still is truly timeless. For some reason new games just don't reach the same levels. Apparently BF6 is gonna return to classic BF gameplay but only time will tell...

@@Teddingtin doubtful and yes. once you unlock everything in helldivers the game is basically done. why keep playing? bf3 was basically endless because of how long it took to get level 100 colonel. but it seems most games dont want to add unlocks or dont see the benefit of having them. which is odd because its seems like only a person who has never played a game would not see that

If anybody is wondering about BF4, it's the exact same experience. PC BF4 is borderline unplayable on PC due to UCAV trolls dedicating their entire playtime to trolling the other team, sweats that treat the game like a championship and frustrating map voting moments. Console BF4 is great despite the low FOV and resolution. Its fun with no trolls and sweats and is exactly how I remember it 10 years ago. PC versions of BF3 and 4 are simply not worth it. PS4 and Xbox one have populated servers all day too.

you can still find a healthy population in Europe and North American regions servers

I want to play BF3 on my ps5. Can’t believe they don’t have it available. 🤬

I wish I could play Rush on Back to Karkand maps, or consistently find Armored Kill maps. Some of my best gaming memories. I also hate myself a bit for underappreciating it during it's release. I mean, I liked it, but I was too blinded by MW3 and thought BF3 is overrated...I used to be a bit dumb :v

I have server on PS3 since 2022 and still running I hope the servers not shutdown :( EA shutdown Euorpe servers but USA servers are working and laggy

I miss this type of battlefield, Dice has a winning model right here. Battlebit Remastereed is crazy fun cause it basic mechanics like BF3, no specialists etc. Dice needs to make a combination of the two games and people will flood it

While I love going back to this game every few months because it's the best in the franchise IMO, the people who never left and have just gotten insane game sense for a game that was never meant to be alive this long do kind of ruin it at times. Then again, they are the main reason why there are still servers available so the positives outweigh the negatives I guess. Tried to get some CoD friends into this classic game though (and BF4) and they just didn't get it. They saw that it was great when they got a couple kills but its impossible for them to go up against these people who never moved on to other games. If only they were there playing the BF3 beta back on PS3! For some reason, I never have this issue when I boot up CS Source for some lighthearted deathmatch fun on Office or something. Theres still a ton of CSS players, maybe none of the sweats play DM anymore who knows, but I never feel outgunned going back to that game. Also, I do appreciate how BF3 gives you the legendary M16A3 to start at least on US for medics. That helps noobs a ton.

You see that’s funny, I didn’t play it back in the day because I was playing MW3 so any time I played the game I always felt like I was wrongfully getting outgunned, I myself also made my friends play all the battlefield games so they can decide what’s good or not and when it came to Bf4 they had the same complaints I had for bf3 while I didn’t felt at all like them and always had so much fun BECAUSE I played the game countless of hours back in the day, it’s funny what nostalgia can do to the mind lmaoo

This is one of the best games of all time, My personal fave FPS ever made. This was before pay to win crap and sbmm ruining games.

Lots of sweats and cheats on PC rn, but the lobbies are full (and mostly German(?)). Admins do pretty good to balance when paying attention.

Cut part of the video actually, the point of the part was to say that it is possible to play but generally don’t want advacate to switch from Linux to windows on the steam deck since every other Bf works perfectly on steam deck

Try to delete both the game but everything relating to the EA app off of your Pc then do a fresh reinstall of everything

First time battlefield 3 player here. I'm going to just say this right now for those of you who want to try it for the very first time, if you're on Xbox that is. Just fucking by the a pass and do not buy the actual game that's already dying. Unless you actually don't mind cleaning the co-op and the campaign. But from what I checked it doesn't support local place, but then again nobody's on split screen anymore. And if you genuinely care about being preservation and this is assuming that let's say they erase battlefield 3 from the storefront like they did bad company wanted to, that you actually get to keep your game and there's no bulshit DRM. If that isn't something you do care about them by all means have at it. Spend your money on it when there is a deal. Preserve that game until it becomes the only rom left. Before a game that's already dying it's not worth it. And for a game that the fan base claims is the best in the franchise, is that was true they would have done gone back to it. When it's literally available on the AAA pass if they didn't want to purchase it again. Which would be better for them to do if they don't want to keep paying for the pass in the long term. My personal experience, well it was very short cuz I can barely get into a match at all so it might be a bit unfair in the games favor and it's definitely going to be biased because I managed to experience bad company one and two multiplayer before they shut down a little bit more than I did battlefield 3. Which although it's still available, it's damn near dead dead. So unless you guys manage to catch it on the deal, just try it on the EA pass / Xbox ultimate pass. And I usually don't like to say it's a nostalgia talking because it's unfair to a lot of old games that really are just as good as the day we bought them or hold up to this date. But I'm sorry, battlefield 3 is not one of them. I think bad company wanted to held up better than three. Even 1943 held up fucking better than 1943. Since it was also going to get shut down around the same time from what I remember. And I mean no disrespect to the game, or the franchise, or the fans of this game. This is just my personal experience. But if I ever have somebody tell me this was the best battlefield experience ever to my face, I'm going to laugh at them. If you try to reply to me and convince me otherwise, I'm going to laugh at you. To whomever is reading this. And frankly I don't know what's worse, the quad cycle for people say they hate the current game, then hate the next game and say they love the previous game, or being stuck in the past swearing straight up and down the third game was the best, yet nobody wants to go back and play it. I said keep continuing to buy crap the next year. Actually what am I saying, you guys are very much like to call of duty community. You're claiming the previous game was better but you're continuing to buy the next game.😂 I'd say you guys are learning your lesson what's 2042, but chances are this is just your cod ghosts. You guys are probably going to see the next game is the shit and then from there it's going to continue to get worse and worse and worse even though you continue to treat 2042 or your ghost as the black sheep of the franchise. So you guys eventually get your vanguard which becomes the New Black sheep. Maybe after the next three games Xbox will buy out ea. Or dice. Keep it up guys you guys just might end up going down the same road as a call of duty community and the call of duty franchise. Or, you guys can actually learn your lesson online to call of duty community and don't let 2042 become your ghost. Which honestly people pick on ghosts too much. Extinction was good, the survivor mode was good, the multiplayer wasn't too bad. It just needed some few changes and some new better scorestreaks.of duty. And chances are EA/dice might do the same damn thing falling the same damn path if you guys don't learn and but with your wallet. Or your connection if you already have the damn game and lost the receipt. But I'm just some random jackass in the comment section. Don't let me tell you what to do with your controller, money, or your time. By all means keep giving these companies your money and telling them don't listen to a goddamn bit of criticism we give you. Because we'll keep on giving you money anyways.😂 People sit on the game pass, but at least I could try a game out and not regret my purchase. It's like having demos again. Except you got to pay for them. So more like an open beta. But the games are already finished.

Im the 2011 sweat in bunker hahaha. Stopped playing recently as the servers are miles more boring than back in days. Sadly cant get into any other battlefield game, because no other game had the gun play of bf3. Best FPS ever imo. current fps are junk compared to that game. Back on its release it was faaaaar more fun than now because the servers were packed. The maps, the modes and gunplay was something else. The 64 player ZIBA TOWER Domination is experience you never had in any fps. Just something else.

Too many smg sweats plugging mnk into their ps3s. Very inaccessible for newbie’s and not like it was In 2012. That’s just my ps3 experience, wonder how Xbox is doing. It battlefield 3 though so I’m more than willing to endure the sweats before the inevitable shutdown. And it’s in a way better state than bad company 2 and 1 was before shutdown.

The game isnt dead but its got at max 200 players. You recognize a lot of names. Recent month its been quite dead. You can rank up quick on tdm server. Sweats arent bad. Get good jeez.

If you live in Asia then yeah bf3 is definitely dead, same thing goes for bf4 (It sadden me that I never get to experience both of these games) 😢

Battlefield 3 is never die and NOT dead. But in a couple of years, Battlefield 3 online became smaller than in 2019, and some servers were empty. IN ALL THE BLAME OF FAKE SERVERS WITH BOTS. There are still a lot of people playing now. It's bad that more people play BF4 than BF3. Battlefield 3 is better at some things. MAPS BETTER THAN IN Battlefield 4

idk if it s still the case, but when i tried playing BF3 in 2019 and discord was open on my pc, for the love of god it wouldnt work and as soon as discord was shut down, zero problems
