I got into BF3 when Close Quarters was released and played until bf4 and I can hands down say it was the BEST fps gaming experience ever.. sadly fps will never be this fun, enjoyable or immersive ever again. :(

bf3 raised me. The most memorable moments were in the metro map where usually the russians had all sectors and we were stuck in the first spawn trying to fight our way out but ultimately failing cause there were either too many sweats or too many snipers. Damn i love this game

Seriously this and playing rush on damavand peak where’d you see everyone jumping off the cliff parachuting down. Was borderlined cinematic and still one of my favorite moments in any FPS to date

If you wanna keep playing BF3, check it out on PC. Lots of privately run, public servers. Can still get onto Premium servers too

3:05 server browser has a bug where if the region “south us” is enabled it will only show that there are no servers. So when browsing, hit every other region except that and it will show all servers. I’m probably wasting my energy with this comment because you’ll probably not play this game again but if you do, here’s a tip. The end of battlefield 3 will truly be the end of an era. And after 4 shuts down. That will probably be the end of my battlefield days. They were great. And I never regret a second of it.

Bf1 is still good

I have completely stopped playing any and all video games. But BF 3 is the only game I still would want to play an unhealthy amounts of hours off

Such a golden time of my childhood I remember telling all my buddies about it and them leaving call to duty in the dust to enjoy battlefiles

Dude I loved battlefield 3. To me BF3 and BF4 are top tier. The SV98 was my go to sniper and rush was my go to game mode. If I had to pick which to to be remade, I wouldn't be mad at what the popular vote chose. Good times msn.

@@joemellon7182I may end up getting BF4 again on my Xbox x. I played both of them at there peak but BF3 will always have a special place in my heart as one of my favorite games. But I’ll probably just get BF4 because apparently there is still a really good player base and I enjoyed BF4 at its peak as well and if BF3 doesn’t have a solid player base then I may just go to BF4 instead.

I actually played it again today and I was flabbergast by the audio, pairing it with Dolby Atmos. The audio sounded so clear, and the front and rear audio sound so marvelous. I didn't know it could sound this so good, back then I was just playing it with nothing but cheap shits xD

Yea the sound design is quite impressive. The immersion you get with a high quality set of gaming headphones is unbelievable. Played BF3 for a little over a year till I got me a Tritton 720+ headset. Felt relieved to finally communicate with squad and team mates

I go back and play BF3’s campaign literally every year. So many good memories, wish they still made games like this, the sound design, the graphics, the set pieces- amazing.

@@djangorestraind596 I could only imagine how good that was, for me my teenage prime was during BF4s prime which is still great, but as a kid I remember playing BF3 campaign all the time but I never had PS+ so I couldn't play online. To this day BF3's campaign is my favourite ever no matter how 'mid' the story actually was

Console servers are dead, but pretty sure the PC ones are still kicking. PC is the place to be anyway.

I just got BF3 on my Xbox series X and honestly... I get the hype. I can only imagine how good it would have been back in the day.

Nice keep playing it. It was amazing back in the day no words to describe it. The player base in the millions ..... the hype was so enjoyable the best experience ever and I still play bf3 & bf4 weekly. Mr battlefield has now started his own shooter studio named TTK games and I wonder if he can come out with a likewise game as bf3 in the future.. be sure to check it out ...

it was magical. I lived and breathed it in its heyday on Xbox 360. Soooo many fun late night sessions with friends stomping lobbies or coming back to help the team win from behind. I remember getting kicked when I'd kill the admin or their buddies just because I was lvl 100, there weren't many of us around back then lol. AEK+ kobra sight+ heavy barrel+ front grip ftw lol. Nothing else in gaming has ever measured up to late 2011 when BF3 came out then Skyrim shortly after...it was truly magical

Me too until I got a bug during comrades where my checkpoint loads and it says mission failed and I can’t fix it

Right now at 6:47AM on PlayStation 3, BATTLEFIELD 3 has 2 full 24/24 servers one of them has 3 people waiting in the Queue, one server has 23/24, one at 14/24, one at 13/24, one at 4/8, one at 4/24, and one at 1/24. 6 are private servers and two are DICE.

To be technical, Dima does die but not in BF3 but dies in BF4 instead.

It's free for gamepass users, premium with all dlcs too. There're still servers playable

Also spoiler, Dima didn't die in bf3 but in bf4, when we get trapped in a chinese high security prison, we encounter him still with the nuclear explosion burns on his face. He will eventually die at the end of the mission as we free ourselves outside the jail.

I had pre-ordered this game when it was first announced, and I still remember the elongated neck glitch in the Beta as well as during the intial release 😂. How the time flies 😢

There are still about 4-5 servers running on xbox at peak hours. This game needs to stay alive for a remaster

Built my first PC for this game, still have my original install on a slow ass old hard drive lol. Used to come home from school and play until the early AM every night, easily my favourite MP game of all time. I really think all these old beloved MP games need to be dropped to $5 as a standard, would keep them alive a lot longer.

The bf3 maps were the absolute best. I switched over from cod to bo3 and I always played more realistically on bf3. Wouldn’t get nearly as many kills per game but it was so much more fun. Those maps were everything especially the DLC’s

Never forgetting the time I wanted to get battlefield 3 at the gamestore but then the guy behind the cashier was like "For 10 extra bucks you can buy the new game BF4" and I did, had a blast! unlocked the phantom bow (the legit grindy way before it became free...) and honestly had a lot of fun

This game brings treasured memories for me. I played it with my father and with some friends of school in PS3 and we had a clan there with a lot of people. I made a lot of friends and some still playing with me other games until today. Nowadays I miss that time and this game so much and I think we will never have another experience like this anymore since the gaming industry only thinks about making a profit and doesn't do anything of quality anymore.

I was really sad when the BFstats websites abruptly went out of business years ago too, even years later after I stopped playing all the time I was top percentage MVP, medic, winning percentage, etc among couple top percent in multiple weapons. Nothing else has ever measured up to late 2011 when BF3 came out then Skyrim shortly after, was truly a magical time. Sooooo many hectic heart pumping adrenaline filled fun nights winning matching handedly or coming from behind to help the team win. Games these days truly don't feel the same. It feels like all the passion is gone and replaced by pure greed...the consumers are basically unpaid beta testers these days. I have a gaming pc and all 3 consoles but not much excites me as much these days. Squad, DayZ, Arma, The Division games have scratched an itch in some ways, Tarkov did for awhile for me but then the viral wiggle video really confirmed what I had believed and suspected for a long time that the game was absolutely infested badly with cheaters

Yes BF3 was the best all around. The multiplayer with the squads and squad leader setup was awesome. It definitely should have been remastered and/or the new battlefields should follow the same gameplay.

and the HUD UI was beautiful too, still remember playing the beta on 360 at op metro. What a beautiful time it was to be alive, best game I ever played in my life.

I remember when the attackers on Metro rush had an LAV at that first set of mcoms in the beta, lmao. Was wild. My fav shooter game of all time by far. I change the saturation on my monitor to about 80 something but I also have a capture card set to about 80 something.

Noshar canals conquest on the PS3 was so much fun everyone was obsessed with stealing all 3 helicopters and spawn killing everyone on the ship 🛳️

I can't even get the game to run. I install it, launch it. It opens a web browser and then when I hit quick match, the game says it's joining, but never shows me the game. Horrible.

can u tell how do u make it work cuz the game keeps asking me for activating product key and even tho ive deleted the license file

Giant BF3 fan here. PC player tho. 1. The situation is drastically better on PC (even if finding a full server can be kinda hard) 2. Yes, BF3 is next. idk about next year but by 2025 it might finally have its last hoorah. I'll be there to witness it, I promise 3. But despite that PC has Project Rome for BC2 and Venice Unleashed for BF3. If that makes you feel better, despite EA's efforts BC2 and BF3 can live forever on PC by running on custom backend 4. BF3 is last unquestionably great game in the series. Even if it took way too much from CoD, it still was promising and everyone felt hopeful for the future 5. I hope they never remaster BF3. Not only is it hard to actually remaster a 10 year old game, they also will NEVER satisfy everybody, there is no way they will implement all of the maps, weapons, vehicles from all DLCs and if the game won't have monetization + support - it will die faster than VU on launch. Fuck that, I'd rather see more remade BF3 content in Portal and/or future games

I have been playing bf3 on and off since November 2011...i bought bf4 a year after it's release and the experience could never compare to bf3. Its hard to explain but is like i remember it had this short period in bf3 where just because you saw an enemy didnt mean you had to get hostile toward eachother. A ton of good people were playing bf3 on ps3 back in the day. Took me years just to go back to cod. It was my first battlefield and no other bf has come close to replicating what we had on bf3.

There is an massive increase of new players on the pc version. So there is more than enough to choose regarding servers and maps.

January 1st, 2024 MY SERVER BROWSER SETTINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS: PLAYERS: ANY(unselect all options) MODE: ANY(unselect all options) MAP: ANY(unselect all options) PRESET: 2[5](Normal and Custom) RANKED: ANY(unselect all options) REGION: ANY(All unselected) The trick is to unselect almost everything in the menu. What you have to do to have them show up is to have 'Normal' and 'Custom' selected on "PRESET", this ensures that the Server Browser doesn't encounter an error from loading all 1000+ server listings at once. I also have "[×]Show Premium servers" selected and, "[×]Include and show games where the server is full". These options are at the very bottom. I understand this may not make full sense, so if you have questions: ask.

BF3 should have been remastered but not in the likes of MW2. Both were classics at the time and honestly deserve to live on forever if possible. I have yet to find another game that come close to it although I transition to R6 Siege for a while.

Great video. I love seeing analysis videos like these from smaller channels. Goes to show how influential the game is.

Actually PC has a good number of active servers on it. I just made a new rush server on PC [Gold] Good Old BF3.. Almost always full on weekends

Recently hoped back onto it on ps3 and found there was only a few servers left (about 5 going at once). It was still very enjoyable until I got banned by toxic admins on several of the remaining servers believing I was cheating, purely because i was playing on an account with no bf3 playtime before and was outplaying these max rank admins…. And then it got worse as I’ve now found out the offical servers are now full of actual cheaters with 1 shot weapons and wallhacks.

I saw that plane clip on AmazingFilms247's KZread channel back when BF3 was popular, what a time that was. Now I'm staring at BF1 and BF5 for ~$4 each, where both have too many hackers and cheaters in their multiplayer modes unless you join community servers. BF3 remains iconic.

To be honest i played bf3 once and i didn't enjoy it but that doesn't mean that people that do enjoy it shouldn't have the possibility to play it i know my personal favourite is bc2

Dice can’t write codes at BF3 and BF4 levels anymore. Dice should’ve cut and paste BF3 & 4 platform with 2020s weapons, air craft and vehicles for 2042.

Agreed. Campaign was lighthearted and funny but somewhat serious when it needed to be. Multiplayer was amazing, a few balance changes could have been useful but overall the best Multiplayer is bad company 2, along with BF3

PS3 version only has 2 servers. I still play it and I'll still play it until EA shuts the last 2 servers

Nope, not really. You are better off pirating it, plus you can play on their servers, which are very active

I was raised in call of duty but when bf3 dropped it just raised the bar for me for a game in every aspect and I was hooked on battlefield every since It really is such a sad story that most of the talent that created this game and four aren't even with dice anymore and well most likely never see this kind of game again coming from dice or EA unless they get the wise idea to do a remaster of 3 or 4

I NEVER played BF3 or BF4, never had a good enough pc to do that :( Now that i'm 21 and finally got a job, it will take me some months to build my pc and be able to do it. But it seems like i don't have much time, unfortunately. And...what about BF4? How much time do you guys think it will last from now? I plan on playing BF3 and BF4, mainly BF4.

Shoutout to the players who were playing when you could fly on top of buildings with the MAV

I had this on PS3, stuck with 24 player matches. The game however, was mind blowingly good for its time. The graphics (even at 30 fps) were incredible, destruction, gunplay, voice lines etc were insane. Initially you'd get like 10 kills and 25 deaths but that's okay, you still got a bunch of points by being a team player. Got the Steam version recently, and to put it shortly, the experience was severely depressing. Long live BF3.

BFBC2 & BF3... Absolutely iconic and hold the nearest and dearest place in my 32 year old heart.

Currently its literally unplayable on Steam. It boots into the EA app then into a browser, then opens in the EA app and repeats.....Why EA thought this was a logical way to launch a game is beyond comprehension.

Definitely one of my favorite Battlefield games. I spent so many hours on this game since it's prime year. Rush and TDM were the modes I played the most.

That was THE fps game and since then I felt a little bit something like that towards The Finals - but, no vehicles, no military stuff, not the same. Maybe the trolling factor is similar :D

BF3 PS3 player here, I estimate this game is still playable, fews servers actives but you can easily join a full game with 24/24 players. For the hackers, they still stay occasionnals and are always banned from non officiels servers, wich compose the majority of the servers now. I think peoples who say: "BF3 servers will be shut down" are just too pessimists. This game is the COD4 of Battlefield, if they shut down the servers of this Battlefield, it will be a suicide from the part of Dice.

@@co.1157 Ah yes. I bought BF3 on sale steam yesterday finally. BF3 UI is really clunky. Instead of ingame matchmaking, when I open BF3 it will open to web browser instead (to Battlelog). Multiplayer still works. Still fun. But of course newbies will be pitched against veterans. And yes. Co Op missions can't be played unless I have friend.

As do I. The memories are unmatched. The chaos on metro, the shenanigans on firestorm. The hype on Caspian border. I will never forget. I loved bf3 so much, I practically invented missle dodging, before they over buffed missiles. And became the top 6th pilot in U.S. On battlelog. With my number 4 european friend alizarin fox. What a time it was.

I play Bf3 on PS3 Up to 300 people playing usually here in 2024 And it’s a big fun

I had played this game from 2012-2021 religously! Booming servers and I could stay on for hours. BRING THIS BACK no changes, only updates.

BF 3 is discounted for 90% on EA. It's 0.75$ now. I won't expect player on older game, but maybe that price for the campaign and the look alone is worthy?

BF3 is more popular on PC because you can still find about 8-10 servers that are almost full. There's just more people playing BF4 overall and I personally still play BF4 every now and then.

I didn't get to play BF3 because my PC couldn't run it and I couldn't afford a new one at the time :(

If this would have been remastered, i would buy it instantly.

I played BF2 during it's prime. Not BF3 and I do, genuinely feel like I missed out. I personally really love (figuratively) the middle eastern conflict themes because I grew up during 9/11 and the Iraq War. plus i just love desert aesthetic in general.--Because I moved and had satellite internet which is not good for twitch-shooting games. Believe me I've tried.

Im not able to get into a game and I wish people would start playing it again like the old cod’s and able to join a server! BF3 was even more fun that BF4 imo so much nostalgia…

Steam has the premium edition for less than $3 CAD right now... ...shame EA had to poison it with Origin, then switched to the EA app and broke it.

when you say bf3 was put into the portal thats not really true theres like 2 maps from that game.

I played bf3 today and ps3 and there was three servers with active players

BF3 and BF4 were God tier games. They eclipsed COD back when CoD Ghost released. I miss the time when I hoped on BF3 on my 360 with some friends. It was my first BF I loved. I did play Bad Company 2 but I didn’t like it. I was into COD more then. But BF3 was a masterpiece, the campaign was so unreal! BF4 was perfection too, especially on Xbox One. I miss these days
