Tokyo Revengers was pretty good for about 90% of the manga. the last 10% dropped the ball HARD. Decisions were made, and the protagonist just cries too much and barley develops throughout the story.

Tokyo revengers drags on too long, and the ending is unsatisfying. I like this first chapter though.

season 1 was good. everrything after was animated badly. the manga dragged hard all for the ending to be shit lol

The thing that bother me about the ending in TR was kisaki end being happy and part of the group coz dude didn’t show any redeeming qualities and in fact all the different scenarios he was the cause of it all. Him getting hit by the truck was a much more satisfying ending for all of the bad karma he did. I don’t think he genuinely cares for anyone just the obsession over Mikey,Hina, and Toman

There are two official English names as far as I can tell. It is either Astro's Wish or Astro Royale. Astro Royale seems to be more used. People hate Tokyo Revengers because the so called "Mickey Mouse" writing. No stakes, characters who shouldn't lose get clapped by the weakest possible character, insufferable main character, and various other reasons. I'd say people just exaggerate how bad and overly cliche it is. Some people who hate have never even seen a single episode or chapter. And now people think this series will have the same fate. The main character, Hibaru, is already getting hated for being "too ugly". But whatever. I am personally going to read this because the first chapter caught my interest, and to see if the hate for this is as unreasonable as the hate for Tokyo Revengers.

Ahh I see I see. Thanks for the clarification, I def intend to check it out at some point so I can have my own opinion on the manga but it’s interesting to know what the “community” hates on it for lol. Chapter 1 of Astro royale is good tho!

The reason why people shit on Tokyo Revengers (what I think...): 1. The MC Takemichi Hanagaki is a crybaby (even worse than Deku and Deku's not that bad in my opinion). Although people/fans inside and outside Japan who have read/watched TokRev anime/manga don't like it because of the MC. They like it because of the amazing and iconic side characters. Like the MC isn't even in the top 5 position in the popularity poll but still you know, he's the MC and it's his story so you need to endure him even if you don't want to. 2. After season 1, they changed the streaming platform from Cruchyroll to Disney Plus, so many people didn't watch the anime after season 1. 3. The animation isn't that great. It's not that bad, but it's not that good either like how in this season CloverWork beautifully animated Wind Breaker (another delinquent anime/manga), and the fight choreography looks absolutely stunning. But that's not the case for TokRev and for that, a lot of people complain about the anime. 4. And for the manga readers, their complaint is about the ending of TokRev and how it was written. The final arc was a bit rushed and half-assed and that's about it. Contents before the final arc are actually pretty good btw. 5. Also people compare TokRev with Wind Breaker a lot, saying that Wind Breaker is better than TokRev. For those people, I wanna say that the mangaka of Wind Breaker Satoru-Nii is a massive fan of TokRev and its mangaka Ken Wakui. In fact, TokRev is the reason why he started writing Wind Breaker in the first place since TokRev inspired him. He even draws TokRev character fanarts and posts them on his official Twitter account. So stop shitting on TokRev cause in that way you're also shitting on Satoru-Nii's favorite series as well who started writing Wind Breaker after he got inspiration from TokRev.

Well, the manga is called Astro "Royale", so most likely a war will start between all the brothers until only one remains and takes over the leadership of the organization. The interesting thing will be to discover what powers the other brothers obtained, whether alliances were formed along the way or not.

Hibaru seems to have 12 adoptive siblings including terasu as he’s the 12 there’s probably gonna be several siblings fighting for leadership I’m assuming but I could be wrong I’m wondering who could the villains be in the story tbh the story got me mad hype chapter 1 then I was with Tokyo revengers in my opinion

I loved TR series too much The story isn't very good but its ok The best thing about the TR series for me is the style of the characters This new series Astro Royale has the same style and the "Apocalyptic super power Yakuza" story WTF is this 😂😂 I think I'll love this series too
