I’m learning as the days pass, that Brad and his team are legit scouts that know how to address fit in FA and draft the best talent available. It doesn’t break the bank, and sets your team up for future success sooner rather than later. Honestly very weird, because as a Detroit fan, I’m so used to ambitious GM’s ready to come in and break the bank on players that aren’t the right fit long term.

This is a sneaky good signing. I'm excited to see what he and Davis add to our pass coverage game.

There are rumors that sutton got injured mid season, but the cb room was depleted so he played through it. Would make sense of his bad finish to the season.

I think he's fast and speed is what you need on NFL teams

I think he's taking a guard in the 1st. All the moves made so far kinda point to it. Picked up a couple defensive lineman, couple of corners.. but they ain't sign no replacement for Jonah. I think they drafting his replacement

Having A Robertson and CD should help us immensely. Brad Holmes could still get a CB in the 3rd round or later. Pressure on the QBs is what’s important. I’m hoping for a Edge in the first round.

Looks good, sticky and plays hard.

I think Robertson is gonna play more than most people think. Davis struggles with smaller more agile WR’s and is better against the bigger X WR’s. Robertson is almost the complete opposite of that. I could be wrong but I could see who’s playing CB depends on the matchup.

I think he's a nice fit and will help fill out the d backs room. With the signing of DJ Reader, and with Alim, Hutch, and the line backing corps, the Lions will be attacking!!

You noted an important skill that killed us last year. When a QB would break from the pocket none of our CB’s were able to break on the ball or prevent a completion. Davis & Robertson are both very good at closing and making a play on the ball. Although Robertson is on the small size, many have noted that he’s exactly the same size that the D Coordinator Aron Glenn played at. AG’s gonna love having this guy on the field. I expect the lions to deploy both of these new CB’s sparingly in order to have them available in the post season. Fans should not be surprised if AG plays an abundance of zone coverage whenever possible especially early in the year. Much like the way they deployed Gibbs in ‘23. Also although he weakness is tackling, the lions D frequently swarm the ball and gang tackle at a very high rate which will mitigate that weakness. 😊

With Davis lll and Roberson the Lions defense is going to be a top 10 defense this year!!! Thanks again for a great breakdown!!! Branch will be slot all beast!!! Sutton will be in the nickle and Dime!!! If Mosley gets back, the Lions will have one of the best CB positions groups in the NFL!!!

We definitely got faster at outside corner. We still need a young cornerstone corner who has natural hands. Both of our FA pickups drop too many balls, I guess thts why there DBs instead of WR..

He's very athletic, instinctive, can get vertical, and he's just an absolute dog on the field. Perfect for the Lions. We've definitely upgraded our defense through FA. Seems like they love versatililty. Pretty much any starter can play multiple positions

Good depth at the least. Need somebody with good zone awareness.

This sets up as a very interesting Secondary. Is the best combination Carlton Davis and Robertson with Sutton backing them up. Maybe Branch plays Safety full-time, though that's a mistake in my opinion, he can play Safety in 4-man secondaries but if there is a nickel in the game, it needs to be Branch in my opinion. That would mean one of Iffy or Joseph sit in 4 man and come in for nickel packages. Oh, BTW. Moseley should be healthy.

Mosley has 2 ACLs...we have no idea how he's gonna be coming back..if he is healthy clearly it's HUGGGEEE for us but man having both ACLs....who knows. Low risk bringing him back though I loved it

I wouldn't pencil mosely in just yet. Going on almost 2 years with 2 major injuries he have to come back from wait and see at best. Cam not going anywhere, he has another two years but those 2 pickups will help

We got perfect outside and slot man CBS with the two new cbs hopefully we draft two cbs for them to groom and possibly replace them like Kamal hadden Dwight mcclothern max Melton or the CFL cb ir both fsu cbs

Raiders fan here if Amik is your best corner that’s not a good thing now if you saying 3-4th you in good shape . He’s no way a bum but he’s not a 1 -2 cornerback

As a Raiders fan trust me. He's the complete opposite of what u think he is. I wanted him cut yrs ago. He's one of those guys that thinks he's better than he actually is. He was the weak link in the chain that always gave up the big play in the worst times. All he does is talk trash to the WR he's guarding n gets burnt for a big play orTD right after. He talks like Tarzan n plays like Jane. Always irritated me that he wore 21. Didn't deserve it at all😢

Weird take. He's not a great or even a good corner but watching him since his rookie year, he has definitely improved. He has flaws like most undersized outside corners will but he's at least solid and has room for improvement. It's not like they signed him to a max contract or even a big contract, he's just serving a role until they find someone better. You can't name a CB that didn't give up big plays, acting like he isn't supposed to is a casual mindset. Players can talk shit as much as they want unless they're flat out bad which Amik was not.

I like this signing better than the Davis trade. Position versatility and Lions mentality. I hate the Davis trade. I can't understand giving up a 3rd and paying him $15 mil for a one year rental.
