Is Agile Software Development Broken? (with Bob Martin)

Ғылым және технология

Agile Software Development. Has the message been lost? What was the need for it in the first place? In this video, I talk about how 17 programmers changed modern-day software development by refining a broken process.

Bro!!! You got uncle Bob on the channel! Well done. I'm surprised he didn't start with an astronomical comparison of his apple watch against the pdp-8

Nice traffic light you got there... don't worry, I get it, happens to everyone. You go out, drink too much, and the next thing you know, some random stuff appears in your bed, the next morning

love the style of this. Can you do a video about what you think the future of software development will be like? with AI on the rise and stuff like that, how you think it will change around the job of a developer day to day.

Excellent video as always! Loved the fact you had Bob! Awesome!! I may have to contrast your impressions and opinions in terms of the Agile process being broken. I think what’s really broken is the current level of people’s commitment to individually lead by example owning their tasks, communication, organizational, and comprehension skills. This is something you can’t automate, after all it is meant for human beings to manage the process along with everyone else within the development team. The system works, the problem is the pre Madonna attitudes and Egos getting fin the way. Great job with the video.

Outstanding, Video Great Content. Probably the most succinct, enjoyable, and comprehensive reference to Agile, with arguably one of the most key Individuals associate with Agile Development. Robert Cecil Martin, possesses a dedication to our craft, a pride of ownership, a passion, and a call to "Accountability" one must possess to live the coding dream. We that appreciate this high standard of Code Craftmanship, lovingly refer to him as “Uncle Bob”, because through his understand and insight into our craft, he has earned a place in our hearts and we embrace him as part of our coding family. Bookmark this one as your “go to” source for the what I think is the best educational and entertaining overview of Agile on the internet. Thank you, Kenny for sharing this fantastic video, providing all this valuable content, and sharing your Craftmanship with us all.

Hello Kenny. As an inspiring self taught developer this video strikes me deeply because it shows me that the path that I'm choosing to educate me with, with craftmanship in mind over short term thinking, is the way to go. It is hard though, because the results are not clear at first hand, but perseverance pays off eventually. Thank you for creating this inspiring piece of content, it brought important things to my soul.

What happens with the junior programmer after the program is written? When is the last time a senior had to go back and fix their own junior mess? Now days senior means reverse engineering messes.
