Yup. They were basically Eddie Bauer and LL Bean. Then became surfwear/preppy while i was growin up, and now theyre like refined streetwear Gap

Prices might be high but the entire store is almost always 20% off, both in store and online. And that’s before the actual sales that they have at the beginning and end of each season. Plus influencer codes. It’s quality for staples, especially their oversized tees and 5 inch shorts.

@@MrAlohaGabe I agree preference plays a part but to say they feel cheap because the shirt is soft does not make sense to me. I guess they prefer thicker shirts but I feel like a softer shirt is more comfortable and they do hold their shape pretty well.

IDK man I feel like they have a very contradicting opinion because of the quality of Richies brand. These items are great for the price. Remember Richie bought a $300 shirt and they're complaining about a $70 sweater for being soft.

Richie squeezing his hat through each shirt was wild. Like bro wasn't taking off the hat for a second.

I used to shop there like in my early college days but grew out of that preppy style they had back then. But a couple years ago, I needed a topcoat & just from searching on the Google "shopping" tab, I came across one from their site that I really liked. I saw that they really changed their style. Ever since then, they've been one of my go-to places. I haven't bought any of their streetwear type stuff though, I buy more of their dapper stuff like that knit yall had in this video. I think their stuff is nicer now, a lot more subtle & less branding, don't have the Moose logo everywhere now lol. I believe the same people that made Abercrombie also owns Hollister, but it's not as nice imo. Also, back then both stores didn't sell/make anything in the color black (for reasons Idk why), but now they both do. A dark navy blue was the closest color they had to black back then.

Abercrombie was extremely popular in the 90's. It definitely leaned more preppy back then. Started fading out in the early 2000's. It was always expensive. It was the step up from American Eagle back in those days.

New styles are pretty nice quality. Retail prices are high, but they always have sales like 30 to 40% off.

Feel like Abercrombie actually peaked like 2 years ago. Had much deeper sales, cheaper prices and more standardized fits. They were trying to do modern basics well and that was it. Now I feel like they’re trying to do too much to keep up with trends - and with the increase in popularity has come an increase in prices which has offset the value. They were “surprisingly good quality for the price” whereas now they’re just average to below average quality for the price.

I feel A&F is popular because of their designs and accessibility. More hype/smaller boutique brands tend to sell out quickly and rarely restock. The prices are steep but you gotta be on the look out for the sales lol

I really like the Rebrand Abercrombie made without their logo and font being plastered all over. you guys were right when you said that shopping online is a lot better than going into the actual store they never have anything in there I also own the popover hoodie and the heavyweight blank T that you reviewed and I found them on sale they have sales regularly it's not always full price!

Just copped some of their premium essentials tees and it’s perfect shirts. Also got some vacation fits, great quality

I wouldn’t build a whole wardrobe here but every now and then they have some fire shirt or jacket I can’t resist. Fierce cologne is overpowering in store but buy a bottle. A spray or two will get you more compliments than you can imagine. By far my all time favorite smell to wear

I use to wear A&F back in the day in high school and a lil in middle school. I remember their clothes being very expensive. We talking 1998 - 2004, Jeans use to be $125. Camo cargo shorts and pants were always fire.

Their flannels are the best for me! And I’m always able to find them for sale at a good price! Their heavyweight flannels are really nice and feel great!

The loose workwear pants are super nice and also, they have sales quite often.

Started shopping A&F online recently but have yet to see a sale.. when do these sales happen?

We need more videos like this but on different stores. Do one for Old Navy, Target, Zara.... maybe Wal-Mart. I've been noticing a lot more ads for the clothes at Wal-Mart.

I never stopped wearing Abercrombie and we have a "factory" store within half hour. Never pay full price they always have sales. Always been some of the longest lasting clothes I had. Still have several pairs of vintage cargo shorts.

@@_1Brick1_ Washington state I know of at least 3 "factory" stores in addition to normal retail but they also sell their clearance discontinued stuff on the website.

A&F and Hollister are well regarded in the uk, better quality than h&m etc and reasonably priced for the basic stuff

Definitely better quality than H&M. I don't really shop at H&M due to their quality being so poor, unless if I need some cheap dress clothes for a one-time occasion. Lol

A&F was my go to in the 2008-2012; then the craze died off. Still rocking them when working from home.

I used to buy fast fashion items and designer items, 4 years ago i sold al my gear and started to get visvim items. You got to check out there stuff. prices are high, but most costs are into production because its all made with the best fibers and ancient techniques to make the best products that will last and stand the test of time. I buy around 3 items a year beeing really picky what I actually need instead of want. There stuff isn’t comparable to anything made in this world.

I think their hoodies are super nice and the nice kind of soft you need for me personally but to be fair Richie you are wearing a shirt that’s a bit “baggy” so the items are gonna feel tight on you to begin with. Plus you’re a bit bigger, muscle wise, than Tan so that too will play a part. Their pants I feel like I wouldn’t be too much a fan of but their hoodies, polos, boxer briefs is what I go for the most. I will I am definitely a consistent costumer but I think what really helped was getting rid of their old CEO/President cause that nigga was an absolute dickhead.

Abercrombie is aight, better than before but yeah price point doesn't quite justify for me. I'd recommend hitting their outlets if anything

Ever since abercrombie did the revival, i only shop for their niche pieces like linen clothing and knitwear. Also jeans cause now they actually have my size by being inclusive to short people lol! Their streetwear stuff is kinda meh and expensive for what they are.
