At this time of year, grey seal pups in the Baltic Sea are starting to become independent, and may be seen resting on the beach cliffs. They are usually untroubled unless people or dogs get too close to disturb them. The situation is different if the pup is very thin or has wandered far from the sea. Wild animals in need of help receive professional care at the Korkeasaari Zoo's Wildlife Hospital.
