Both great bikes but I’d have liked to see a comparison between the Interceptor 865 and the Triumph T100, which with its 900cc engine, would be a closer match.

Yes, both bikes are fantastic, I have installed a quick action throttle on my Interceptor now, and the performance is getting close to my old man's T120 Triumph. The T120 is still a more powerful bike, but having access to full throttle on my bike has made the gap much closer now. It would be unfair to compare a modified 865cc Interceptor to a stock T100 Triumph as I'm sure my 865 would smoke a stock T100. I could be wrong as I haven't had a ride on a T100. I'm planning on making a video on both bikes (865 & T120) 0 to 100kmh and up to 140kmh with GPS timing app on my phone to compare both bikes times.

I dont think it would be unfair. The displacement is close and the price is probably comparable with the RE upgrades. @@ivananda865ccinterceptor

Hello, I have to agree, Both bikes have there strengths and weakness. Both bikes are fantastic to ride. I need to make another video about this topic as i wasn't to clear about the point i was trying to make.

The Royal Enfield looks way cooler. Much more classically authentic and character. The Triumph costs twice as much and has a much bigger engine. So its hardly a fair comparison.

Hello, My point is that I have spent over 20k Nzd on my Interceptor and a new T120 Triumph Bonneville cost the same. Both bikes are fantastic to ride and it's only what I think. If I had to choose one bike I would choose my Interceptor.

@ivananda865ccinterceptor but you followed traditional Cafe racer ways taking a bike and making it go faster vs buying it all ready done that bike has hours of your sweat and blood

Beautiful riding-country , where-abouts is that ? I was looking for an RE when a W650 came along at the right price , it's a bit underpowered but a nice bike . I have an XV1000 (chain-drive 70-ish HP) for my torque/Hp-fun but a lighter-twin with good Hp would be interesting . Chasing the perfect-bike is always a bit-impossible

Very nice, If the bike goes well as is I would leave it as is. I don’t think chasing 75cc would be worth it unless you can you can do most of the work yourself.

Have you compared the 865 Interceptor with the newer Speedtwin or Triumph HT 900 T100 64hp 80Nm?I was thinking 🤔 about getting a Speedtwin 900 64hp 80Nm & is 216kg wet with full tank stock & RE 650 is 213kg with 80% in tank so basically the same weight both filled tanks.Speedtwin has 4pot Brembo front brakes & more Sporty than T100 & has alloy wheels.T100 looks better & has larger tank 14.5L but is heavier 228kg wet but only has 2pot Brembo front brakes.I currently got LAMS Trident 🔱 660 but want to get back on a modern classic again & was thinking 🤔 about the newer High Torque Speedtwin or T100 once got full license in a few months.Trident lacks low down Nm but with Quick Shifter keeps up with bigger bikes but behind them & faster from mid-higher revs it really fly's & can fly past if want too at higher revs & higher gears some bigger bikes.I had a Interceptor & miss the modern classic look but I like the better quality of the Triumphs.

No I haven't had a ride on the T100, I would like too. I'm also a big fan of Triumph's. I ride my old man's T120 and is a far better bike than my Interceptor. But it fails to do one thing.... It doesn't put a massive smile on my face like the Interceptor does. It's still a lot of fun to ride and the T120 is a stock standard bike and some mods to it would change that (most likely) Both brands of bikes are very good in what they offer. My point here is we all get caught up which bike's has more power, which one go around a corner faster...etc..and I'm guilty of that myself but at the end of the day it's about enjoying the ride and the machine and that's why in the near future I'll be upgrading from the 865(Big smile) to the 950(Even bigger smiles). There was a few reason's i did the upgrades with the Interceptor. 1 to try the keep up with dads bike. 2 to over take cars safely. 3 When i get my full license I'll would have gone from a 650 to 1200 (T120) so the 865 is the half way point. I bought an GN250 to do the test for the next step for my motorcycle license, Its the biggest piece of sh@t but for some reason i love riding it so go figure LOL.
