@@verchiel_8295 nope, its totally wrong. you need more fps than hz to utilize its full potential. the fastest way to test it is to cap monitor to 60hz, then ingame play first with 60fps then switch to 120fps. you will feel a big difference.

Different yes, better no. You are still only seeing 60fps@240hz (hz === cycles per second) is still choppy and has higher input delay. in the case of 240fps@60hz you have lower input delay (ie. Keypresses and clicks) but the time for them to show up on the monitor is still at a 60hz delay (meaning it will still feel like you are dragging your cursor around rather than it being 1:1 with sensor movement, but inputs such as keystrokes will be more responsive). There is a video online about pros trying to hit the dust2 spawn shot on door with 60fps vs 240fps@60hz of you want some proof. It was almost impossible at 60fps but at 240fps@60hz they could do it pretty consistently

Reducing your FPS but not the refresh rate of your monitor doesn't increase the input lag as it should be on 60Hz The monitor makes the difference too on the input lag, at same refresh/fps

No it wouldn't. 60hz has input lag because the monitor is trying to put out frames at a certain speed and fails to do so, so the frames you see on 60hz is actually something that already happened a couple miliseconds ago, if you pause a screen on 60hz of a guy just leaving the floor after a jump, he's probably actually already a couple inches in the air where you only see him on the floor in that instance because the monitor hasnt gotten the chance to process and show you that frame, so yes there is a difference between fps and hz, fps is the smoothness of the game, hz is how much of those frames can be processed per seconds, and 60hz processes slower than 360hz massively even though it might only be 60 fps@@yaniawok

Currently, Peak Ascendant 2 with ~100$ PC (1220 v2 + 750 ti) and an overclocked 75 Hz monitor. Upgrading to at least i3 gen10 could push me to immortal. For low-end PCs, peeking and tapping feel delayed and less snappy, so it's hard to spray control. If you want to reach immortal+, go with a minimum i3 Gen10 and 144 Hz monitor.

FPS and Hertz in A monitor a very different, if you wanna feel the 60 hertz game play go to display settings on window and lower the refresh rate to 60 hertz, having more than 60 frames helps but only then you can experience the true 60hertz

the game works differently when you put the frame cap to when you limit the refresh rate, if u have the game running at high fps but 60hz refresh rate, it performs better than if you play with frame cap at 60fps. Try it yourself

i play at 30 fps that stutters and 4G no Ethernet wifi that spikes some times playing as the hardest agent Yoru just because i want to master him. See the difference?

the scariest fact is that u played in 60fps which were still,the worst part about bad pcs is fps fluctuations….

Keep in mind on fortnite fps matters way more than in val cuz its a really mechanical game. But just so i get my point, fps doesent equal skill and for all the poeple who say it they either have massive ego problems or dont know anything bout it

Definitely not impossible to get high rank on a 60hz monitor, just difficult. NDG, current sentinel player for Team Secret, reached radiant rank 72 on a shitty 60hz laptop that was dropping frames during gun fights. So it's definitely doable

There's a difference between stable 60fps and 60fps peak fps. Some if not most hardstuck (iron, bronze, silver and gold) have hardware issues and don't technically have the best computers.

yep, I have gtx 1650 laptop but even it sometimes struggle to keep staying in 90 fps

only changing the fps doesnt change the latency from the monitor like most or all or almost all monitors that are 59hz/60hz have 8ms and yeah it has a lot difference from 8ms to 1ms

i don't know how, but just putting my refresh rate from 165hz to 60hz made my aim better? although it looks really choppy to me i still got better aim than with 165hz, maybe its because im used to the input lag on 60hz? im not sure

@@mcnub7379 you just get adjusted to it a bit 60 personally looks terrible to me now but i would say its just a placebo if you do better on 60 at first. 144 for me just feels more consistent and feels more accurate to what i should be seeing

It is not the thing you are playing 60fps it is the thing you are getting 60fps constantly.

You have no idea how difficult it is when your game literally freezes for a moment when your opponent peeks out and you can't even fire off a shot due to the latency... what you're providing is extremely smooth gameplay to me.

That is not all we face , i have a 15-16 year old LCD samsung monitor , it has deadpixels in bottom right of the screen, a 5ms response time 60hz refresh rate . I overclocked the monitor to 75Hz and play valo . Theres also frame drops my fps will go from 74(fixed) to , at the lowest , 35-36, in an instant , there's input lag too , ping diffs , mouse and keyboard response times to take into consideration as well. So much shit happening and then recently i somehow dont get the Nvidia reflex low latency option which i had set to On+boost . Apart from that theres weird shit happening with latency , i shoot shots and see that i hit a clear shot in a clearly open area which will later show as wallbangs and theres also times i hit 5-6 bullets to the enemy and it registers 3-4 . Dunno what the fuck is happening fr.

There is a big difference between 60hz and other refresh rates, 144-240hz are almost the same it wont change how you play honestly, but 360hz is just another whole level its so smooth if you constantly have +300fps. Ive used all the monitors and not lowered my fps.

With 75hz I got ascendant but honestly there is a moment when it is almost impossible, you have to play off angles and avoid direct fights, makes you find a better positioning in the map but getting a 1v1 or a peek is f*cking imposible sometimes

Best way to feel smooth is to play with 10 fps and then switch to ur native fps
