I roughly estimated that I printed a whole proxy krieg army for like 350/400 bucks (printer included) while the same forge world army would have costed me little less than 1500$. I don't feel bad in any way.

I can imagine ^^
The Makers Cult and RedMakers are my go to when people ask for these types of models even more so since they are more in peoples eyes with plastic releases as of late. Nice Stuff bud 🙂

@@vikingsinner2804 Stationforge makes a way better job, sorry guys
I like the Idea of GW selling STLs. Like get an entire army’s STLs for like $49.99 or something 🤔 or I guess it depends on the models available. I’d definitely buy some this way. It’s a lot cheaper than $500 or more! But I feel like this would incentivize every body buying 3D printers and GW not focusing on their Plastics 🤔

There is no way you would get an army worth of STL for 49.99 it would cost something like 20 bucks per unit
Since I started using the onepagerules miniatures made in my 3d Printer as well as their rulesets, I have been freed from the infernal grasps of the company that games workshop has been become. Finally, independence! ;) No, but srsly, at home 3d printing is a huge asset and has really reinvigorated my hobby spirit. It even pulled some of my friends and my brother back to the hobby, who have not painted a miniature in 10 years (or ever, lol). :)

you can kitbash wargames atlantic ww1 french and they look pretty much perfect
3D printing is good because its about having fun and enjoying yourself and not about the soulless profit margin of a corporation that has long sense lost it's heart and passion for what it brought forth.
Awsome work .. paint job looks amazing 👏
This is a really good video, it helped me make my decision on 3d models. Thanks!

Thank you! :)
I started with a squad of engineers with mole launcher. They were defective, damaged or missing limbs. Replacements arrived. They were complete but warped to Medrengard. So I ran the numbers on my idealized 2k pts DK army and it came out to the same price as an 8k printer, 10kg of resin, spare FEP and the STLs. Saved. Now I have my own sci-fi WWI army, a printer and new skills. I also admit, I recently bought the Sisters’ CP and although the lack pose-ability proved a challenge, the price was decent.
I was looking up Guard regiments to play, and I came upon the Ventan Heavy infantry regiment. They have nothing on the wiki except they are referenced in a book where they were annihilated in the 13th black crusade. So I will take the Valour Korps minis and print out my Ventan Heavy infantry Regiment. They already have the "V" the helmets and flags. Great video!
Hopefully you did not throw out the ones that were printed badly or didn't print properly. Because if you want you can chop them up and make them as casualties of war for maybe like the tyranid or the other xenos. They can have a dead body or a diorama explosions can take out one of them too.
Nice, I printed a kreig army and I scaled it to my friends star wars legion models.
Nice video

Thanks! Happy printing.
I'm just going to print my first DKOK models, what is the correct size in millimeters to match the ones GW sells?
Such a great video i think 3D printing fine if they make the models from scratch.

Thank you! :) So do I.
GW should def consider selling STLs for out of print models or specialist armies like the Krieg. Forgeworld prices in any currency are ridiculous, too bad they'll never do it precisely because of that.
what printer did you use and would you recommend it for beginners?

I've been using the Elegoo Mars Pro. It was my first 3D Printer and I'm very happy with it.
Death Korps are so coooool :D
What glue for what magnets? Mine never stick :(
I like 3d printing for terrain; I look at it this way, I can either spend hundreds of dollars on GW terrain kits for a table’s worth of terrain, or I can spend between 50 and 75$ on filament XD.
This is the same company that brought you Dune (I mean, 40K,) Terminators (Necrons,) Aliens (Tyranids,) John Rambo (Catachan Jungle Fighters, like ‘Sly Marbo’.) And sooooo many others. Think about the audacity of GW, shutting down 3rd party makers for “stealing intellectual property.” The ultimate example of “Do as we say - not EXACTLY as we HAVE DONE, and CONTINUE TO DO- over and over and over again.”
Whats the game in the beginning of the video?
What printer did you use?

You said, you'll never play these models on a tournament because they are printed. So what? It's clearly visible which models are which unit and all weapons and equipment seem to be WYSIWYG. Or are all tournaments in your area exclusively held by GW themselves? Because I've never seen a tournament of other organisers, where 3rd party models or prints weren't allowed.

And he could probably get away with using them in a tournament because even though GW has the rule, it can be really difficult for tournament staff to spot 3D printed models. My Death Korps army is 100% 3D printed, and I've been able to get them past the watchful eye of tournament organizers many times. I've only been questioned about them a few times and each time, I just say they look a little different from the official models because I made some modifications with green stuff and kit bashing. Both of those are still allowed at official GW events and once I say that, the person questioning me has never pressed the issue any further.
Unfortunately 3D printing won't fix GW's bad rules. That said King's of War doesn't care you can take a entire 3D printed army to a tournament.
Gw at this point is a scam
