This is one of the best C&Js ever, partly because it was so sloppy. Big Andrei just muscled it the whole way -- amazing, amazing show of raw strength. Pulled it high, stood up easily in awkward position, and jerked it VERY high. This definitely could have been a 272.5 day. I never heard what Chemerkin could SQ or Front SQ,but the numbers must have been huge. He always looked like he could front squat 700 any day of the week.
They changed the weight classes in 1993 and 1997, both times they wiped all the world records. The unofficial world record competition Clean and Jerk of all time is 266kg by Taranenko.
so satisfying to watch
He made that look like a warm up
the lonely oly lifter inflexible. hes like a stone statue ! indestructiblz back and brute strenght ..

If this guy had a better technique, ge would hold the records. Incredibly strong.

the guy could have become so much more. thats the most insane part about it. he never had good technique compared to most professional lifters. he even cleaned without the bar resting on his shoulders sometimes. insane guy. also power cleaned and power jerked.

Raw can also include certain types of belts and types of Wrist Wraps. No one at that weight is typically without either of those 2 things. Shoes also play a big roll in this sport and Powerlifting.
@skirts365 Heh, relax, I'm not here to take your rights away, sheesh.
