You know here’s what I would have done. What should have happened here was that Pepper should have gotten a hold of ear piece and command Jarvis to open up the Mark 9 Iron Man suit and then do a badass landing pose with the helmet face plate lifted up. As Killian attacks, the faceplate closes around Pepper’s face and she punches out Killian before firing a missile at him and then blasting missile causing the explosion taking out Killian for good. Now that is what should have happened but that’s just me I guess.

@@projectblade82 right? Thank you! And plus I don’t know if you’re a Hot Toys collector but I collect the Diecast Iron Man figures through Sideshow. I currently have the Mark 7 in my possession which looks remarkably similar in shape and size to the Mark 9 shown here in the film. Well in all reality the Mark 9 is just the Mark 7 with the helmet of the Mark 33 Silver Centurion Iron Man and the legs of the Mark 17 Heartbreaker Iron Man. With the mid section being the Mark 7. Honestly I would love to see Hot Toys make a Mark 9 Diecast figure. I can tell you I would definitely buy that even though I already have the Mark 7. After all they made the Mark 9 as a fragile plastic figure so I think we might as well get a Diecast version. I’d buy it! What about you?

For those confused: 1) Pepper got rid of her power. Tony told her they'll get her all fixed up again and normal. 2) Rodney can use the suits, he just didn't need him to and was being petty about the guns. Course pepper is also coded in. 3) Tony's suits also carry their own power which is why he had to charge up Mark 42 throughout parts of the movie. 4) Reason why mk 42 is so bad is because it also was a prototype. Not a finished nor a refined product.

@@ExileTwilight S.H.I.E.L.D was into all kinds of illegal experiments including trying to create weapons of mass destruction and super soldiers. The HYDRA group running shield behind the scenes was even worse. Killian seems to have nearly perfected it and shield had far more resources. Do you think Alexander Pierce or Baron Strucker would have cared about the risks? Strucker used the mind stone to experiment on humans which was given to him by Pierce. The only survivors were Wanda and her brother. Why wouldn't Pierce experiment with the extremis serum in either the name of shield or hydra? I'd argue even the military would attempt it, we seen Ross inject Blonski with an experimental and dangerous serum just to give himself an edge on the Hulk which in part turned him into Abomination. It's to much power to pass up for comparatively little risk.

To all the people in the comments who don’t like that pepper ends up beating killian, that’s literally the point of the movie. The suits can’t save tony, he builds them because he is scared of what might happen if he doesn’t. He can’t rely on anything but the suits, not even himself. Therefore ultimately the one who saves Tony both literally and metaphorically is pepper, not the suits. Thus Tony is able to trust in the future and rely on people again. That’s like his character arc. It’s the whole ass point of the movie

For some men, "the GUY wins by being STRONGER" is more important to them, than the whole ass point of this or any other movie. Stark is brilliant, principled, and flawed. Pepper has been covering for his flaws, since her first appearance in the first movie. She installed his heart, when he could not do that by himself. But, ya know, for some dudes, Mario saves Princess Peach, and the other way around is inconCEIVable.

Come to think, it's sorta like in Ragnorok: mjolnir wasn't the source of thor's power but rather a way to channel it. If thor didn't have mjolnir, he's supposed to still fight and channel that power elsewhere/with something else. It's not about one specific thing that makes thor thor, or iron man iron man.

You know how there are those who head-canoned that Daniel was the real bully in Karate Kid and now it's pretty much confirmed in Cobra Kai? Carol Danvers is the same way. Yes, the Kree were a bunch of deceitful assholes, but frankly Danvers used her abilities to not only defeat them, but to also humiliate them for her own selfish needs to feel more important. That is why she is NOT an Avenger. She is not a teamplayer and does not fit in with their unofficial mantra. Pepper Potts is so much better a person and more heroic than Captain Marvel. Hands down.

Why stop there? Send him to the moon if you can. Let's see him regenerate from blistering solar radiation and walking over moon soil(That stuff is so abrasive NASA had to redesign tires strong enough to withstand it. The original Moon Rover tires came back looking like swiss cheese).

The slightly heroic track that plays while the camera is zoomed in on the helmet is to reflect all that Tony and the Mark 42 went through together and tease us that maybe the suit is more than the sum of parts...then trolls us by telling us it’s not when the faceplate unceremoniously pops off.

mark23(made of highly dense carbon(sublimes at 3500 degrees) and ceramic plate(melting point of 2000degrees) with insulator as its exoskeleton) can theoretically with stand lava, considering most of the suit was built with titanium alloy(melting point of 1688degrees) this suit had far more protection against heat

I love how the Mark 42 blowing up didn't kill Killian because the missile in the arm was already used during the attack on Malibu. Just that missile alone had more firepower than the rest of the explosives in the suit combined.

The armor exploding is weakening him, making him go into higher temperature. Thats where he cannot regen again if he take another blast. If you watch the full movie, they always regen if they still not at max temperature

Tony Stark messed up and then saved by Pepper Potts at the end. His typical daily life.

I love the symbolism in this scene. Tony talks about that we create our own demons and he has both mentally and physically which is Aldrich Killian in this case. And he talks to pepper later in the movie about him wanting to protect the one thing he cares so much about he can’t live without it. And when he thought he lost pepper he lost control over himself full of rage and desire to kill his demon Killian so much he left himself vulnerable when Killian revives looking truly like a demon from hell coming to finish him off for good until the one thing he fought so hard for to protect now is the one protecting him when he is left vulnerable. That right there is the spirit of true love if you give your full effort in protecting what you care most about in the world it will always find some way to come back to you and save you from the very thing that wants to destroy you from the inside.

The fight is actually really well done the cinematography and choreography and the different ways stark uses his suit is nice very underrated fight scene

There are some great movies in there, such as Civil War, Avengers (2012), Iron Man (2008), Spider-Man Homecoming, and the two Guardians movies, etc. There are some great pieces of work in there, but there is also a lot of shit in there as well. True story: Gwenyth Paltrow got a lot of criticism for wanting to do action sequences; even her own agent said it was beneath her pedigree. Were it not for how much she enjoyed doing this shot in particular, she would not have returned for the Avengers movies. She proved her critics wrong.

If not mistaken was rebuilt by Tony afterwards, since in Spiderman Homecoming, Mark 42 was one of the cargos inside the cargo plane.

Am I the only one who thinks that it would've been cool if she could've kept the powers in a more stable form? Would've been cool to see her doing her own thing here and there without requiring a suit to fight. Don't get me wrong; it would've been AMUSING to see her suited up with Tony and Rhodes one day, bickering amongst each other the whole time while saving the day, but it would've been WAY cooler to see her putting those abilities to good use...y'know. Beyond getting the shrapnel out of dude's heart

Looking back at that scene, Tony still had the repulsor arm while “The Mandarin” was lecturing him. Bruh

This is how you show off a powerful female character. She got onto the scene, got stuff done, and looked awesome while doing so. No need to pander her gender when her actions can speak volumes about her character.

Even though in the story she is an untrained and unrefined person who has no experience whatsoever in fighting and dosent know how to control her powers or really even what they are, so she did all that while a much more trained and experienced guy just went through like 20 suits and was still unable to beat Killian... Wow, absolutely how you do the stuff🙄

Granted we don't know what sort of training she's been through off screen, and you could argue that she only managed what she did based on a fluke. It's entirely possible that this scene was constructed purely to give a female character the spot light just for the sake of it. Regardless, I was personally talking about the scene itself. When I watched this video a while back, it was during a time where everything I watched was trying to pander to some demographic (whichever one they chose), so it was refreshing to see a situation where a female character was cool without the blatant pandering. It was more so a Pepper moment rather than a moment of girl power, yeah?

It was the Mark VII and it was done really dirty. Still feel bad, seven years later. Some people say it was VIII but it was not.

I love how Pepper picked up on that move from Tony on throwing(in this case kicking) the explosive and detonating it with the… whatever that’s called.

this brought back many memories.

I love how all the suits have their own unique colours and UI in the operating system. The detail in Ironman suits are insane.

Killian: I'M THE MANDARIN!!!! Tony Leung: I'm going to destroy this man's whole career.

This goes to show that we shouldn't mess with Pepper when she's like this😂

Cap would’ve lost trust in shield even quicker than he did in winter soldier and also shield had no reason to be there so they wouldn’t have found out about it unless Stark were to have kept some with him Also the serum tended to kill most of the people who took it

@@pyropro8027 Yeah, but they didn't give a fuck what Cap thought. Just look at "project Insight" which Cap vehemently opposed. Do you think S.H.I.E.L.D wouldn't be following along when they follow Tony around and when super villains attack the president? Who do you think cleaned up that mess? Also at this time shield had a good amount of hydra in it. I doubt Pierce would think twice about injecting his goons with this stuff. Like imagine if Brock Rumlow had these powers.
