Iron Man Hulkbuster Cosplay #30 | Body Panels & Lights | James Bruton

In this week’s video, I carry on working on the Iron Man Hulkbuster cosplay from the Avenger’s Age of Ultron. Fitting the body panels & lights.
I’d neglected the legs for some time now, so I thought it was about time I fitted some more panels and get the repulsors fitted in the knees. I also wanted to build more of what was going to be the Ark Reactor piece in the chest. To do this I 3D printed the parts I needed and wired up the Arduino to the LEDs and resistors.
This is part 30 in a series I’ve been working on for over a year
In this series, I build a complete Iron Man Hulkbuster cosplay with animatronics and mechatronics with a step-by-step guide to cover everything you’ll need to build your very own suit. From 3D printing the parts to installing the mechanics that make this whole suit wearable and actually able to walk around.

This is BEYOND awesome!! I want to see more episodes!! So excited! If you want to make the battle scratches look more realistic, use the corners of a sponge or a crumpled up napkin with corners. It's easier to do.

For the opening section on the chest you should put some sort of weapons system... It looks like a rocket bay for some mini missiles like the ones you see out of the shoulders of the iron man suit in the first avengers film.

***** I think instead of applying the paint each time you add a new component, you should wait and leave it for last, it may be easier since you only have to do each of the steps (shadows, highlights, damage/scratches, etc) once, it's the best way to maintain a uniform look plus it saves you from switching paints in the airbrush all the time.

Loving it so far! You may want to consider a better mechanism for walking. It seems a bit to awkward based on the last suit up and walk video, and it's going to become heavier. Perhaps try running a cable from the heel, around a wheel on the back of the knee, and up and around the shoulder bar, then back down, so when you pull down on it, it helps raise the leg. I would love if you consider my idea. Keep up the good work!
