Second, depends who you ask, if it's a older man or older woman, to them a 20 year old is still a "kid", not calling them a literal "kid", but saying "kid" in the sense of youthful. Like in the Hawkeye show, Clint calls Kate a "kid" and she says "I'm 22" and Clint says still a "kid." Hawkeye also called Wanda Maximoff a kid in Age of Ultron even though she was a young adult.

Pepper Potts actually takes out more villains than Tony in his own movies. She kills Iron Monger in Iron Man 1 and Killian in 3, She also gets Justin Hammer arrested and never to show up in the MCU again in the second one. She wasn't lying when her first line real line in the MCU was. Potts: I do anything and everything Mr. Stark requires. Including, occasionally, taking out the trash.

Obadiah's armor is identical to the one Tony used to escape the terrorists at the beginning of the film. Obadiah's is slightly more advanced, which just goes to show just how intellectually gifted Tony really was. Edit: This is for a very good reason for all this, Obadiah literally built the Iron Monger suit around the mark 1 suit.

What's more likely is that Howard, just like Tony, came to realise that war profiteering isn't the most ethical (he viewed the Arc reactor as the key to the future, and in his very first scene chronologically, he was showing off a flying car) and Stane viewed that the same way he viewed Tony veering off that path

But if you've seen the later movies you see that Stane really didn't build anything, the Starks made the technology the most Stone did was steer Tony into stronger weapons development. Even in the first Iron Man you already see that Tony's the one designing the real stuff for Stark Industries, Stane's effectively just the guy that tells the employees what to do while Tony's not around.

@@Notashi0 You could argue that he essentially groomed Tony into manufacturing weapons. In that sense he "built" (manipulated Tony) the company from "nothing" (Howard researching the Tesseract for a source of energy instead of weapons development like Hydra did)

Something about this Iron Man fight scene feels more grounded and impactful than the others.

Someone wins. Someone loses. The thing about Marvel though, is there are many iterations of the same entities throughout the multiverse and such. Also the first thing Tony did when designing the Mk. 2 was to remove all the clutter and junk from the Mk. 1 Obadiah just adds more clutter and junk, and makes the suit so big that it's a miracle it can even throw punches Obadiah wanted his suit to be used for war, Tony wanted his suit to be better than ones similar to Obadiah's

I love how this movie starts off with him being selfish and sleeping with other girls, and then when you get caught by the terrorists he becomes a completely different person in the first half is just him trying to escape the terrorists and stuff, His armor starts off as scraps, and then in the climax at the end of this movie, he uses things that he learned throughout the movie like the iceing problem and stuff. Man we went from this masterpiece to captain america Lifting Thor's hammer

Tony upgrades his suit multiple ways later, because he learns from his mistakes

Seeing how these suits in the first stages were flying and walking tanks (literally) it’s an absolute miracle Tony didn’t punch a hole through cap when they were fighting. It felt like the newer suits cut down on the mass to be more agile and have better weaponry and tech but some thing about these first suits just made them feel like brick shit houses.

Obadiah's suit was actually fire to be honest. It was really scary to see, similar to the feeling when Hulk tries to catch you.

I love how it sorta moves like the hulkbuster suits, sorta like hulkbuster mk0

Crazy to see how far tony has come, in terms of his suit and what a better fighter he is. Infinity war Tony would have clapped this guy in less than 30 seconds.
