Amazing solo

It’s so cool when you do these kinds of videos because I hear things I’ve never noticed before! Sometimes those little nuances get buried in the mix. I always think of SiT as “Adrian’s album.” It’s just dreamy from beginning to end! Thank you for doing this and for showcasing all of those magical guitar parts from the best twin guitar duo ever! 🎸🤘What a song and what an album!

They always did have a tendency to do that in their mixes, where they go for a specific all-around sound rather than good instrument separation. Sounds great but it also makes my life a little harder sometimes 🤣 It's interesting that many consider it to be Adrian's album when he only wrote 3 songs, but I think it's because you really feel his influence on the song structures, melodies and the overall sound of the album. Just the general direction of the music... Glad you enjoyed this one! I really wanted it to be good as it's such a special song. Thank you! ☺️

I've been an Iron Maiden fan since the early 80's and this is the album I have listened to the most often. There is an otherworldly quality to this album that just makes me come back to it time and time again.

most people who cover this song get Dave's cords all wrong or off bad in the middle section following Adrian's solo but you got it spot on. It's so beautiful. This album is just full of amazing harmonies...

The bridge from the solo to the melodic part drives me crazy. A masterpiece! Your performance is simply perfect 👍

I have heard this song million times and never gets old. The main solo and the outro solo is so beautiful. You nailed it from the beginning to the end. I wish they played it live again.

I play guitare myself for over 10 years now This guys juste got right on the tape, its incredible how he got the tone and tabs juste perfect. Been listening this video over and over again for a years and still love it like the first time.

The pre-solo harmony is just so beautiful.

This song has always been in my top 10 of Maiden tracks. Nicely played Sir!

So much of Adrian, Dave ..and Steve's work is still so far ahead and perfect 🔥

Your vibrato technique just keeps getting better and better. That right hand precision tapping is so soulful, much like all the licks and leads in this one. I could go on for days about this wonderful tune. Tremendous performance Nico!

My favourite song from my favourite Maiden album. The ultimate blend of heavy riffing and sublime melody. Adrian really is an outstanding writer.

Still hope they play this one next year. I like it more then Heaven can wait and alexander the great. Of course your cover is great as always.

This is one of those songs where the rhythms have to be just right also because the two guitars are playing off one another in the main riff, each one placing the accent on a different part of the beat. You have to get it exactly right or it'll sound like a mess. And yes, I think it's an absolute blast to play 😃🤘 So glad you enjoyed it!

Great playing as ever and let's hope it makes the set list. Going off at a tangent I went to watch my football team Brighton last Sunday. Being a maiden fanatic I spotted a bloke in the crowd who looked very much like like Adrian's guitar tech Sean Brady. The clincher was that he was carrying a bag with Seymour Duncan on it. I politely approached him and he was the perfect gentlemen. I thanked him for how he contributes to the great show and he thanked me and gave me one of Adrian's custom Ernie Ball picks! :)

I would love it although I don't know how well it would work live, considering they removed it from the tour after just a few nights back in the day. The riff can sound quite messy - even recording this video was a challenge to keep things from getting muddied up! If they could make it work, I would be over the moon, that's for sure!!

I really think those little touches and subtleties are a big part of what binds these songs to our memories. 😊 I am very much ready for that tour... I'll be seeing them in Zurich and Hannover. 😃🤘

I hope this is one of the tracks chosen for the Future Past tour, and I hope Adrian resurrects his custom MIDI Jackson or has them build him an upgraded replacement...that San Dimas was my dream guitar as a teenager. He weilds it in the Stranger in a Strange Land video.

Shit 2 days late to this party!!! KZread alerts! Brilliant Nico. I had Somewhere in time on cassette tape in the late 1980s and wore it out haha. Without doubt a classic maiden tune.

Yeah wearing out vinyls and cassettes was a sign of love for sure! I still have my original cassette... There are spots where the sound drops 😁 but it still plays!

Watching your videos has really swung me from the Dave to the Adrian camp.. I've a much greater appreciation of how his sound hugely influenced maiden. That said both guitarists perfectly complement each other.

That pre-chorus is just magical. I fell in love with it when I first heard it back in 1993 as a 12 year old beginning my Maiden journey. I hope to see them perform it next year. Great cover again man \m/
