My 10 years daughter of my sister have had to make a projects for her music class. The theme was " my favourite song" . She choose this song. They have to talk about the lyrics, the instruments and why this is their favourite song. After that the teacher played it for the class. So...next generation is coming.

This song is an icon for us Maiden fans. I believe there is no Maiden fan who will not drop a sigh "Ah RIP you great Clive" (The late drummer Clive Burr) when listening to Run to the Hills studio version. And you recently reacted twice to the Jap fem band Lovebites, which are in many ways the modern female version of Iron Maiden. Great band I hope you react more to Lovebites... Thumb up and cheers :)

The amount of really good metal that can be found (thanks to the internet) is amazing. When I grew up, you heard the pap that was on the radio and if you wanted anything else you had to buy an album. it might be good, it might be crap, but you had no other way to try it. The problem was, I couldn't afford to buy that many albums. Now, I can sample bands from all over the world. In 2004, when internet availability was taking off, my son turned me on to Manowar, Hammerfall, and other metal bands. That led to Nightwish, Sabaton, and too many great bands to name here. Thanks for sharing the trip with us, stay safe, keep rocking.

Excellent reaction, again !!... I took my daughter to see Iron Maiden a few weeks ago in Barcelona, mindblowing live show.... she said it was best concert she has ever been to... The special guests were Within Temptation & Airbourne.. Brilliant night all around 🤘🤘🤘

I saw Iron Maiden live in Dortmund 1983 Westfalen Halle. I was 24 years old at that time. This live version is still on youtube and imo better than this studio version. Maybe you could react to number of the beast live at Dortmund 1983.

the 2001 Rock in Rio version is the gold standard. En Vivo is great, but there is just something magical about the Rock in Rio show. Rio will always be the best version for me.

This recommendation may be a bit too big for you but I would love to see you react to Queensryche and their entire album called Operation Mindcrime. it is a concept album where each song come together to tell 1 story. It is a great record with a very interesting story. As for Run to The Hills. This song just tells me (Im from the USA) that my home is sitting on land that was stolen from the Native Americans.

And now you know who influenced Lovebites. LOL. First saw Iron Maiden in mid 70s with Paul Di'Anno on vocals who was on the first 2 albums. Bruce Dickinson was singing with another band called Samson. Prefer Bruce with Maiden the same as I prefer Floor with Nightwish.

This is a song where the lyrics express both sides. The Native Americans on one side and the white invaders being English, Spanish and Portuguese. Sorry France, you were too late.
