Went on a graduation trip a week ago. Was highly debating between going to Ohio and knocking out cedar point and kings island or going to Florida and doing sea world, the universal resort parks, and Busch gardens. Ended up going to Florida, and seeing this makes me feel like I made the right decision. Experiencing velocicoaster, mako, and iron gwazi for the first time all in under a week was mind-blowing.

I'm still taking Steel Vengeance but just barely. It feels more out of control during the second half while going through the supports and the last zero G roll feels like it goes on forever. Iron Gwazi wins if you want a more insane chaotic experience. Steel Vengeance wins if you want a feast of glorious airtime. I personally still prefer Steel Vengeance. I don't agree that IG is higher quality. I think it's just more diverse but I like the airtime more on Steel Vengeance in terms of quality and quantity and the inversions are also great as is the dizzying ride through the structure. Put another way, Iron Gwazi is like a fancy new dish at a world class Thai restaurant full of flavor and spice that everyone is raving about. Steel Vengeance is like the finest cut of Kobe beef tenderloin at the best steakhouse. Maybe I'm just hungry.

Without getting into too much detail, I think what struck me most about IG was the claim of "12 air time opportunities". That's BS, the ENTIRE RIDE is airtime. Riding in the rear car, other than the first hill I don't think my butt was touching the seat for more than 5 seconds from start to finish. I'm 61, been riding coasters since I was about 10, and have never experienced anywhere near the level of insanity that this ride delivers. Major kudos to the designer, pure genius!

Fantastic long layout, love flying in and out of it’s structure and night rides are legendary! I found myself loving the elements & their placement just a tad bit more on SteVe than Gwazi. Airtime is plentiful on SteVe and if you have the pleasure of a backseat ride…it feels like a bullet leaving a gun! I haven't ridden Iron Gwazi, but I strongly believe Steel Vengeance is a more of a masterpiece and complete ride - both from an artistic perspective and as a ride experience. By just looking at the layouts and stats on paper, it's peculiar that Iron Gwazi gets quoted in this video multiple times as being a better ride experience because it's more "intense", but there's virtually no talk at all about Steel Vengeance being the only RMC's that travels through it's own structure in such a brilliant way - with wave turns and inversions galore, the second half of Vengeance honestly makes it feel like two rides in one. This is where Vengeance shines. It's a two-part experience, which it doesn't sound like Gwazi has. I'm sure I'd absolutely love Gwazi, but for me I just can't imagine something topping Steel Vengeance. Multiple times in this video people say Vengeance is "repetitive" and I entirely disagree. It may feel that way due to "lapping" through the same geographical space three times, but each lap is entirely different. Gwazi seems like intensity through and through, but Vengeance actually has variation, so it makes no sense to say it's repetative. I think this is a great video, but was too biased towards Gwazi. There is a reason Vengeance is #1 on captaincoaster.com. That being said, my entire comment is somewhat irrelevant until I ride Gwazi myself someday lol. I just wanted to stand up for my favorite coaster. 😊 Rant over.

I like Gwazi's drop and a couple of the other elements better, but overall have to go with Steel Vengeance. When you actually think about all the elements Steeel Vengeance has to offer, it just wins for me. The different ways it delivers airtime, the inversions in the lift hill, the elements in the structure, the outerbank, they combine to make an overall better ride. I haven't gotten a night ride on IG, and have a bunch on SV, but I don't think that would change it for me.

I havent ever been on iron gwazi but i have been on velocicoaster and i have heard that they are both in their own league of roller coasters. Velocicoaster is currently my number 3 ride right behind revenge of the mummy (crazy ass theming) and montu (yes i have been to parks outside of florida). For me personally, a front row ride on montu is the craziest roller coaster experience ive ever had and i hope that iron gwazi can live up to that.

El Toro and SteVe are two coasters I love but I can't decide which should be my #1 and #2... SteVe was my #1 but when Sarah put El Toro as her #1 because of it's importance to her, what made her an enthusiast... El Toro was the same for me, it was the first time I had a back seat ride, the first Ejector airtime I ever felt, the first coaster I marathoned (24 times in one day, 14 of which in a row), it was the most intense coaster I ever rode and I loved it to pieces. It was my #1 till I rode SteVe, but now I think El Toro deserves to be my #1 because of what it means to me, I just haven't ridden it since 2018 due to circumstances...

The way it dives into it with all those head-choppers and disorients you as you go through the inversions-- it's just right up my alley and there's nothing quite like it I've ever seen. 😂😂😂 this was definitely a very entertaining video, thank you! We rewatched "This Is How We Roll" again this weekend that's definitely the greatest coaster documentary I've ever seen. I Hope you get some kind of award or at least recognized for your efforts💯 So what I'm going to say next is all in fun and I hope none of your fanboys stalk me, hack me, or make me disappear🤷🏽‍♂️🤣 but that video was COMPLETELY BIASED! looks like you're talking to your friends and honestly looks very STAGED 💯 I just came from Coaster Con44 (at the banquet your guy Jacob Kilcup from RMC gave the keynote address/ speach) He gave a great speech but everyone at our table was laughing because as he ran down the history of RMC, we all already knew what was coming next from watching "This is how we roll" so it was kind of funny, we all started looking at each other and we're like "did you watch coaster Studios documentary?" And everyone was like "Yeah, a few times"😊 so that was a great moment I wanted to share BUT point is.....@Coaster Con where you have people from all over the country even the world, I talked to ALOT of people over a 4 day period, and most of them were Team SteVe OVER Iron Gwazi..... I personally go with sTeVe because I think they're very similar, and if I can have the same thing but more of it, then sign me up. I don't see any huge differences other than the the length, and then on IG there is that death roll, (that death roll on IG is INSANE) but I'm saying for the MOST PART, 95% of the rides feel very similar for me so I'm.saying sTeVe for the quantity, quality, and it's 40 mins from my home💯 But MOST people at Coaster Con were all taking Steel Vengeance! So maybe THAT would have been a good place to do this survey, NOT at Iron Gwazis opening day months ago after 2 years of hype and anticipation,🤣(nice try tho) but at a coaster convention, with people who are not just your buddies who are dying to agree with you because your you, but where you have a DIVERSE, wide spectrum of different people💯 OH ..... and tell Schwartz to GET OFF THESE ROLLER COASTERS AND GET TO BEREA!!!! (He'll know what I mean😂) I live in Cleveland and he better do his thing this year because if he doesn't I'm going to know why, and I'm going to put hime on blast.... he's too busy stacking his credit count, he needs to start stacking the stat sheet this year and leave the coasters to you! So tell him we have high hopes for him, and to GET TO WORK! WE NEED HIM THIS YEAR!!! 💯🤣🤣🤣 seriously tho, keep up the great work, and be safe on that trip✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾

Thanks for your feedback! That’s awesome you got to hear Jake speak, and that you knew so much of RMC’s backstory because of our film. But I gotta emphasize, we didn’t stage any of this! Yes we did ask a lot of our friends, but we didn’t tell anyone which they should vote for! And we actually filmed it months after Iron Gwazi opened, none of it was from opening day. But It definitely blew our minds that we didn’t get anyone on camera who lived SV better- it was just luck of the draw!

Steel Vengeance was my #1 for four years, but it recently got dethroned by VelociCoaster. Riding that for the first time made me realize how repetitive SV is and how it mainly has one type of force, airtime. That’s not a knock at all, but I’ve discovered I like coasters that do all the forces well. VelociCoaster DOES do everything extremely well with a great variety of elements plus it’s very long, and as a bonus the theming is world class. I’ve always loved how Maverick is a jack of all trades and VelociCoaster took that concept to the next level. If Iron Gwazi is what everyone says it is, I’ll probably prefer it over SV but I’m not sure about VelociCoaster.
