Takes me back to the British army 10 man ration pack. I made a cheesecake from biscuits brown OG ( smashed with the heel of a boot) mixed with tinned margarine. Cheese processed, powered milk, and powered egg( to make a kind of cheese custard) All cooked in a mess tin and topped with jam and chocolate sprinkles. It was not what could be called "light". Back when I was in high school, I was in JROTC. I was either the S5 or S4 /admin at the time and I decided to host an Iron Chef MRE battle with our JROTC and two visiting schools at our annual JROTC ball. They had to select an MRE and create a presentable dish. I also put the music of the theme song from the Japanese Iron Chef show (which is also the song Show Me Your Fire Truck from the Backdraft Soundtrack). They had fun.

I feel like you might be the youngest of the family just the way your dad sits like he is going to feed you😂 but it’s a beautiful thing! Iron chef you seem to be a amazing person it shines through Very inspiring!
Dad is a treasure of humanity.
i love his dads energy for cooking. he really loves what he does
You took MREs and turned them into what the soldiers WISH they could get. That looks amazing.
I just love the relationship you have with your dad
Amazing! Luv your dad! He makes me miss the Chinese chef I studied w/for 10-years aka my stepmom Lily. She passed away from cancer during COVID. It's not just the accent but the passion & joi de vivre.
Makes me miss my dad not a gourmet cook like the iron chef but he loved to cook and I loved to eat his food...Good to see dad and son spend quality time together...
Always enjoy the father son dynamic and the wealth of knowledge Chef has.
This is the best one yet. I appreciate that he even went above and beyond to use the wrappings and utensils they provide in the MREs. That little extra bit of respect to the MREs that are untasty food made out of practical necessity rather than junk food available when we could be eating something better. Love itb
This is soooo entertaining and calming. Love your channel ❤
I like how he's getting better and better on how to say notification at the end of every new video, keep up the great vids! 期待下个视频!
These videos are so good. I'm seriously glued to the screen to see what he does with the ingredients!
Hey Jet, Have your dad do a series on what to cook for kids lunches. Healthy, nutritious, tasty lunch for kids. Back to school series

Speaking as a student, that sounds like it would be an amazing series
Halfway through this I forgot he was cooking with an MRE and just enjoyed watching him cook 😂
i think the best part of this is that you both seem to be having a great time together.
Love watching Chef cook! Great idea for a channel! The way you two interact is so fun to watch!
You know the content is good when you like the video before it even starts! Love you and your pops y’all are legends.
Love this! I always look forward to you and your dads videos!
He is such a nice guy and a dad. I come here more for his personality than his cooking.
I’ve been crushing on your dads cooking skills for years from the days of CookingTV marathons of Iron Chef to KZread IronChefDad. Your dad was born for this challenge lol! Thank you for keeping him young and us normal people relevant 😂😂
Your dad is awesome. ❤️ love your relationship with him
A combination of coq au vin, beef stew and dumplings. You are a MASTER at what you do my friend! There are cooks and there are chefs and if people never knew the difference between the two titles you just showed them the difference.. PASSION AND CREATIVITY.. Can't wait for the next video
A true art of the culinary skills. Love it
This was amazing, love the dumpling idea. Tough competition for Wolfgang...too bad you both retired from the game. Thank you, such a wonderful way to show how much you love.
Love your dad cooking presentation as well as u can turn dish into gourmet. Chefff kisss .
But it filled our boots.

You guys get a 10 man rations? we just get a bunch and then Rat-fuck the shit out of them for what we need
This is such an endearing channel i cant explain it with words. Please keep doing everything you guys do :)
I love how he uses the silverware plastic and spoon in the preparation process. He definitely has plastic wrap and spoons from his own supplies but he's making it more entertaining to amuse his son and us the audience.

In the last fine dining restaurant kitchen I worked we had a collection of improvised tools that included artist brushes and silicone shapers, Play-Doh cookie cutters and a carpenter's rasp. Always a joy to watch Susur at work.
You can tell the day is a really good respectfull person because his son is so polite and well manner. As i man i hope i can be life this man a little more.
I love watching you cook it's so relaxing
Him smacking down the butter is so funny 🤣
Your dad is such a legend I wish I knew how to cook like him
Thank you for your service 🙏🙏
I love that he's so passionate with cooking. I subscribed !
Treasure those moments lad. Truly special.
Just found this and its brilliant! I'm all in on seeing more of this!
I love your Dad!!! We ate MREs as kids of a military patents we would have loved having your Dad around to help us!😂😂😂

So fun watching your dad!!❤️❤️
I love how having an Iron Chef dad has given you a very sensitive and capable palate.
Lmfao that thumbnail is fire
Dang you guys have crazy cooking ideas. It's teaching me how to become a better cook.
I love how he cooks. raw and with his hands. beautiful
So talented 👍🏽
What if you guys made another version AFTER but with your dad's choice of ingredients? Like a FULL gourmet meal but same idea as the dish
@jamescheddar4896

i feel like that might be less interesting than you imagine because MRE's are already designed to imitate gourmet meals. we already know this guy will have a good recipe for lasagna or beef stroganof or whatever the MRE entree is
@MH-yp4or

@@jamescheddar4896 the second wouldn’t use the MRE. Chef would just whatever actually ingredients he would actually use, kinda like how binging with babish does his videos.
The most wholesome person I've seen in a long time. Appreciate the content
Dude your pops is an artist. Love his work. Mad respect 👊🏼

MORE CONTENT!! This channel is great!
Dude, these videos are so relaxing, so good
Dude is such an awesome dad. Wish my dad cooked like this and taught me! Wish I had a dad...
They should bring someone in the military to try it
Such a blessing to have a Father.
the butter technique was absolutely beautiful!
Your father is a treasure, and he must be protected at all costs. Please love this man always.
Thanks to this video I will never gently lay a knob of butter into a pan ever again
Love y'all's channel
Your dad is the coolest guy ever!! I could sit and pick his brain for hours!
Slamming that butter on the pan like a mad man lol.
i already know the food will be fire
It’s impressive to see someone who is so successful with their career is a great father as well. Love the videos!
Good video as always, also just got my package quality of the shirts are crazy.
Jet looked like he didn’t like it
Steve1989 needs to see this!
Thankyou chef Lee and Jet .
Smack it Down! Haha loved how he smacked that butter in.
I wasn’t in the military but as a pledge in college I was forced to eat a whole MRE pack and drink a double bottle of moscato in 15 minutes. I’m glad to see someone incorporate wine into an MRE better than I did lmaoooo
@Blackcloud288

LOL in basic training they also forced us to eat our whole MREs in 10 minutes No Moscato though, the killjoys XD
No one is gonna comment the knife that he used to open the mre??
Love these guys
Wow this is amazing. You are so lucky to have a pro chef as a dad :)
How is no one talking about “For increased performance. What kind of performance?…” And then the soft “Just joking” 😂😂😂 I love Sursur, every child’s dream parent
That was the most muted reaction Jet has ever had to one of Susur’s meals. Is it possible he did not like it? That would be a first.
@abbyrejanoxo

Nah I don’t think so, Jet’s usually honest. he’s been transparent with not liking something about a meal before (like saying it’s too salty). Probably was quiet just cause it wasn’t much of a “wow” compared to the other ones he’s made

Feels that our son and you done a great job! Awesome. Like it!
Love the videos, true master chef
In my time, Army, we ate C Rations that came in a box. Each box had a different menu such as beef stew, spaghetti etc. that were in cans . A can opener included called a P38. Also dessert, coffee , sugar, tp, matches. We'd heat up the cans on a generator or a stove. Then came the mres.
