Jet - Your Dad is a genius & a superstar! I'm American & I cooked dinner everyday for 10-years (8-18 years old) w/my Chinese (Taiwanese) stepmom. Neither of us were aware of the concept of a "stage" - where students go to study directly under a chef - and those 10-years resulted in a highly developed palate. In college and over the years, I used my palate to earn money thru Chinese catering. It took me 40-years to understand that our "home cooking" was really Michelin star quality Chinese food. Impossible to find at a regular Chinese restaurants unless your paying $100/person. I'll always be grateful to her. She was an immigrant & her vocab was similar to your dad's. I at least learned some Chinese..."kitchen Chinese" I called it. I'm African American NOT white American.

An idea for the egg stuffed chicken: freeze it, vacuum seal it and sous vide it (to ensure everything is cooked perfectly) before coating and frying? It might keep its shape! Not exactly the best way to serve an egg, but seems like a fun idea to put an egg inside a chicken. It's kind of like an "embryonic" fried chicken concept.

If I wasn't already noviticated, this would totally get me 😂 love you guys!
Oh thank you for the novavacation bell😂😂😂🙌🏼 I like this part😊😂 so sweet
An idea for the egg stuffed chicken: freeze it, vacuum seal it and sous vide it (to ensure everything is cooked perfectly) before coating and frying? It might keep its shape! Not exactly the best way to serve an egg, but seems like a fun idea to put an egg inside a chicken. It's kind of like an "embryonic" fried chicken concept.
That chicken and egg one seems good on paper. Only if the egg gets cooked lol.

I think it would be cool to see a reaction vid where Iron Chef Dad reacts to his favorite food/restaurant before and after eating like the guy he's talking about at 6:03 for a week.

I remember trying Natto. I already knew that it had a "nasty flavor" to people outside of Japan, but I thought I could handle it due to being accustomed to more Japanese foods. I was not ready and nearly threw up lmao.
