Great stress test on the 980/981 for carpet, which my house is covered with. Hope you hit 10,000 soon & hope I can win this robot!

I'm going for the 980 because the suction is better on that, and the i7 has just one power setting. I don't care about the better mapping or anything like that.

You make great informative videos and I bought a Samsung Jet 90 (IIRC) after watching another one of your videos. These are still $200 or less refurbed today! I have a suggestion in your testing to throw some actual numbers into it. You should weigh the debris before and after you vacuum to get a better evaluation of what was missed. Filters might add complexity but you could include the entire bin/filter in your before/after weigh in. Keep trucking brother

Impressive job. The suction over the i7 shows here. But man, again, these things are LOUD.

Good job overall. I think the hardwood problem is the speed of the spinning brush. Most robots scatter the debris. I really don't know why they all have hat brush spinning so fast. It is not a race, just a method to push something in front of the robot. I have seen people getting better results on hard floor by cutting off all the brush legs, except one. You don't want to do a comparison test like that with one of your vacs?

I agree....If it cut off the other 2 brushes then it would be like the shark IQ right? Then it suffers on the edge cleaning.

I've asked this before, with no response... what about doing it back to back on the low vs highest power setting? I can't explain it, I have no idea why, there is no rational explanation, but my vacuum always seems to come back with a lot more in the bin on "quiet" mode - lowest setting. You'd think the highest suction setting would pick up the most, but it doesn't seem to.

Yea I can try that...want just a normal test or another stress test on low?

@@AdamsReviews I think either might show any measurable difference. Mine has carpet detection and goes low then high on carpet. Even then, it brings back more if I set it on low versus auto. It might explain why some people find some bots great but they crash and burn when you test them on max.

Which one is louder? Coral one or ROOMBA 980?

Probably the coral one to me...but I think the decibel count was higher on the 981

@@AdamsReviews yea could be because you used your phone which is less accurate... use the actual decibel meter on the coral one. 🙂
