Male or female, they are the finest rock band in the world.

Just an FYI, this song is not typical of Band-Maid up to now. This is one of their fastest and hardest so far. I love it but they have so many others that are fantastic as well. Check out their live shows to see just how good of a singer Saiki is! she's seriously amazing! Just as good live as recorded. Any of the live ones from their channel are fantastic.

Other Band Maid songs to react to? Okay here's a start: Domination Play Puzzle Bubble Alone Real Existence Secret my lips Dice Blooming That should give you a good flavour. Oh, and they are even better live.

And they're songs are literally all great, and they're not all the same - they can blast your face off (like on this one), or they can captivate you with their songwriting and ridiculous skill levels. Honestly, it's more impressive to watch their live performances, just to watch them pull of their songs, all the while having as much fun or more than their audience. They make it look easy and make most bands look like they are sleep walking. They are the most adorable group of bad asses on the planet.

They don't only do high-energy rock. They also have some pretty ballad-ish songs. Check out the music videos for "Endless Story" and "Daydreaming".

Great to see 1st responses to BAND-MAID ha-ha. Im a fairly new fan myself compared to the ARMY of "Maidiacs" who I have come to accept are maybe the nicest fan group Ive ever met. I'll recommend "Wonderland" for you as a singer. Welcome to the wonderful world of Band Maid! These ladies are truly the best. It honestly takes several listens to appreciate all the nuances of their songs but you won't regret it.

Song-wise, probably Dice or Blooming or Rinne or Real Existence are all good choices. Onset and Domination are cool too. All have official music videos; some have live versions as well. They have a lot more songs than what I just mentioned, so the options are plentiful.

They were a 4 piece that that felt Miku didn't have the voice to do all they wanted to they auditioned a Vocalist, Saiki. Miku then started learning guitar after they had formed which you can see in their early songs. In the Music video Thrill you can see she is not comfortable on guitar since you know a couple weeks/months to learn might be fast. They all stuck together and you can see where they are now. Before their first live show as 5 Saiki asked what she should wear and the other 4 told her they had something cute to wear. She only found out it was maid costumes right before going on stage. The other 4 were worried she might back out, and Saiki later said she might have backed out. Now I believe they all like the outfits.

Every one of them is amazing and on point with there instruments. They are amazing. Sonic pleasing. Then if you're into that they are beautiful as well. But as a band they are phenomenal

This song was commissioned as the opening song the anime Log Horizon season 3. Their songs are normally longer but just as energetic especially their live videos.

Who would have thought an Irish women speechless, I wish my wife would be from time to time 😉!! This band is what I would call the perverbial rabbit hole, once down you are never coming out!! In saying that there are a number of all female bands coming out of Japan lately ie Lovebites, worth a looksee!! The craic from Bandmaid is fantastic and to be fair no bad songs whatsoever, suggestions to watch to and not in any particular order as they are better live, no bad thing I say, Dice (mv), domination (live) 2020, on set (live) to get you started.

Thank you. Very entertaining reaction! Band-Maid isn’t really a go-to band for reactions by vocalists or singers... although they are without doubt one of the most awesome bands in the world. If you want something less overwhelming to review from them, you could start with Daydreaming MV on their channel. It’s an awesome Rock Ballad. You might be surprised it’s the same band in the beginning but under all that it’s the same skills and energy in a different form. It’s also a lot slower tempo so that mig allow you to talk more. soon as i heard its your first time, my first thought “they’re gonna melt her face on the first beat” 😂 They have a ton of songs and have been getting internationally popular in the past 2ish years. Hell, they even went to Poland to play lol. So they tour a lot (when possible). For something with Japanese instruments mixed in, for April fools, they went online and changed their name to Band-Maiko (maiko is a younger trainee to become geisha) , changed their maid outfits to kimonos, and said that its the new band’s permanent look and name, while releasing a special song that mixed in Japanese instruments with their normal rock music. It was an April Fool’s joke, and they’ve done it two years running, except for 2020 because of obvious reasons. The music videos are: “Gion-cho” “Secret Maiko Lips” For another cool visuals song, this one in terms of lights and camera work, you can watch “Blooming” music video. Beware, outside of a few songs like the ones above (and “Rinne” , as well as “Thrill”) 10/10 times, you should be watching their live performances. Most people who request their songs, they are referring to their live versions. Because they’re even better live. 🤘

Check out their alter ego, Band-Maiko. It's mainly the same songs, just redone with traditional Japanese instruments (along with guitar, bass, and drums), and the lyrics rewritten in the Kyoto dialect. The Maids also dress, not in maid outfits, but in traditional maiko attire. Also, check out AVOID. Not only did I know them in high school (when they started), but as their social media handle says, AVOID kicks ass. Start with "Thoughts of You"

You really need to start from the begging they formed in 2013 first song & video is Thrill then work your way through to see how much they have improved in 8 years their live sets are incredible i have followed these ladies from the start the best hard rock band in the world bar none

You haven't even scratched the surface of what these ladies are capable of. From the spacious, hopeful, melancholy of "Daydreaming", fun and adventurous "Freedom", or socially conscious "The Dragon Cries" there is virtually no facet of rock music these women cannot skillfully execute! Once you go down this Pidgeon Hole there's no turning back, and the it's well worth the ride!

If this is the first song then your journey into Band Maid is just the beginning!!

I see you've gotten lots of good BandMaid suggestions. For another all-girl band, I would also suggest Lovebites. "Holy War" and "Thunder Vengeance" from their new concert release are on their channel, along with a number of other songs. If BandMaid is the best hard rock group, then Lovebites might be the best heavy metal group. There are a lot of good Japanese bands, though. Aldious, Bridear, Mary's Blood, Nemophila, Tricot, Unlucky Morpheus, Polkadot Stingray and the list goes on and on.

They are all trained musicians aside from Miku who was taught by Kanami and Saiki who is actually beginning to learn piano i believe and maybe guitar (most likely both again from Kanami). Those of you who know, that has to be Kanami's absolute dreams come true lol.

Just for a moment, forget they're all female and forget they're dressed as maids. Two members (Misa - Bass, Akane - Drums) are classically trained pianists and musicians who studied at the Tokyo Academy of Music while Kanami, the lead guitarist, has also been playing piano since the age of 3 or 4 but is concert standard (almost unbelievably, given her skills, she only switched to guitar about 10 years ago!) They all have superb musical ability as well as passion, a lack of ego and the drive to play real, in your face, Rock which is why they are THE best live Rock band on Earth right now. OK, now that's explained, you can go back and marvel at how cute those outfits look and how incredibly beautiful all the band members are. The only band I've seen that is playing live like bands I went to see in the 70's, such as Led Zeppelin or Sabbath or Zappa. Music they write themselves, real guitars, drums and bass played loudly and with passion as well as powerful Rock vocals. They are all really close friends and know how to have fun together on stage, confident as they are in each others’ abilities and skills. They've revived the classic Rock sound and given the genre a much needed kick in the ass, as Babymetal have done for Metal. Future reactions I'd recommend, as they really shine brightest live, would be from the DVD they released in April.
