The last house party I was part of, we mixed several bottles of grain alcohol with Sprite in a metal wash basin that we got at Home Depot, then threw plastic frogs, rats, and snakes in for decoration. We forgot that the rats were squeaky toys, and it took about 15 minutes for folks to forget that we had Solo cups and they just started squirting it into their mouths directly from the toy, giving birth to the phrase, a Rat's Ass Shot.

I think it's more just based on the house, or which college is nearby. Used to do a traveling marketing job and when the college doesn't allow drinking on campus, the dorm kids go to hotels. I've seen everything from beer to blue label and every liqueur I've heard of and many more I haven't. As an aside, we always had work in the morning and they were always loud as fuck. Always.

The last time I hosted a house party i had a case of beer, 3 boxes of wine (red, white, rose') a 6 pack (or 2) of wine coolers or choice of carbonated alcohol mixed concoction in a can, tequila mixers for margatitas/daiquiris in a blender, rum/vodka for shots (all of them, cheapest prices available) and... a good bottle of Absinthe. The alcohol we collectively bought for the party is the last clear memory I have of that weekend. Thanks Green Fairy.

Yea I don't drink, I've only had one drink in my entire life for one very special reason, but I went to plenty of parties in college. There's usually one side of the fridge full of Jell-O shots or a cooler full of them. Sometimes they don't do the best research.

For the record, shots like these aren't usually the main thing people drink at these parties. They are just little treats that get handed out through the night to supplement the beer. That is why they are fancy. Most of them are way too sweet and will give you the worst hangover the next day if you drink a lot of them.

As an American, every house party I went to, especially in college, only had beer, jello shots, rum and coke/jack and coke, and trash can punch (which is essentially a tub full of every liquor in the house). Although, I knew how to make a buttery nipple, whiskey sour, and would drink those (of course byob, so...). And I learned how to make a Scooby Snack and Baby Guinness when I studied abroad in Ireland. I know a lot more now, but that's all I knew in my college years.

Eadaoin and Ciara are a dynamic duo. They even did the Irish chant they previously did in the Poitin video :D

I don’t think I’ve had one with SoCo, but the ones I drank in school used peach schnapps instead

I feel like Ciara telling someone they need to be examined in a lab is one of the biggest compliments you could ever get from her.

American House Parties are usually just cold brews and straight shots. Drinking games as well. Maybe Jello Shots if the gals are game. You usually get the fancy shooters somewhere earlier in the evening, in my experience. Also, the minute I saw the Four Horsemen shot coming down the pike, my liver screamed "NOOOOOOOOO"

In university, we used to make Alabama Slammers in a 5-gallon pail for parties. Definitely not drunk as a shot. Would have a bucket of those and one of moose milk(learned to make that in the military).

I have always seen 4 horseman to be Jim,Jack,José, and Jonhnie Walker. No need to use a single malt Scotch in a mixed shot.

I think that is 4 horseman in a boat or just 4 men in a boat. 4 horseman has Jim, Jack, Johnnie and Jameson representing the 4 diff types of whiskey.

I was going to say it, but you saved me the time. I've done a great many shots, but not a single one of these. Black Russian is a drink sure, but never seen it done as a shot.

Seen plenty of four horsemen. None of the mothers. Lots of jager bombs, vegas bombs, tequilla shots and whiskye shots. Also mind erasers. Which lives up to its name.

American here. We never did any of these shots at house parties as a youth. We definitely made jello shots tho, all the way back in the 90s. A long house party tradition.
