I really enjoyed video! Rakes of Clonmel is my favorite tune because for me it's easy to play. I took up mandolin as a retirement hobby, but on my best day my nearly 70 year old fingers can't play half that tempo! But thanks to you I know what it's *supposed* to sound like - and it sounds so much better with the chord accompaniment!

Great tune and I love your playing of it. I find this one tricky to play in a session as half of the folks will play the 3 part version

Great tune! Really like having the rhythm mando. If you do more videos like this, could you show the left hand of the rhythm mando so that we can see the chord positions ? Thanks

Very beautiful melodies, but I just want to ask if there are notes, not tabs? I just think the notes are much clearer and more convenient) I think many people also need notes. Could you leave them? In the description or in the comments?

Man, you are just churning out videos left and right lately. Sounds great; I wish I could get my mandolin to sound half that good. Do you do any mixing/mastering/EQing on your audio after filming videos?

@@Tergal14Mandolin Cool, thanks for the reply! I've been using two Rodes M5 mics (one aimed at where I pick, the other pointed at the neck), and then add reverb, compression with ~6ms of attack, then EQ to slightly boost the lows (~275 Hz), scoop the mids around 1.10 kHz, and boost the highs around 4.20 kHz. It sounds ok in my recordings, but it's nowhere near as warm and rich as yours sound. Seriously, kudos on that tone, because it's absolutely beautiful.

@@JakeMakesMusic711 I only use a Zoom H1, my DSLR, and my mandolin. Then I mix the sound with Adobe Audition (compressor, equalizer, a light reverb). I edit videos with Premiere.
